And there was a division among them.">John 9:16</a>, where a like division was noted.<p><span class= "bld">Among the Jews.</span>--The Pharisees are mentioned before, and they are the persons who have been present all through this discourse. With bitter madness the Pharisees charged the Lord with being under the power of a "daemon," and with consequent raving, <span class="accented">i</span>.<span class="accented">e</span>. with irrationality and even evil motive. Some were listening with eager, bewildering excitement. They knew not what to think.
