How do I apply for a job at ITV?</h3> <p>Throughout the site there are opportunities to see vacancies within various business areas and all vacancies are on the Job Search & Apply page. If I can’t apply for the role via the system what can I do?</h3> <p>If you need help or assistance when applying for a role at ITV, please get in touch with us at <a href="mailto:talkingcareers@itv.com">talkingcareers@itv.com</a> and we’ll get back to you within 2 working days.</p> <p>Note: You have the ability to retrieve forgotten login information.  You will require your username to retrieve forgotten password information so request this first if you are unsure of this too.</p> <p>You can select ‘forgot your username?’and “forgot your password”on the login screen. Please follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to retrieve your information:</p> <h3>3. Can I register as a speculative applicant?</h3> <p>Yes, you can. If you go to our Job Search & Apply page, you can register your profile, upload your CV and tell us what kind of jobs you’re interested in. </p> <p>We’ll be searching our talent bank whenever a vacancy comes up as well. So if we feel your experience matches what we’re looking for, we’ll give you a call.</p> <h3>4. What can I do to get my CV or application noticed?</h3> <p>The general rule of thumb is to keep it simple, concise, easy to read and focused on selling your skills. But the challenge is to do all that while making it more appealing and attractive than the others. So, avoid wacky layouts or fancy gimmicks – the most important thing is that it looks professional and clear and that we'll be able to view and read it on a variety of software platforms such as google docs, word, pdfs.  And, above all, it should be completely accurate with no grammatical errors, spelling mistakes or typos.  You could ask someone to have a read through before submitting if helpful.</p> <p>If you have a personal profile section you may want to add why ITV is a company of interest to you and why this role fits what you are looking for in your next move.</p> <p>Presentation and order is important so that we can absorb key points quickly. And even for the most senior individual, a CV should be no longer than two pages. In fact, the fewer pages the better, so you should think carefully about the words and phrases you use.</p> <h3>5. Can I upload a showreel?</h3> <p>Unfortunately, our system does not allow candidates to upload showreels. But if you can provide a web link to your reel or site, we’d love to see it. Alternatively, when the Resourcing team reviews your CV or application, they may ask you to send it through directly to them.</p> <h3>6. Can I apply for more than one position?</h3> <p>Yes, but please make sure that you only apply for positions that you have the experience and skills to do – and do well!</p> <h3>7. Can I complete the application form in stages?</h3> <p>Yes, you can save and exit at any time. However, as our opportunities only open for applications for a short time, we would recommend doing it in one go and not leaving it until the closing date.</p> <h3>8. I’m disabled – do I have to tell you about this?</h3> <p>There is no obligation at all for you to tell us. However, we want all of our colleagues and candidates to be the best that they can be, so sharing with us that you have a disability or health condition could enable us to ensure you have the right tools and working environment to perform your best. I’ve noticed that you're a Disability Confident Leader. What does this mean?</h3> <p>Companies who are Disability Confident (like us!) have:</p> <ul> <li>Made a commitment to good practice in employing people with disabilities</li> <li>Already done lots of work to ensure that colleagues and applicants with disabilities are welcomed and valued</li> <li>Made a commitment to ensuring accessibility is continuously improved</li> <li>Made a commitment to guarantee an interview to any disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a role.</li> </ul> <p>As part of our commitment we will guarantee an interview to any disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for a role - that’s also why it is important for you to tell us if you have a disability.  Here, we define a disability as a long-lasting physical or mental health condition that has a significant adverse impact on day-to-day activities. This includes but is not limited to cancer, chronic pain, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, bipolar disorder, stress, anxiety, depression and cognitive conditions such as dyslexia,dyspraxia, and neurodiverse conditions. We ask every candidate to check if we need to make reasonable adjustments for the selection process and won’t have any negative impact on your selection for the role. We want you to have everything you need to perform your best. If you are the successful candidate we can help you with putting reasonable adjustments to your role in place before you start.  We can consider a broad range of workplace adjustments, including: </p> <ul> <li>Physical adjustments - such as IT equipment, software, furniture etc.</li> <li>Non-physical adjustments - these are all about how you perform in your role, for example your working hours, working pattern and training. And how you perform in your assessments, such as group exercises or additional time for written work.</li> </ul> <p>We also work with external 3rd party specialists who provide valuable advice and support when it comes to ensuring a consistent and fair approach.</p> <h3>10. Can I request a reasonable adjustment?</h3> <p>Of course. We want to enable all our colleagues and candidates to be the best that they can be. That’s why we’re fully committed to supporting, and working with you to ensure all reasonable adjustments are made, managed and monitored consistently during the process.</p> <p>Reasonable adjustments can include (but not limited too) extra time for a task and exercise, having the questions to hand at the same time they are asked, rest breaks, location of the assessment, alternative format for materials, interpreter, bringing a personal assistant with you, specific equipment and technology etc.</p> <p>We also work with external 3rd party specialists who provide valuable advice and support when it comes to ensuring a consistent and fair approach.</p> <p>If you want to have a chat with us about anything you may need during the selection process, you can email us directly at talkingcareers@itv.com with your contact details and we’ll get back in touch. I've applied for a job at ITV - will I receive a personal response?</h3> <p>Of course - we’ll let you know when we receive your application.</p> <p>If you make it through to the interview stage, we’ll contact you personally. And if you’re not quite right for a position, we’ll also send you an email to let you know you didn't make it through to our interview stage this time.</p> <h3>12. How long will the application process take?</h3> <p>It varies depending on the volume of applications and the role. Please be patient with us - we'll definitely be in touch with you to let you know whether you have been successful or not.</p> <h3>13. What do I need to bring with me to the selection process?</h3> <p>Please make sure you read your confirmation email carefully as everything will be covered in the email.   The selection process may be held by google hangout or face to face.  If it's via google hangout we will send you the link for the Google hangout and you dont require a Gmail email address. </p> <h3>14. The thought of attending an interview is making me very nervous. Any advice?</h3> <p>We understand that coming for an interview can be a little stressful, so here are a few things you can do to settle your nerves:</p> <p>Make sure you write short examples to highlight your skills and strengths and match them against the skills, knowledge and experience for the role you’re applying for.</p> <p>If you are taking part in an interview via video call, remember to test your connection beforehand. We understand  that there are going to be times when the door goes unexpectedly or the wifi goes down.   </p> <p>Don’t panic, try to log back in and if you are having a challenge please call /text your Resourcing contact who will help.   If you have an unexpected interruption then just let your interviewer know to help guide you on what to do and how to get back on track.</p> <p>If you are interviewing face to face and are travelling to another location, plan your route to our office well in advance – you’ll find our address on your confirmation email.</p> <p>Finally, give us a call! We’re always happy to answer any questions you have and help you prepare so you can do your best on the day.</p> <h3>15. What are the types of questions I will be asked during the interview?</h3> <p>You will be asked questions to measure your skills, knowledge using a variety of questions such as:</p> <ul> <li>Strength questions - “How do you build relationships at work?” </li> <li>Scenario questions - “You have come in at 9am to a range of tasks, all needing to be done by lunchtime. How would you prioritise this?”</li> </ul> <h3>16. Can I bring my sign language interpreter to any stage of the selection process?</h3> <p>Of course – just let us know in advance. We can even help you find one if necessary.</p> <h3>17. If I’m offered a role, can I bring my personal assistant/carer to work?</h3> <p>You are welcome to bring your personal assistant/carer. Just let us know in advance.</p> <h3>18. If I’m successful, and i need reasonable adjustments, will there be any practical or financial support available to help me do my job if I need specific equipment or support?</h3> <p>Yes - we want to make sure you can perform the best in your role as soon as you start. Should you be successful we will discuss your needs. We work with a third party supplier to see what best support is available.</p> <p>In some instances, you may be able to apply to Access to Work is a government scheme that’s available to colleagues and candidates who have a disability or long-term physical or mental health condition. For more information on the practical and financial support that’s available, please visit <a href="https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work">https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work</a></p> <p>The main benefit is that you can gain assistance with support or adaptations beyond adjustments. All requests will be dealt with in confidence.</p> <h3>19. I was not successful in the application process. Will I get feedback?</h3> <p>It depends where you were in the process. We’re able to give feedback after interviews, but not after the CV screening stage – the high number of applications we receive means that, unfortunately, we just can’t get back to everyone.</p> <h3>20. I am having issues saving my job submission and application, what should I do?</h3> <p>Logging into more than one instance of the application in the same browser simultaneously, confuses the system. You will need to log out of the application, this will terminate all open sessions. However this will mean that you will be directed back to the login screen and unfortunately unsaved work will be lost.</p> <p>Sometimes we find these types of issues are related to running an older version of web browsers. For optimum performance on our site, we recommend that you are using one of the browsers below: </p> <p><img alt="" src="https://careers.itv.com/uploads/cta-images/Browsers_-_ITV.png" style="width: 600px; height: 189px; margin: 50px;" /></p> <p>You can check the version of your web browser by clicking on “Help” from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen and then clicking on the “About” option. The version is displayed in the popup window.</p> <p>If you're running an older unsupported web browser version, you can download later supported versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox from the links below:</p> <p><a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/internet-explorer.aspx">Get Internet Explorer</a></p> <p>OR</p> <p><a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/">Get Mozilla Firefox</a></p> <p><br /> If you're still experiencing issues, sending us a "screenshot" would make it easier to look into it for you. You can take a screenshot of any error messages on a PC by holding down the Ctrl + Print Screen keys simultaneously on your keyboard and then pasting this into the body of an email. If you're on a Mac, you can hit Shift-Cmd-4 to capture the message into an image file that you can attach to an email. Then, just email this to us at talkingcareers@itv.com.</p> <blockquote> <h2>Agencies</h2> </blockquote> <p>Here at ITV we have our own direct sourcing team. So, for permanent and fixed-term vacancies we use a variety of sources to find suitable candidates ourselves and rarely have the need to work with an agency.</p> <p>On the very rare occasion that we do need to work with an agency, we partner with people who have a strong track record of success with ITV. At the moment we’re not looking to make any changes to that list.</p> <p>Please note, we’re unable to accept speculative CVs and if you do send in CVs we won’t acknowledge your ownership of the candidate.
