Her research focuses on developing new products from agricultural and industrial waste. Her professional experience in the industry includes ten years as a Food Engineer where she navigated between Quality Assurance and Product Development (California, USA). Before joining UFG, she was a PhD student at the Food Science Faculty, Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), where she received the Best Thesis Award for her extensive study on different types of extraction of oil and bioactives from green coffee beans waste.
