Fisheries</p> </div> <p>As a company passionate about sustainability, much of our work falls under the umbrellas of ESG (environmental social governance) and CSR (corporate social responsibility). We鈥檙e proud of our environmental credentials and our contribution to the blue economy because we believe the fisheries and aquaculture industries can only thrive if they are environmentally sustainable.</p> <p>From an environmental perspective, this means we strive to ensure a company鈥檚 supply is from a source which is, at the very least, not damaging any part of the environment. This could mean meeting, or improving upon, desired standards or certification schemes for fish production, such as those set by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Global GAP while appealing to customers and meeting market requirements and regulations. Increasingly, it also involves looking at the impact of the wider supply chain through carbon footprinting, carbon sequestration, recycling and the circular economy.</p> <p>Social responsibility: as well as protecting the environment from the negative impacts of fishing, we help our clients consider their social responsibility. In a landscape where revelations of forced labour have caused many retailers to question their supply chains, we help clients meet social accountability, labour and health and safety standards, such as SA 800 or SMETA-based audits. We can provide a variety of social risk assessment services, including labour assessments of fish processors and fishing vessels and providing future improvement plans.</p> <p>We have a wealth of experience in developing and monitoring comprehensive and achievable CSR and ESG policies for fisheries and aquaculture companies around the world.
