De la figure historique de l'écrivain engagé à celle du témoin, l’engagement ne disparaît pas mais se diversifie : autobiographie militante, féminisme transnational, écriture numérique, responsabilité écologique ou littérature de résistance. À travers l’analyse d’auteurs issus de diverses traditions (française, germanophone, lusophone, anglophone, italienne et ukrainienne), cette rencontre interroge les nouvelles poétiques de la résistance et les mutations des pratiques littéraires au XXI<sup>e</sup> siècle.</p> </div> </div> <div id="annonce"> <p class="intitule">Annonce</p> <div id="annonce-1238122-fr" class="tabContent" lang="fr" xml:lang="fr"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">La question du rôle de l’écrivain dans la <em>polis</em>, dont on retrouve le tournant décisif dans la modernité avec le paradigme romantique du poète visionnaire et de l’écrivain exilé, connaît aujourd’hui une actualité critique renouvelée. De Victor Hugo qui, depuis son exil à Jersey, compose <em>Les Châtiments</em> (1853) dans une articulation complexe entre combat politique et exigence poétique, à la radicalité du postulat sartrien dans <em>Situations II</em> (1948) : « <em>L’écrivain est en situation dans son époque : chaque parole a des retentissements. Chaque silence aussi. Je tiens Flaubert et Goncourt pour responsables de la répression qui suivit la Commune</em> », une généalogie de l’engagement se dessine, qui demande aujourd’hui à être réexaminée de manière critique. En effet, le diagnostic tranchant de Jean-Marie Le Clézio dans son discours du Nobel - « <em>Alors, pourquoi écrire ? L’écrivain, depuis quelque temps déjà, n’a plus l’outrecuidance de croire qu’il va changer le monde [...] Plus simplement, il se veut témoin</em> » (Le Clézio, 2008) marque un point d’inflexion fondamentale dans la configuration même du rôle social et politique de l’écrivain.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Cependant, ce passage de la figure de l'écrivain-militant à celle de l’écrivain-témoin n'est pas seulement un abandon de l'écriture engagée. Il s'agit plutôt d'une multiplication de ses modalités<span class="mce-nbsp-wrap" contenteditable="false"> </span>: ainsi, Annie Ernaux interroge les structures sociales à travers une écriture auto-socio-biographique militante, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (Nigeria/États-Unis) réinvente le féminisme transnational, tandis que Paul B. Preciado (Espagne) problématise les politiques identitaires contemporaines. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Dans l’espace numérique, Teju Cole (USA/Nigeria) et Rupi Kaur (Canada) transforment les réseaux sociaux en laboratoires d’écriture militante, élargissant considérablement la portée de l’engagement. Dans la poésie française contemporaine, Michel Deguy, Marielle Macé et Jean-Christophe Pinson s'interrogent sur la responsabilité écologique de l'écrivain. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Dans la littérature germanophone, Elfriede Jelinek, Juli Zeh et Eva Menasse, ou encore les écrivains de la génération de 1968 tels que Peter Schneider et Uwe Timm, sont souvent associés à une <em>engagierte Literatur</em> en raison de la prééminence dans leurs &oelig;uvres de la responsabilité sociale de l’écrivain. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Au Portugal, Lídia Jorge et Valter Hugo Mãe articulent mémoire historique et intervention dans le présent, opérant ainsi un renouvellement des modes d’engagement social. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Roberto Saviano (Italie) et Édouard Louis (France) incarnent, quant à eux, une nouvelle génération d’intellectuels publics qui, par le biais de multiples formes discursives, combinent création littéraire et protestation politique, donnant ainsi une voix aux marges de la société. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Non moins importante, la voix de Dmytro Pavlytchko (1929-2023) en Ukraine est un exemple de poésie de résistance qui utilise les mots comme un cri contre la violence et l’oppression, dans le but de défendre l’identité culturelle et de la liberté en temps de guerre.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span lang="FR">Ce colloque international vise à examiner, dans une perspective comparative et transnationale, les métamorphoses de l’engagement littéraire face aux défis du XXI<sup>e</sup> siècle, en posant notamment les questions suivantes : quelles sont, de nos jours, les reconfigurations de l’engagement face aux mutations de la société contemporaine ? Comment les contextes nationaux et linguistiques s’articulent-ils avec les défis d’un monde globalisé ?
