Welke zijn goed voor onze gezondheid en welke kunnen we beter vermijden?</p> <p>De consumentenbond heeft nu een minigids samengesteld waarin je het één en ander kunt lezen over E-nummers in voeding. Er wordt uitgelegd wat E-nummers zijn, de feiten en fabels van E-nummers, en er worden bepaalde E-nummers onder de loep genomen die vaak ter discussie staan, zoals o.a. kleurstoffen en natriumglutamaat. Je kunt ook lezen welke verschillende soorten zoetstoffen er zijn, want dat zijn er inmiddels nogal wat. De twee meest omstreden zoetstoffen, cyclamaat en aspartaam worden besproken en ook wordt aandacht geschonken aan natuurlijke zoetstoffen zoals stevia.<span id="more-1702"></span></p> <p>Wat ook leuk om te lezen is dat niet alle producten waarvan je juist verwacht dat het verkeerd is, verkeerd hoeven te zijn. Smarties bijvoorbeeld, je zou denken dat ze vol zitten met E-nummers maar dat is absoluut niet waar. De kleuren die worden gebruikt bij het maken van smarties komen van allerlei soorten groentes en fruit, iets waar concurrent M&M’s ook wel eens naar mag kijken, want die gebruikt nog wel E-nummers.</p> <p>In een eerder <a title="e-nummers" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20130903064521/http://ecowijs.nl/489/e-nummers-je-eten-zit-er-vol-mee/">artikel over E-nummers</a> schreven we al over de effecten die deze additieven kunnen hebben op ons lichaam. Het is dan ook zeker een aanrader om de minigids te lezen om hier meer over te weten te komen. Het is een mooi vorm gegeven boekje met leuke foto’s en tekeningen wat het makkelijk leesbaar maakt, en nog mooier, je kunt de minigids nu <strong>gratis</strong> opvragen bij de <a title="consumentenbond" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20130903064521/http://www.consumentenbond.nl/test/voeding-gezondheid/voeding/e-nummers/nieuws/2012/minigids-e-nummers/">consumentenbond</a> tot en met 19 oktober. Snel doen dus!</p> <p> </p> <h3>Tip</h3> <p>Een uitgebreid overzicht van E-nummers kun je vinden in het boekje ‘Wat zit er in uw eten’ van Corinne Gouget.
