The Integrate Assessment Models(IAMs) have been widely used to understand future emission pathways and impacts to climate change and air quality. An integrated analysis of air pollution and climate change is important to represent the co-effects of both strategies. The GHGs and Air pollutants Unified Information DEsign System for Environment (GUIDE)is in Konkuk University an IAM to deal with CC and AQ together. The GUIDE-Korea can integrate climate change and air quality strategies together and performs subsequent analysis, including energy projection, policy implementation, emission estimation, air quality simulation, impact estimation, and cost calculation. In this study, the future scenario emissions in Korea were estimated using CREATE emissions inventory and the GUIDE-Korea IAM. The future emission of China and Japan were also estimated using the GAINS IAM of IIASA. The future scenarios in Korea were developed by applying national climate and air quality policies, such as NDC and Fine Particle Improvement Plan(FPIP), in GUIDE-Korea. The future scenarios in China and Japan were developed by applying IEA and ECLIPSE scenarios in GAINS. The emission reductions were estimated using the proposed reduction policies in the FPIP. The expected amount of emissions reduction by the policy measure was estimated using the BAU emissions, policy penetration rate, and the control efficiency. style="text-align: left; margin: 1em auto 0em auto"><p class="ep_field_para">East Asia is one of the most important regions to control Green House Gases (GHGs) and air pollutants emissions to mitigate climate change(CC) and regional air quality(AQ). The Integrate Assessment Models(IAMs) have been widely used to understand future emission pathways and impacts to climate change and air quality. An integrated analysis of air pollution and climate change is important to represent the co-effects of both strategies.<br />The GHGs and Air pollutants Unified Information DEsign System for Environment (GUIDE)is in Konkuk University an IAM to deal with CC and AQ together. The GUIDE-Korea can integrate climate change and air quality strategies together and performs subsequent analysis, including energy projection, policy implementation, emission estimation, air quality simulation, impact estimation, and cost calculation.</p><p class="ep_field_para">In this study, the future scenario emissions in Korea were estimated using CREATE emissions inventory and the GUIDE-Korea IAM. The future emission of China and Japan were also estimated using the GAINS IAM of IIASA.</p><p class="ep_field_para">The future scenarios in Korea were developed by applying national climate and air quality policies, such as NDC and Fine Particle Improvement Plan(FPIP), in GUIDE-Korea. The future scenarios in China and Japan were developed by applying IEA and ECLIPSE scenarios in GAINS. The emission reductions were estimated using the proposed reduction policies in the FPIP. The expected amount of emissions reduction by the policy measure was estimated using the BAU emissions, policy penetration rate, and the control efficiency.
