Upon request, the YCIPTA Title VI Coordinator will provide appropriate assistance to complainants, including people with disabilities, or who are limited in the ability to communicate in English in accordance with <strong>YCIPTA's Limited English Proficiency Plan, page 19 of the Title VI plan</strong> -<a href="documents/YCIPTA_Title_VI_071817_FINAL.pdf"> <strong>click here to download the plan</strong>.</a></p> <p>In instances where additional information is needed for assessment or investigation of the complaint, the YCIPTA Title VI Coordinator will contact the complainant in writing within 15 working days. Failure to provide the requested information by a certain date may result in the administrative closure of the complaint.</p> <p>YCIPTA Title VI Coordinator will investigate the complaint and prepare a draft written response subject to review by the YCIPTA Transit Director and YCIPTA Legal Counsel.</p> <h4>How will I be notified of the outcome of my complaint?</h4> <p>YCIPTA will send a final written response to the complainant and advise the complainant of his or her right to file a complaint externally. YCIPTA will use its best efforts to respond to Title VI complaints within 60 working days of its receipt of such complaints.聽If the complainant is not satisfied with the resolution of the complaint, they have the right to appeal.</p> <p>In addition to the complaint process at YCIPTA, individuals and organizations may also file a complaint by completing a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Civil Rights <strong><a href="https://www.transit.dot.gov/sites/fta.dot.gov/files/docs/Consolidated_Civil_Rights_Complaint_Form.pdf">complaint form</a></strong> and submitting directly to the FTA and/or Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
