Posto baixo a advocación da Santa Cruz, estaba habitado por monxes e monxas (dúplice). Á morte de dona Goda, a súa parente e herdeira, dona Trudilla, trae para este cenobio as monxas de San Salvador e Santa María de Sabucedo, no concello de Porqueira, que ata ese intre compartían con monxes. A mediados do século XI desaparecen as referencias á Santa Cruz, pasando a denominarse de San Salvador e xa ocupado polos Coengos Regulares de San Agostiño, dependentes do bispado de Ourense. Posta baixo a advocación de San Salvador, a igrexa actual é barroca (século XVIII). Do antigo edificio románico conserva unha portada cunha arquivolta simple e chambrana con decoración axedrezada. Tamén a gran torre, coñecida como dos Templarios, de planta cadrada e xanelas a cada lado con arcos de medio punto e decoración igualmente axedrezada sobre os mesmos. A torre remátase cun aleiro sostido por canzorriños e unha balaustrada barroca, con pináculos piramidais nos cantos. Posto baixo a advocación da Santa Cruz, estaba habitado por monxes e monxas (dúplice). Á morte de dona Goda, a súa parente e herdeira, dona Trudilla, trae para este cenobio as monxas de San Salvador e Santa María de Sabucedo, no concello de Porqueira, que ata ese intre compartían con monxes. A mediados do século XI desaparecen as referencias á Santa Cruz, pasando a denominarse de San Salvador e xa ocupado polos Coengos Regulares de San Agostiño, dependentes do bispado de Ourense. Posta baixo a advocación de San Salvador, a igrexa actual é barroca (século XVIII). Do antigo edificio románico conserva unha portada cunha arquivolta simple e chambrana con decoración axedrezada. Tamén a gran torre, coñecida como dos Templarios, de planta cadrada e xanelas a cada lado con arcos de medio punto e decoración igualmente axedrezada sobre os mesmos. A torre remátase cun aleiro sostido por canzorriños e unha balaustrada barroca, con pináculos piramidais nos cantos.
