BioProtection portal as an Associate</h2><p>We are delighted to announce that the Biological Products Industry Alliance (<a href=https://www.bpia.org/ target=_blank rel="noreferrer noopener">BPIA</a>) has joined the CABI BioProtection Portal as an Associate. This creates new opportunities for collaborations to promote bioprotection across North America. Moreover, BPIA is a non-profit organization with a mission of advancing sustainability through biological solutions. BPIA comprises over 160 companies, including biological product manufacturers, marketers, distributors, and service providers.<br><br>BPIA serves as the voice for the biological product industry, communicating with regulators, legislators, and other stakeholders. Its goal is to help biological product manufacturers make their products accessible to growers and consumers. BPIA Executive Director Keith Jones said, “BPIA is very pleased to support the CABI BioProtection Portal here in North America as another mechanism to foster the use of biological products.” We are grateful to be collaborating with such a strong voice in the industry!  </p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-a-portal-to-support-non-chemical-pest-management">A portal to support non-chemical pest management</h2><p>The <a href="https://bioprotectionportal.com/news/kaeltia-consulting-and-cabi-bioprotection-portal/?theme=15">CABI BioProtection Portal</a> is an online, open-access tool that provides growers and advisors with a comprehensive directory of all registered biological control products in a given country. In February 2023, the portal became live in the United States, the world’s largest market for biological pest control products. Users in the US can therefore now also benefit from this tool to quickly find bioprotection products that meet their needs. A simple search by target crop and/or pest will provide a list of all registered biological products that are suitable for use. There are also US state filters to help refine the search further. </p><p><br>We are optimistic that our collaboration with BPIA will increase awareness of the portal in the United States and Canada. Its existing member companies and network of growers and advisors will achieve this. Making the portal well known as an accessible, comprehensive, and up-to-date directory is essential.
