My hour is not yet come.”</span> </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>His mother says to the servants, “Whatever He may say to you, do <i>it</i>.” </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Now there were six stone water jars standing there, according to the purification of the Jews, having space for two or three metretae.<span class="fn"><a href="#fna" title="Or ‘twenty to thirty gallons’, or ‘75 to 115 liters’">a</a></span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Jesus says to them, <span class="red">“Fill the jars with water.”</span></p><p class="reg"> And they filled them up to <i>the</i> brim. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And He says to them, <span class="red">“Now draw <i>some</i> out and carry <i>it</i> to the master of the feast.”</span></p><p class="reg"> And they carried <i>it</i>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And when the master of the feast had tasted the water having become wine, and did not know from where it is—but the servants having drawn the water knew—the master of the feast calls the bridegroom, <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and he says to him, “Every man first sets out the good wine, and when they might have drunk freely, the inferior; you have kept the good wine until now.” </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>This <i>was the</i> beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and He revealed His glory. And His disciples believed in Him. </p><p class="hdg">Jesus Cleanses the Temple<br /><span class="cross">(Matthew 21:12-17; Mark 11:15-19; Luke 19:45-48)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>After this, He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples, and they stayed there not many days. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And He found in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And having made a whip of cords, He drove out all from the temple, both sheep and oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overthrew the tables. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And to those selling doves He said, <span class="red">“Take these things from here!
