Truly I say to you, a sign shall not be given to this generation."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he left them and boarded the ship and they went to the other side.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They had forgotten to take bread, and except for one cake, there was nothing with them in the ship.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he commanded them and he said to them, "Behold, beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of the yeast of Herodus."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they were reasoning with one another, and they were saying, "It is because we have no bread."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua knew and he said to them, "Why are you considering that you have no bread? Do you not yet know? Do you not yet understand? Your heart is still hard."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"You have eyes and do not see and you have ears and you do not hear, neither do you remember."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"When I broke those five loaves for the 5000, after they were filled, how many baskets of fragments did you take up?" They said to him, "Twelve."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them, "And when the seven to the 4000, after they were filled, how many baskets of fragments did you take up?" They said, "Seven."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them, "How is it that you still do not understand?"</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he came to Bethsaida, and they brought a blind man to him, and they were begging him to touch him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he grasped the hand of the blind man and took him outside the town and he spat in his eyes and laid his hand upon him and he asked him what he saw.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He gazed and he said, "I see people like trees that are walking."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He laid his hand again on his eyes and he was healed, and he saw everything clearly.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he sent him to his house and he said, "Do not enter the town; neither tell anyone in the town."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua and his disciples went out to the villages of Caesarea Philippi, and he was asking his disciples in the road and he said to them, "What is it the people are saying about me as to who I am?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Some said, "Yohannan the Baptizer", and others "Elijah" and others, "One of The Prophets."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua said to them, "But what is it you are saying about me as to who I am?" Shimeon answered and he said to him, "You are The Messiah, The Son of THE LIVING GOD*."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he admonished them that they should not speak about him to anyone.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he began to teach them: "The Son of Man is going to suffer many things and to be rejected by the Elders and by the Chief Priests and by the Scribes and he shall be killed, and in three days he shall rise."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he was speaking the word openly and Kaypha took him aside and began to rebuke him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he turned and gazed at his disciples and rebuked Shimeon and said, "Depart behind me Satan, for you do not reason of God, but of the children of men."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua called the crowds with his disciples, and he said to them, "Whoever is willing to come after me, let him renounce himself* and take up his cross and let him come after me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/8-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Whoever desires to save his soul will lose it.
