Getaway is a health and wellness hospitality company that aims to "make space in the world for free time." As part of the new partnership, Walmart will become Getaway's first official retail partner, introducing innovative offerings such as The General Store by Walmart at select Getaway Outposts. In select Getaway Outposts, The General Store by Walmart will offer seasonal products, curated by Getaway's outdoor experts and sourced from Walmart. The beginning of the partnership will see Walmart purchasing 4,500 of Canoo's delivery vehicles. However, going forward, Walmart stipulated that it maintains the option to purchase 5,500 more in the future, bringing the total up to 10,000 delivery vans.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nCanoo will begin producing its electric delivery vans on a mass scale in late 2022, and the vehicles are expected to hit the streets for business purposes in mid-2023. At this point, the vehicles will undergo a large amount of real-world testing through partnerships with various retail stores, such as Walmart.
