there was not a city<MH7151> which<MH834> we did not take<MH3947> from them: sixty<MH8346> cities<MH5892b>, all<MH3605> the region<MH2256a> of Argob<MH709b>, the kingdom<MH4467> of Og<MH5747> in Bashan<MH1316>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>All<MH3605> these<MH428> were cities<MH5892b> fortified<MH1219> with high<MH1364> walls<MH2346>, gates<MH1817>, and bars<MH1280>, besides<MH905, 4480> a great<MH3966> many<MH7235a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>unwalled<MH6521> towns<MH5892b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>We <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>utterly<MH2763a> destroyed<MH2763a> them, as we did<MH6213a> to Sihon<MH5511> king<MH4428> of Heshbon<MH2809>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>utterly<MH2763a> destroying<MH2763a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>the men<MH4962>, women<MH802>, and children<MH2945> of every<MH3605> city<MH5892b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>But all<MH3605> the animals<MH929> and the spoils<MH7998> of the cities<MH5892b> we took<MH962> as our plunder<MH962>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>&#8220;So at that time<MH6256> we took<MH3947> the land<MH776> from the hand<MH3027> of the two<MH8147> kings<MH4428> of the Amorites<MH567> who<MH834> were beyond<MH5676> the Jordan<MH3383>, from the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>Valley<MH5158a> of Arnon<MH769> to Mount<MH2022> Hermon<MH2768> <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>(Sidonians<MH6722> call<MH7121> Hermon<MH2768> Sirion<MH8303>, and the Amorites<MH567> call<MH7121> it Senir<MH8149>): <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>all<MH3605> the cities<MH5892b> of the plateau<MH4334>, all<MH3605> Gilead<MH1568>, and all<MH3605> Bashan<MH1316>, as far<MH5704> as Salecah<MH5548> and Edrei<MH154>, cities<MH5892b> of the kingdom<MH4467> of Og<MH5747> in Bashan<MH1316>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>(For only<MH7534b> Og<MH5747> king<MH4428> of Bashan<MH1316> was left<MH7604> of the remnant<MH3499a> of the Rephaim<MH7497>. Behold<MH2009>, his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>bed<MH6210> was a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>bed<MH6210> of iron<MH1270>; it is in Rabbah<MH7237> of the sons<MH1121> of Ammon<MH5983>. From Aroer<MH6177>, which<MH834> is by the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>Valley<MH5158a> of Arnon<MH769>, and half<MH2677> the hill<MH2022> country<MH2022> of Gilead<MH1568> and its cities<MH5892b> I gave<MH5414> to the Reubenites<MH7206> and to the Gadites<MH1425>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>The rest<MH3499a> of Gilead<MH1568> and all<MH3605> Bashan<MH1316>, the kingdom<MH4467> of Og<MH5747>, I gave<MH5414> to the half-tribe<MH2677, 7626> of Manasseh<MH4519>, all<MH3605> the region<MH2256a> of Argob<MH709b>.
