Sur l’illustration, le jet aligné sur l’axe de rotation du pulsar, est perpendiculaire à la trajectoire du pulsar et s’étend à plus de 37 années-lumière (dix fois la distance allant de notre soleil à l’étoile la plus proche de celui-ci).
