after that they are not two, but one flesh."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"The things that God unites let not a son of man separate."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And his disciples asked him again in the house about this.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to them, "Every man who divorces his wife and takes another commits adultery."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And if a woman divorces her husband and another man shall have her, she commits adultery."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but his disciples were rebuking those who brought them.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua saw and was displeased and he said to them, "Let the children come to me and do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Amen, I say to you, no one who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will enter it."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he took them up in his arms and he laid his hand upon them and he blessed them.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And as he traveled on the road, one came running and fell on his knees and asked him and said, "Good teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua said to him, "Why do you call me good? There is no one good but The One God."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"You know the commandments: 'You shall not commit adultery', 'You shall not steal', 'You shall not murder', 'You shall not give false testimony', 'You shall not cheat', 'Honor your father and your mother.' "</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He answered and said to him, "Teacher, I have kept all these things from my childhood."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua gazed at him and he loved him and he said to him: "You have one thing missing: go sell everything that you have and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and take the cross and come after me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he was saddened at this saying and he departed grieving, because he had great wealth.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua gazed at his disciples and he said to them, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the Kingdom of God!"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But the disciples were astonished at his words. And Yeshua answered again and he said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who rely upon their wealth to enter the Kingdom of God!"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"It is easier for a camel to enter into the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But they were all the more astonished, and they were saying among themselves, "Who can be saved?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua gazed upon them and he said to them, "With the sons of men, this is impossible, but not with God; everything is possible with God."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Kaypha began to say, "Behold, we have left everything and have cleaved to you."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua answered and said, "Amen, I say to you, there is no man who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or town for my sake and for my Gospel's sake,</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Who will not receive each one a hundred fold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and towns with persecutions, and in the world that is coming, eternal life.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But many are first who shall be last, and the last first."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And as they were going up the road to Jerusalem, Yeshua was in front of them, and they were amazed and they were going after him as they were awe-struck, and he took his twelve, and he began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him:</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem and The Son of Man will be delivered to the Chief Priests and to the Scribes, and they will condemn him to death and they will deliver him to the Gentiles,</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they will mock him, and will scourge him, and will spit in his face, and will kill him; and the third day he will arise."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yaqob and Yohannan, the sons of Zebedee, approached him, and said to him: "Teacher, we desire that you would do for us all that we ask."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them: "What do you want me to do for you?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They said to him: "Grant to us, that one may sit at your right hand, and the other on your left, in your glory."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he said to them: "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup of which I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism in which I am baptized?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They were saying to him: "We are able." Yeshua said to them: "The cup that I drink, you will drink, and in the baptism in which I am baptized, you will be baptized."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But for you to sit at my right and at my left is not mine to give, except to those for whom it is prepared."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span><span class="spcl">When the ten heard, they began complaining greatly about Yaqob and Yohannan.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-42.htm"><b>42</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua called them and he said to them, "You are aware that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles are their lords and their great ones have authority over them."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-43.htm"><b>43</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But it will not be so among you, but whoever wants to be great among you will be a servant to you."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-44.htm"><b>44</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And he among you who wants to be the first will be a servant to all."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-45.htm"><b>45</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"For even The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and give his life a ransom in the place of the many."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-46.htm"><b>46</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they came to Jericho, and when Yeshua went out from Jericho, he and his disciples and the many crowds, Timai, son of Timai, a blind man, was sitting on the side of the road begging,</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-47.htm"><b>47</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he heard that it was Yeshua the Nazarene, and he began to cry out and to say, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-48.htm"><b>48</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And many were rebuking him that he would be quiet, but he was crying out all the more and he said, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-49.htm"><b>49</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua stood and commanded that they would call him and they called the blind man and they were saying to him, "Take heart, arise, he is calling for you."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-50.htm"><b>50</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But that blind man threw off his garment and arose, coming to Yeshua.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/10-51.htm"><b>51</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?"
