My sister Joanne was married in 1955 and stayed in Uniontown where she lives today. My brothers Harry, Ed and David all moved with the family to Rockville.

The various places I lived started in 1954 with Uniontown, Pennsylvania. During the 1960 US Census, I lived in Rockville, Maryland along with my parents, Leo and Kathleen as well as my siblings; Ed and David. During the 1970 US Census, I lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland with my parents, Leo and Kathleen.

In 1964 our family moved from Rockville to Gaithersburg, Maryland. Harry had already moved to California in 1963. Ed and David both married in 1964 and lived nearby in Gaithersburg. We lived on a small farmette (just a little over five acres) and enjoyed living in the country instead of the suburbs.

I attended various schools in Montgomery County, Maryland starting with Twinbrook Elementary School, Rockville; Laytonsville Elementary School, Laytonsville; Gaithersburg Junior High School, Gaithersburg; and graduated from Gaithersburg High School, Gaithersburg in 1972.

My first job was in 1971 as a cashier at Peoples Drug Store in Gaithersburg, Maryland. My parents insisted I get a job because a month after getting my driver license I got a speeding ticket. They refused to pay for it and that was the beginning of my days of driving over the limit!

My Mom and Dad left from my graduation ceremony and moved to Orlando, Florida. After a family trip in 1970 to Orlando my parents fell in love with Orlando and decided to move. After much drama on my teenage part, they agreed to wait until I graduated from high school. Thank you very much for that, Mom and Dad! The preliminary work for the move was all done long before I graduated June 12, 1972. My graduation present was the use of my Mother's car and staying the rest of the summer in Gaithersburg with friends.

I arrived in Orlando in early August 1972 and decided that it was time to marry Gregory Wayne 'Greg' Spalding. We married August 15, 1972 in the hospital chapel (his Father was in the hospital) in Olney, Maryland. Greg was in the Navy so after a short honeymoon trip (six weeks) to Alameda, California, he was on the USS Enterprise and was stationed in the Pacific so I returned to live with my parents in Orlando in October 1972.

Greg was stationed in Oakland, California, so I moved out there in June 1973. My Mother and I drove across country with a U-Haul and all my worldly possessions and I lived in Oakland for less than a year. My brother, Harry lived in San Jose, California with his family which was not far and we visited at least twice a month. Greg was transferred again to Washington, DC in early 1974 and we moved back to Gaithersburg.

Later in 1975 we moved to Niantic, Connecticut for a job that he got in Middletown, Connecticut. In 1976 we moved to Orlando, Florida along with my brother, David and his wife Dorcas Thompson. We shared a very large U-Haul truck and moved both our households to Florida. During the 1980 US Census I lived in Orlando, Florida[3] with Greg until my marriage ended in divorce March 29, 1984.

My second job was in 1972 as a negative cutter at Eckerds Photo Lab in Winter Park, Florida. In 1973 I was in Tupperware sales in Oakland, California and in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I changed jobs in 1974 to be a film splicer at Kodak Photo Labs in Rockville, Maryland. When I thought we were moving, I quit my job at Kodak and ended up working again as a cashier at Peoples Drug Store in 1975 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. While we lived in Connecticut, I worked at Mystic Color Labs in Mystic, Connecticut and the very best thing about working there was the being in picturesque Mystic! After the move to Orlando, I got a job in 1976 as a negative splicer at Eckerds Photo Lab in Orlando, Florida. In 1980 I went to work as a color checker at Photolando in Orlando, Florida. I also took a part time job as a 1980 census enumerator in Orlando, Florida which gave me some good information for understanding Census records! In 1983 I started working as a letter sorting machine operator at US Postal Service in Orlando, Florida. After deciding I needed to get out of the Postal Service and the graveyard shift, in 1987 I started working as guest relations at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida.

In 1989 I took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to become the transportation manager at Meals on Wheels & M.O.R.E. in Orlando, Florida. Later I switched my position to program administrative manager at Seniors First (same place, different name). In 1992, I started doing some part time work as a bookkeeper for Carl Crampton Carpentry in Orlando, Florida and also started working as an administrative assistant at Better Living for Seniors in Lake Mary, Florida. In 1995, I started as a temporary in the position as administrative assistant at Time Warner Cable in Orlando, Florida and became a permanent employee within the year. In 1997 I changed jobs within the Cable company to property damage coordinator at Brighthouse Networks (same place, different name).

I lived on my own until I met my real husband, Robert Sheffield Lesure February 6, 1988. It was love at first sight! We were married February 11, 1989 in Winter Park, Florida[4] and we lived happily in Orlando.[5] After my Father died February 7, 1992, I really took it very hard and I became very difficult to live with. Robert and I separated in 1995 and we continued to see each other.

We divorced January 14, 1998[6] even though as I was driving to the Courthouse I was thinking, "Why am I doing this? Well, I already paid the money for it and he said either do it or do not do it." Robert maintains to this day that all those events took place as they did so we could be in the place we are now. Absolutely have to love a man who says such a wonderful thing about his wife who was wrong! But he is absolutely right~everything that happens in our lives happens the way it does so we can appreciate what is coming next!

Robert and I remarried[7] May 29, 1999 in Montevallo, Alabama at an immediate family reunion at my brother, Ed's home. My oldest brother, Harry performed the ceremony. It was wonderful to have all my siblings and their spouses along with some nieces and nephews to witness our reunion marriage.

During the 1990 US Census, I lived in Orlando, Florida with Robert and we later moved to the Ocala National Forest[8] as reflected in the 2000 US Census and the 2010 US Census where we lived in Altoona, Lake, Florida.

Commuting back and forth to Orlando became problematic and in 2003 decided to work as a legal assistant at an attorney's office in Umatilla, Florida. And in 2006 I took another position as administrative assistant at the City of Eustis in Eustis, Florida. Each of these places enriched my life in spite of the fact that it was work! Stories about each place and experience may appear at a later date.

In 1999 we bought a wonderful home in the Ocala National Forest in Altoona, Florida and have lived there happily since that time. Our 'children' are our cats and we have had a wonderful variety of four-legged furry children. Currently, both of us are retired and enjoy our home in the Forest.

 Sources

↑ "United States, GenealogyBank Obituaries, 1980-2014," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKRF-VP16 : 25 October 2016), Cindy Lesure in entry for Mr Leo H Williams, Florida, United States, 09 Feb 1992; She gathered information from family members who attended the Reunions over the years sharing information about family lore and updated information about each branch. Around 1980 she put information together by typewriter and created a very large document that included all of the information about the Nieman and Frankhouser clans. Both branches intertwined in various ways and trace back to the common ancestors of John Blosser who emigrated from Switzerland and was of German origin. In the following years, she provided updates after the reunions were over and she could add the new information gathered at the reunions to the document. I usually learn best by reading and the instructions have been clear and I have been muddling through until now. I have made some errors and have found them posted in my suggestions page. I try to work on them as time and patience allows and thought I was doing pretty good, slow but sure. Today I checked suggestions to find 40+ errors of the same type and when checking the profile pages in question I can find no error. Soooo, if you have the time and can access my suggestion page I could use some HELP.
