It is noted that the country&rsquo;s<br \/>\r\neconomic policy plays an important role in obtaining and maintaining<br \/>\r\nthe competitive advantage - authority should take measures to ensure<br \/>\r\nhigh level of education; scientific and research activities should be<br \/>\r\nfunded by the state; foreign direct investments should be attracted<br \/>\r\nmainly in science-intensive industries; adaptation with the latest<br \/>\r\nscientific achievements of the modern world and deepening of<br \/>\r\nscientific and technical cooperation. Stable business environment and<br \/>\r\nexport oriented strategy is the basis for the country&rsquo;s economic<br \/>\r\ngrowth.<br \/>\r\nAs the outcome of the research, the paper suggests the strategy for<br \/>\r\nimproving competitiveness in Georgia; recommendations are<br \/>\r\nprovided based on relevant conclusions.<\/p>\r\n","references":"[1] G.Erkomaishvili, ,,Economic Development Priorities of Georgia\u201d,\r\nTbilisi, 2013, p.18\r\n[2] R.
