(OPHD)</strong> is responsible for enforcing the UC Anti-Discrimination Policy (AD Policy) and the UC Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment Policy (SVSH Policy) and ensuring a work, learning, and patient care environment that is free from sexual violence and sexual harassment and all forms of discrimination and harassment based on the following protected categories:</p> <div class="wysiwyg_threecols Status</li> </ul> </div> </div> <hr style="margin-bottom: 20px;" /> <p>UC San Francisco prohibits harassment and discrimination against any person based on their protected class status whether they are a patient, a student or prospective student, or an employee or someone seeking employment with the University.</p> <p><strong>To ensure that UCSF is a safe, inclusive community to receive care, study, and work, OPHD:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Ensures</strong> compliance with the <a href="https://policy.ucop.edu/doc/4000385/SVSH" target="_blank">Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy</a> and the <a href="https://policy.ucop.edu/doc/1001004/Anti-Discrimination" target="_blank">Anti-Discrimination Policy</a>.</li> <li><strong>Responds</strong> to concerns from students, patients, faculty, and staff regarding conduct that may constitute violations of these policies.</li> <li><strong>Assists</strong> campus departments to implement best practices in fostering a discrimination-free climate.</li> <li><strong>Collaborates</strong> with campus partners to provide tailored training to prevent discrimination, promote equity and support UCSF departments in addressing the potential impact on academic and employment environments when an incident has taken place.</li> <li><strong>Receives</strong> complaints filed from outside agencies including the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and federal Offices of Civil Rights (OCR).</li> <li><strong>Compiles</strong> data for the annual affirmative action plan and assists departments in applying diversity, nondiscrimination, and affirmative action guidelines during faculty and staff recruitment processes.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h2>Privacy</h2> <p>OPHD is the office of record for all matters that fall under the Anti-Discrimination Policy and the SVSH Policy. OPHD is not a confidential office. However, OPHD implements strict measures to protect the privacy of anyone involved in the complaint process.
