implementations of improved accuracy current-mode multiplier/divider circuits. Besides the advantage of their simplicity, these original multiplier/divider structures present the advantage of very small linearity errors that can be obtained as a result of the proposed design techniques (0.75% and 0.9%, respectively, for an extended range of the input currents). The original multiplier/divider circuits permit a facile reconfiguration, the presented structures representing the functional basis for implementing complex function synthesizer circuits. The proposed computational structures are designed for implementing in 0.18-µm CMOS technology, with a low-voltage operation (a supply voltage of 1.2 V). The circuits’ power consumptions are 60 and 75 µW, respectively, while their frequency bandwidths are 79.6 and 59.7 MHz, respectively. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=analog%20signal%20processing" title="analog signal processing">analog signal processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=current-mode%20%20operation" title=" current-mode operation"> current-mode operation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=functional%20core" title=" functional core"> functional core</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multiplier" title=" multiplier"> multiplier</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reconfigurable%20circuits" title=" reconfigurable circuits"> reconfigurable circuits</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=industrial%20package%20systems" title=" industrial package systems"> industrial package systems</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/36406/optimization-and-design-of-current-mode-multiplier-circuits-with-applications-in-analog-signal-processing-for-gas-industrial-package-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/36406.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">374</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12824</span> Refactoring Object Oriented Software through Community Detection Using Evolutionary Computation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=R.%20Nagarani">R. Refactoring is regarded as an effective way to address this problem. Many refactoring approaches at the method and class level have been proposed. But the extent of research on software refactoring at the package level is less. This work presents a novel approach to refactor the package structures of object oriented software using genetic algorithm based community detection. It uses software networks to represent classes and their dependencies. It uses a constrained community detection algorithm to obtain the optimized community structures in software networks, which also correspond to the optimized package structures. It finally provides a list of classes as refactoring candidates by comparing the optimized package structures with the real package structures. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=community%20detection" title="community detection">community detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=complex%20network" title=" complex network"> complex network</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=genetic%20algorithm" title=" genetic algorithm"> genetic algorithm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=package" title=" package"> package</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=refactoring" title=" refactoring"> refactoring</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/31191/refactoring-object-oriented-software-through-community-detection-using-evolutionary-computation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/31191.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">418</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12823</span> Development of a Distance Training Package on Production of Handbook and Report Writing for Innovative Learning and Teaching for Vocational Teachers of Office of the Vocational Education Commission</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Petchpong%20Mayukhachot">Petchpong Mayukhachot</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purposes of this research were (1) to develop a distance training package on topic of Production of Handbook and Report writing for innovative learning and teaching for Vocational Teachers of Office of The Vocational Education Commission; (2) to study the effects of using the distance training package on topic Production of Handbook and Report writing for innovative learning and teaching for Vocational Teachers of Office of The Vocational Education Commission. and (3) to study the samples’ opinion on the distance training package on topic Production of Handbook and Report writing for innovative learning and teaching for Vocational Teachers of Office of The Vocational Education Commission Research and Development was used in this research. The need for systems engineers in industry is growing. However, there is a gap between the industrial need and the academic education. Normally the academic education is focused on the domain specific design, implementation and testing of technical systems. Necessary systems engineering expertise like knowledge about requirements analysis, product cost estimation, management or social skills are poorly taught. Thus, there is the need of new academic concepts for teaching systems engineering skills. This paper presents a project-orientated training concept to prepare students from different technical degree programs for systems engineering activities. The training concept has been initially implemented and applied in the industrial engineering master program of the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=educational%20systems%20engineering%20training" title="educational systems engineering training">educational systems engineering training</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=requirements%20analysis" title=" requirements analysis"> requirements analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=system%20modelling" title=" system modelling"> system modelling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SysML" title=" SysML"> SysML</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/14859/a-project-orientated-training-concept-to-prepare-students-for-systems-engineering-activities" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/14859.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">346</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12821</span> Development of Distance Training Packages on the Teaching Principles of Foundation English for Secondary School English Teachers in Bangkok and Its Vicinity</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sita%20Yiemkuntitavorn">Sita Yiemkuntitavorn</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purposes of this research were to: (1) Develop a distance training package on the teaching principles foundation english language in order to gain the teaching ability for secondary school english teachers in Bangkok and its vicinity (2) study the satisfaction of English teachers towards the quality of a distance training package. The most effective way of achieving this goal is to be able to penetrate strategic targets. Strategic targets are generally located deep inside of the countries and are defended by modern and efficient surface to air missiles (SAM) platforms which are operated as integrated with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. On the other hand, these high valued targets are buried deep underground and hardened with strong materials against attacks. Therefore, to penetrate these targets requires very detailed intelligence. This intelligence process should include a wide range that is from weaponry to threat assessment. Accordingly, the framework of the attack package will be determined. This mission package has to execute missions in a high threat environment. The way to minimize the risk which depends on loss of life is to use packages which are formed by UAVs. However, some limitations arising from the characteristics of UAVs restricts the performance of the mission package consisted of UAVs. So, the mission package should be formed with UAVs under the leadership of a fifth generation manned aircraft. Thus, we can minimize the limitations, easily penetrate in the deep inside of the enemy territory with minimum risk, make a decision according to ever-changing conditions and finally destroy the strategic targets. In this article, the strengthens and weakness aspects of UAVs are examined by SWOT analysis. And also, it revealed features of a mission package and presented as an example what kind of a mission package we should form in order to get marginal benefit and penetrate into strategic targets with the development of autonomous mission execution capability in the near future. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=UAV" title="UAV">UAV</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=autonomy" title=" autonomy"> autonomy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mission%20package" title=" mission package"> mission package</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=strategic%20attack" title=" strategic attack"> strategic attack</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mission%20planning" title=" mission planning"> mission planning</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/10355/evaluating-the-use-of-manned-and-unmanned-aerial-vehicles-in-strategic-offensive-tasks" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/10355.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">550</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12819</span> Computational Analysis on Thermal Performance of Chip Package in Electro-Optical Device</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Long%20Kim%20Vu">Long Kim Vu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The central processing unit in Electro-Optical devices is a Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chip package allowing flexible, reconfigurable computing but energy consumption. However, these systems are increasingly becoming targets for cyber-attacks, posing significant risks to operational continuity, safety, and environmental integrity. This paper explores comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for protecting oil and gas industrial control systems. It delves into the unique vulnerabilities of ICS in this sector, including outdated legacy systems, integration with IT networks, and the increased connectivity brought by the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). We propose a multi-layered defense approach that includes the implementation of robust network security protocols, regular system updates and patch management, advanced threat detection and response mechanisms, and stringent access control measures. We illustrate the effectiveness of these strategies in mitigating cyber risks and ensuring the resilient and secure operation of oil and gas industrial control systems. The findings underscore the necessity for a proactive and adaptive cybersecurity framework to safeguard critical infrastructure in the face of evolving cyber threats. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cybersecurity" title="cybersecurity">cybersecurity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=industrial%20control%20systems" title=" industrial control systems"> industrial control systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=oil%20and%20gas" title=" oil and gas"> oil and gas</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cyber-attacks" title=" cyber-attacks"> cyber-attacks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=network%20security" title=" network security"> network security</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IoT" title=" IoT"> IoT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=threat%20detection" title=" threat detection"> threat detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=system%20updates" title=" system updates"> system updates</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=patch%20management" title=" patch management"> patch management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=access%20control" title=" access control"> access control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cybersecurity%20awareness" title=" cybersecurity awareness"> cybersecurity awareness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=critical%20infrastructure" title=" critical infrastructure"> critical infrastructure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=resilience" title=" resilience"> resilience</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cyber%20threats" title=" cyber threats"> cyber threats</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=legacy%20systems" title=" legacy systems"> legacy systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IT%20integration" title=" IT integration"> IT integration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multi-layered%20defense" title=" multi-layered defense"> multi-layered defense</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=operational%20continuity" title=" operational continuity"> operational continuity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=safety" title=" safety"> safety</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=environmental%20integrity" title=" environmental integrity"> environmental integrity</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/187013/cybersecurity-strategies-for-protecting-oil-and-gas-industrial-control-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/187013.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">44</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12817</span> Model for Introducing Products to New Customers through Decision Tree Using Algorithm C4.5 (J-48)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Komol%20Phaisarn">Komol Phaisarn</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anuphan%20Suttimarn"> Anuphan Suttimarn</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vitchanan%20Keawtong"> Vitchanan Keawtong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kittisak%20Thongyoun"> Kittisak Thongyoun</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chaiyos%20Jamsawang"> Chaiyos Jamsawang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This article is intended to analyze insurance information which contains information on the customer decision when purchasing life insurance pay package. The data were analyzed in order to present new customers with Life Insurance Perfect Pay package to meet new customers’ needs as much as possible. The basic data of insurance pay package were collect to get data mining; thus, reducing the scattering of information. The data were then classified in order to get decision model or decision tree using Algorithm C4.5 (J-48). In the classification, WEKA tools are used to form the model and testing datasets are used to test the decision tree for the accurate decision. The validation of this model in classifying showed that the accurate prediction was 68.43% while 31.25% were errors. The same set of data were then tested with other models, i.e. Naive Bayes and Zero R. The results showed that J-48 method could predict more accurately. Kansei Engineering is a proactive product development methodology, which aims to improve the product development process and to translate consumers' feelings and image of a product into design elements. A survey was conducted with two major purposes: (1) to determine the target group of saffron use and to collect information about the adequacy of the product’s promotion and the importance of its packaging, (2) to collect the most important properties of a package according to consumers and to evaluate the existing saffron packages according to these properties (benchmarking). The interaction with the general public conducted by the distribution of online questionnaires and personal interviews as well as the statistical analysis of the results were performed using the SPSS software. The results of the survey were used in all stages of Kansei Engineering. Based on the results, a new saffron package was designed by using various designing and image processing software. This improved package is expected to achieve a better promotion and increased sales of the product. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=design" title="design">design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emotional%20design" title=" emotional design"> emotional design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kansei%20Engineering" title=" Kansei Engineering"> Kansei Engineering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=packaging" title=" packaging"> packaging</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=saffron" title=" saffron"> saffron</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/101052/design-of-a-new-package-for-saffron-using-kansei-engineering" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/101052.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">162</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12815</span> Suitable Operating Conditions of Hot Water Generators Combined with Central Air Package Units: A Case Study of Tipco Building Group</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chalermporn%20Jindapeng">Chalermporn Jindapeng</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The main objective of the study of the suitable operating conditions of hot water generators combined with central air package units: a case study of Tipco Building Group was to analyze the suitable operating conditions and energy-related costs in each operating condition of hot water generators combined with central air package units which resulted in water-cooled packages. Thermal energy from vapor form refrigerants at high pressures and temperatures was exchanged with thermal energy of the water in the swimming pool that required suitable temperature control for users with the use of plate heat exchangers before refrigerants could enter the condenser in its function to change the status of vapor form refrigerants at high pressures and temperatures to liquid form at high pressures and temperatures. Thus, if this was used to replace heat pumps it could reduce the electrical energy that was used to make hot water and reduce the cost of the electrical energy of air package units including the increased efficacy of air package units. Of the analyses of the suitable operating conditions by means of the study of the elements involved with actual measurements from the system that had been installed at the Tipco Building Group hot water generators were combined with air package units which resulted in water-cooled packages with a cooling capacity of 75 tonnes. Plate heat exchangers were used in the transfer of thermal energy from refrigerants to one set of water with a heat exchanger area of 1.5 m² which was used to increase the temperature of swimming pool water that has a capacity of 240 m³. From experimental results, it was discovered after continuous temperature measurements in the swimming pool every 15 minutes that swimming pool water temperature increased by 0.78 ⁰C 0.75 ⁰C 0.74 ⁰C and 0.71 ⁰C. The rates of flow of hot water through the heat exchangers were equal to 14, 16, 18 and 20 litres per minute respectively where the swimming pool water temperature was at a constant value and when the rate of flow of hot water increased this caused hot water temperatures to decrease and the coefficient of performance of the air package units to increase from 5.9 to 6.3, 6.7, 6.9 and 7.6 while the rates of flow of hot water were equal to 14, 16, 18 and 20 litres per minute, respectively. As for the cooling systems, there were no changes and the system cooling functions were normal as the cooling systems were able to continuously transfer incoming heat for the swimming pool water which resulted in a constant pressure in the cooling system that allowed its cooling functions to work normally. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=central%20air%20package%20units" title="central air package units">central air package units</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=heat%20exchange" title=" heat exchange"> heat exchange</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hot%20water%20generators" title=" hot water generators"> hot water generators</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=swimming%20pool" title=" swimming pool"> swimming pool</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51917/suitable-operating-conditions-of-hot-water-generators-combined-with-central-air-package-units-a-case-study-of-tipco-building-group" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51917.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">258</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12814</span> Intelligent Recognition Tools for Industrial Automation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amin%20%20Nazerzadeh">Amin Nazerzadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Afsaneh%20%20Nouri%20Houshyar"> Afsaneh Nouri Houshyar </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Azadeh%20%20Noori%20Hoshyar"> Azadeh Noori Hoshyar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> With the rapid growing of information technology, the industry and manufacturing systems are becoming more automated. This division has to be made in a methodical way. In this paper, we introduce an industrial control system modeling and simulation based on the Multi-Agent System (MAS) methodology AALAADIN and more particularly the underlying conceptual model Agent/Group/Role (AGR). Indeed, in this division using AGR model, the overall system is decomposed into sub-systems in order to improve the understanding of regulation and control systems, and to simplify the implementation of the obtained agents and their groups, which are implemented using the Multi-Agents Development KIT (MAD-KIT) platform. This approach appears to us to be the most appropriate for modeling of this type of systems because, due to the use of MAS, it is possible to model real systems in which very complex behaviors emerge from relatively simple and local interactions between many different individuals, therefore a MAS is well adapted to describe a system from the standpoint of the activity of its components, that is to say when the behavior of the individuals is complex (difficult to describe with equations). The main aim of this approach is the take advantage of the performance, the scalability and the robustness that are intuitively provided by MAS. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=complex%20systems" title="complex systems">complex systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=modeling%20and%20simulation" title=" modeling and simulation"> modeling and simulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=industrial%20control%20system" title=" industrial control system"> industrial control system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MAS" title=" MAS"> MAS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=AALAADIN" title=" AALAADIN"> AALAADIN</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=AGR" title=" AGR"> AGR</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MAD-KIT" title=" MAD-KIT"> MAD-KIT</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77295/agentgrouprole-organizational-model-to-simulate-an-industrial-control-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77295.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">240</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12811</span> Risk Assessment for Aerial Package Delivery</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Haluk%20Eren">Haluk Eren</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=%C3%9Cmit%20%C3%87elik"> Ümit Çelik</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Recent developments in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have begun to attract intense interest. UAVs started to use for many different applications from military to civilian use. Some online retailer and logistics companies are testing the UAV delivery. UAVs have great potentials to reduce cost and time of deliveries and responding to emergencies in a short time. Despite these great positive sides, just a few works have been done for routing of UAVs for package deliveries. As known, transportation of goods from one place to another may have many hazards on delivery route due to falling hazards that can be exemplified as ground objects or air obstacles. This situation refers to wide-range insurance concept. For this reason, deliveries that are made with drones get into the scope of shipping insurance. On the other hand, air traffic was taken into account in the absence of unmanned aerial vehicle. But now, it has been a reality for aerial fields. In this study, the main goal is to conduct risk analysis of package delivery services using drone, based on delivery routes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aerial%20package%20delivery" title="aerial package delivery">aerial package delivery</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=insurance%20estimation" title=" insurance estimation"> insurance estimation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=territory%20risk%20map" title=" territory risk map"> territory risk map</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unmanned%20aerial%20vehicle" title=" unmanned aerial vehicle"> unmanned aerial vehicle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=route%20risk%20estimation" title=" route risk estimation"> route risk estimation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=drone%20risk%20assessment" title=" drone risk assessment"> drone risk assessment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=drone%20package%20delivery" title=" drone package delivery"> drone package delivery</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/75960/risk-assessment-for-aerial-package-delivery" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/75960.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">341</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12810</span> The Investigation of the Impact of Process and Location Parameters in Warpage Study of Semiconductor Packages</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wheyming%20Song">Wheyming Song</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ssu-Ping%20Lin"> Ssu-Ping Lin</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The primary advantage of package-on-package (PoP) packaging is that since it has less volume, it weighs less. But this is also related to its principal drawback, which is warpage. This research investigates how PoP package warpage patterns are affected by assembling process parameters, including substrate temperature, injection speed, injection temperature, and compound forces. We also investigate how warpage patterns are affected by the location of the silicon chip. The methodologies used in this research are design of experiment and warpage simulation via ANSYS. We propose a regression model to predict the warpage value as a function of substrate temperature, injection speed, injection temperature, and compound forces. Our results show that interaction effects exist between substrate temperature and compound forces and between injection speed and injection temperature. Therefore, determining the optimal values for substrate temperature, compound forces, injection speed, and injection temperature cannot be done individually. Also, our results show that the warpage patterns based on the location of silicon chips can be classified into 11 groups, with the largest warpage occurring at the left-most and right-most sides. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=package-on-package" title="package-on-package">package-on-package</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=warpage" title=" warpage"> warpage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=design%20of%20experiment" title=" design of experiment"> design of experiment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=simulation" title=" simulation"> simulation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70571/the-investigation-of-the-impact-of-process-and-location-parameters-in-warpage-study-of-semiconductor-packages" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70571.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">306</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12809</span> Symbolic Partial Differential Equations Analysis Using Mathematica</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Davit%20Shahnazaryan">Davit Shahnazaryan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Diogo%20Gomes"> Diogo Gomes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mher%20%20Safaryan"> Mher Safaryan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Many symbolic computations and manipulations required in the analysis of partial differential equations (PDE) or systems of PDEs are tedious and error-prone. These computations arise when determining conservation laws, entropies or integral identities, which are essential tools for the study of PDEs. Here, we discuss a new Mathematica package for the symbolic analysis of PDEs that automate multiple tasks, saving time and effort. Methodologies: During the research, we have used concepts of linear algebra and partial differential equations. We have been working on creating algorithms based on theoretical mathematics to find results mentioned below. Major Findings: Our package provides the following functionalities; finding symmetry group of different PDE systems, generation of polynomials invariant with respect to different symmetry groups; simplification of integral quantities by integration by parts and null Lagrangian cleaning, computing general forms of expressions by integration by parts; finding equivalent forms of an integral expression that are simpler or more symmetric form; determining necessary and sufficient conditions on the coefficients for the positivity of a given symbolic expression. Conclusion: Using this package, we can simplify integral identities, find conserved and dissipated quantities of time-dependent PDE or system of PDEs. This system is called the python package index (PyPI), the repository of this programming language. Unfortunately, one-third of these software packages have vulnerabilities that allow attackers to execute code automatically when a vulnerable or malicious package is installed. This paper contributes to large-scale empirical studies investigating security issues in the python ecosystem by evaluating package vulnerabilities. These provide a series of implications that can help the security of software ecosystems by improving the process of discovering, fixing, and managing package vulnerabilities. The vulnerable dataset is generated using the NVD, the national vulnerability database, and the Snyk vulnerability dataset. In addition, we evaluated 807 vulnerability reports in the NVD and 3900 publicly known security vulnerabilities in Python Package Manager (pip) from the Snyk database from 2002 to 2022. As a result, many Python vulnerabilities appear in high severity, followed by medium severity. The most problematic areas have been improper input validation and denial of service attacks. A hybrid scanning tool that combines the three scanners bandit, snyk and dlint, which provide a clear report of the code vulnerability, is also described. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Python%20vulnerabilities" title="Python vulnerabilities">Python vulnerabilities</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bandit" title=" bandit"> bandit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Snyk" title=" Snyk"> Snyk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dlint" title=" Dlint"> Dlint</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Python%20package%20index" title=" Python package index"> Python package index</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ecosystem" title=" ecosystem"> ecosystem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=static%20analysis" title=" static analysis"> static analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=malicious%20attacks" title=" malicious attacks"> malicious attacks</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161094/static-analysis-of-security-issues-of-the-python-packages-ecosystem" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161094.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">140</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12807</span> The Advertising Channels Affecting to Consumer Purchasing Decisions: Case Study of Hair-Care Market in Thailand</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Narong%20Anurak">Narong Anurak</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This study aimed to find out the hair-care purchasing behavior at hypermarkets and to investigate two factors, package design and advertising channels, that influenced hair-care purchasing behavior. This approach aims to create high-quality product or system designs by adhering to specific design principles or axioms, namely, the independence and information axiom. The application of axiomatic design in the design of industrial control and automation software systems could be challenging due to the high flexibility exposed by the software system and the coupling enforced by the hardware part. This paper aims to present how to use axiomatic design for designing industrial control and automation software systems and how to satisfy the independence axiom within these tightly coupled systems. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=axiomatic%20design" title="axiomatic design">axiomatic design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=decoupling" title=" decoupling"> decoupling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=uncoupling" title=" uncoupling"> uncoupling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automation" title=" automation"> automation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186917/application-of-axiomatic-design-in-industrial-control-and-automation-software" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186917.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">50</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12805</span> TDApplied: An R Package for Machine Learning and Inference with Persistence Diagrams</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shael%20Brown">Shael Brown</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Reza%20Farivar"> Reza Farivar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Persistence diagrams capture valuable topological features of datasets that other methods cannot uncover. Still, their adoption in data pipelines has been limited due to the lack of publicly available tools in R (and python) for analyzing groups of them with machine learning and statistical inference. In an easy-to-use and scalable R package called TDApplied, we implement several applied analysis methods tailored to groups of persistence diagrams. The two main contributions of our package are comprehensiveness (most functions do not have implementations elsewhere) and speed (shown through benchmarking against other R packages). We demonstrate applications of the tools on simulated data to illustrate how easily practical analyses of any dataset can be enhanced with topological information. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=machine%20learning" title="machine learning">machine learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=persistence%20diagrams" title=" persistence diagrams"> persistence diagrams</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=R" title=" R"> R</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=statistical%20inference" title=" statistical inference"> statistical inference</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162711/tdapplied-an-r-package-for-machine-learning-and-inference-with-persistence-diagrams" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162711.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">85</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12804</span> Non-Destructive Technique for Detection of Voids in the IC Package Using Terahertz-Time Domain Spectrometer</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sung-Hyeon%20Park">Sung-Hyeon Park</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jin-Wook%20Jang"> Jin-Wook Jang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hak-Sung%20Kim"> Hak-Sung Kim</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In recent years, Terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) imaging method has been received considerable interest as a promising non-destructive technique for detection of internal defects. In comparison to other non-destructive techniques such as x-ray inspection method, scanning acoustic tomograph (SAT) and microwave inspection method, THz-TDS imaging method has many advantages: First, it can measure the exact thickness and location of defects. Second, it doesn’t require the liquid couplant while it is very crucial to deliver that power of ultrasonic wave in SAT method. Third, it didn’t damage to materials and be harmful to human bodies while x-ray inspection method does. Finally, it exhibits better spatial resolution than microwave inspection method. However, this technology couldn’t be applied to IC package because THz radiation can penetrate through a wide variety of materials including polymers and ceramics except of metals. Therefore, it is difficult to detect the defects in IC package which are composed of not only epoxy and semiconductor materials but also various metals such as copper, aluminum and gold. In this work, we proposed a special method for detecting the void in the IC package using THz-TDS imaging system. The IC package specimens for this study are prepared by Packaging Engineering Team in Samsung Electronics. Our THz-TDS imaging system has a special reflection mode called pitch-catch mode which can change the incidence angle in the reflection mode from 10 o to 70 o while the others have transmission and the normal reflection mode or the reflection mode fixed at certain angle. Therefore, to find the voids in the IC package, we investigated the appropriate angle as changing the incidence angle of THz wave emitter and detector. As the results, the voids in the IC packages were successfully detected using our THz-TDS imaging system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=terahertz" title="terahertz">terahertz</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=non-destructive%20technique" title=" non-destructive technique"> non-destructive technique</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=void" title=" void"> void</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IC%20package" title=" IC package"> IC package</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20518/non-destructive-technique-for-detection-of-voids-in-the-ic-package-using-terahertz-time-domain-spectrometer" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20518.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">473</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12803</span> Environmental Limits of Using Newly Developed Progressive Polymer Protection and Repair Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jana%20Hodna">Jana Hodna</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bozena%20Vacenovska"> Bozena Vacenovska</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vit%20Petranek"> Vit Petranek</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The paper is focused on the identification of limiting environmental factors of individual industrial floors on which newly developed polymer protection and repair systems with the use of secondary raw materials will be used. The implementation of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) has become critical in ensuring the security and safety of industrial control and automation systems. However, cybersecurity professionals are facing challenges in implementing RMF, leading to systems operating without authorization and being non-compliant with regulations. The current approach to RMF implementation based on business practices is limited and insufficient, leaving organizations vulnerable to cyberattacks resulting in the loss of personal consumer data and critical infrastructure details. To address these challenges, this research proposes a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to implementing cybersecurity controls and assessing risk through the RMF process. The study emphasizes the need to shift to a modeling approach, which can streamline the RMF process and eliminate bloated structures that make it difficult to receive an Authorization-To-Operate (ATO). The study focuses on the practical application of MBSE in industrial control and automation systems to improve the security and safety of operations. It is concluded that MBSE can be used to solve the implementation challenges of the NIST RMF process and improve the security of industrial control and automation systems. The research suggests that MBSE provides a more effective and efficient method for implementing cybersecurity controls and assessing risk through the RMF process. The future work for this research involves exploring the broader applicability of MBSE in different industries and domains. The study suggests that the MBSE approach can be applied to other domains beyond industrial control and automation systems. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=authorization-to-operate%20%28ATO%29" title="authorization-to-operate (ATO)">authorization-to-operate (ATO)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=industrial%20control%20systems%20%28ICS%29" title=" industrial control systems (ICS)"> industrial control systems (ICS)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=model-based%20system%E2%80%99s%20engineering%20%28MBSE%29" title=" model-based system’s engineering (MBSE)"> model-based system’s engineering (MBSE)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=risk%20management%20framework%20%28RMF%29" title=" risk management framework (RMF)"> risk management framework (RMF)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166874/streamlining-cybersecurity-risk-assessment-for-industrial-control-and-automation-systems-leveraging-the-national-institute-of-standard-and-technologys-risk-management-framework-rmf-using-model-based-system-engineering-mbse" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166874.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">95</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12800</span> A Collaborative Learning Model in Engineering Science Based on a Cyber-Physical Production Line</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yosr%20Ghozzi">Yosr Ghozzi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The Cyber-Physical Systems terminology has been well received by the industrial community and specifically appropriated in educational settings. Indeed, our latest educational activities are based on the development of experimental platforms on an industrial scale. In fact, we built a collaborative learning model because of an international market study that led us to place ourselves at the heart of this technology. To align with these findings, a competency-based approach study was conducted, and program content was revised by reflecting the projectbased approach. Thus, this article deals with the development of educational devices according to a generated curriculum and specific educational activities while respecting the repository of skills adopted from what constitutes the educational cyber-physical production systems and the laboratories that are compliant and adapted to them. The implementation of these platforms was systematically carried out in the school's workshops spaces. The objective has been twofold, both research and teaching for the students in mechatronics and logistics of the electromechanical department. We act as trainers and industrial experts to involve students in the implementation of possible extension systems around multidisciplinary projects and reconnect with industrial projects for better professional integration. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=education%204.0" title="education 4.0">education 4.0</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=competency-based%20learning" title=" competency-based learning"> competency-based learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=teaching%20factory" title=" teaching factory"> teaching factory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=project-based%20learning" title=" project-based learning"> project-based learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cyber-physical%20systems" title=" cyber-physical systems"> cyber-physical systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=industry%204.0" title=" industry 4.0"> industry 4.0</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159160/a-collaborative-learning-model-in-engineering-science-based-on-a-cyber-physical-production-line" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159160.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">107</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12799</span> Tests and Comparison of Two Mobile Industrial Analytical Systems for Mercury Speciation in Flue Gas</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Karel%20Borovec">Karel Borovec</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jerzy%20Gorecki"> Jerzy Gorecki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tadeas%20Ochodek"> Tadeas Ochodek</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Combustion of solid fuels is one of the main sources of mercury in the environment. Additionally, the paper describes a few analytical problems that were encountered during a two-year period of using the systems. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=continuous%20measurement" title="continuous measurement">continuous measurement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flue%20gas" title=" flue gas"> flue gas</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mercury%20determination" title=" mercury determination"> mercury determination</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speciation" title=" speciation"> speciation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78204/tests-and-comparison-of-two-mobile-industrial-analytical-systems-for-mercury-speciation-in-flue-gas" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78204.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">196</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12798</span> Learning Based on Computer Science Unplugged in Computer Science Education: Design, Development, and Assessment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Eiko%20Takaoka">Eiko Takaoka</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yoshiyuki%20Fukushima"> Yoshiyuki Fukushima</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Koichiro%20Hirose"> Koichiro Hirose</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tadashi%20Hasegawa"> Tadashi Hasegawa</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Although all high school students in Japan are required to learn informatics, many of them do not learn this topic sufficiently. In response to this situation, we propose a support package for high school informatics classes. To examine what students learned and if they sufficiently understood the context of the lessons, a questionnaire survey was distributed to 186 students. We analyzed the results of the questionnaire and determined the weakest units, which were “basic computer configuration” and “memory and secondary storage”. We then developed a package for teaching these units. We propose that our package be applied in high school classrooms. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computer%20science%20unplugged" title="computer science unplugged">computer science unplugged</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computer%20science%20outreach" title=" computer science outreach"> computer science outreach</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high%20school%20curriculum" title=" high school curriculum"> high school curriculum</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=experimental%20evaluation" title=" experimental evaluation"> experimental evaluation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6381/learning-based-on-computer-science-unplugged-in-computer-science-education-design-development-and-assessment" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6381.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">387</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12797</span> Template Design Packages for Repetitive Construction Projects</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20Youniss%20Aidbaiss">Ali Youniss Aidbaiss</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=G.%20Unnikrishnan"> G. Even in repetitive projects, failure to implement lessons learnt and correct past mistakes have resulted in various setbacks. This paper describes the concept of reusing successfully implemented design packages as templates for repetitive projects, and thereby lowering the instances of project failures. Units or systems successfully installed in projects can be identified and taken up for preparing template design packages. Standardization of units and systems helps to develop templates from successful designs which can be repeatedly used with confidence. These packages can be used with minimum modifications for developing FEED packages faster, saving cost and other valuable resources. Lessons learnt from the completed project incorporated in the templates avoid repeating past mistakes during detailed design, procurement and execution. With template packages, consistent quality can be maintained for similar projects, avoiding scope creep and scope changes which will ultimately result in cost and time savings. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=engineering%20work%20package" title="engineering work package">engineering work package</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=repetitive%20construction" title=" repetitive construction"> repetitive construction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=template%20design%20package" title=" template design package"> template design package</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time%20saving%20in%20projects" title=" time saving in projects"> time saving in projects</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/63088/template-design-packages-for-repetitive-construction-projects" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/63088.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">318</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12796</span> Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems in Order to Reduce the Electricity Peak Demand in Assalouyeh</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Roya%20Moradifar">Roya Moradifar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bijan%20Honarvar"> Bijan Honarvar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Masoumeh%20Zabihi"> Masoumeh Zabihi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The personal residential camps of South Pars gas complex are one of the few places where electric energy is used for the bath water heating. The widespread use of these devices is mainly responsible for the high peak of the electricity demand in the residential sector. In an attempt to deal with this issue, to reduce the electricity usage of the hot water, as an option, solar hot water systems have been proposed. However, despite the high incidence of solar radiation on the Assaloyeh about 20 MJ/m²/day, currently, there is no technical assessment quantifying the economic benefits on the region. The present study estimates the economic impacts resulting by the deployment of solar hot water systems in residential camp. Hence, the feasibility study allows assessing the potential of solar water heating as an alternative to reduce the peak on the electricity demand. In order to examine the potential of using solar energy in Bidkhoon residential camp two solar water heater packages as pilots were installed for restaurant and building. Restaurant package was damaged due to maintenance problems, but for the building package, we achieved the result of the solar fraction total 83percent and max energy saving 2895 kWh, the maximum reduction in CO₂ emissions calculated as 1634.5 kg. The results of this study can be used as a support tool to spread the use solar water heaters and create policies for South Pars Gas Complex. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
