Ανευρίσκεται επίσης σε υδροθερμικές φλέβες υψηλών θερμοκρασιών, ενώ, λιγότερο συχνά, απαντάται σε γρανιτικούς πηγματίτες και σε υδροθερμικές φλέβες μέσων θερμοκρασιών. Ανευρίσκεται, επίσης, παρενεσπαρμένος σε αλλούβιες αποθέσεις. Ορυκτά με τα οποία σχετίζεται είναι ο χαλαζίας, οι γρανάτες, ο βεζουβιανίτης, το επίδοτο, το τοπάζιο, ο απατίτης, ο μολυβδαινίτης, ο κασσιτερίτης, ο βολφραμίτης και ο φθορίτης.
