Holy<MG40> Father<MG3962>, keep<MG5083> them in Your name<MG3686>, <i>the name</i> which<MG3739> You have given<MG1325> Me, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> they may be one<MG1520> just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> We <i>are.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>While<MG3753> I was with them, I was keeping<MG5083> them in Your name<MG3686>, which<MG3739> You have given<MG1325> Me; and I guarded<MG5442> them, and not one<MG3762> of them perished<MG622> except<MG1508> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>son<MG5207> of destruction<MG684>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> the Scripture<MG1124> would be fulfilled<MG4137>. <p class="hdg">The Disciples in the World</p><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>But now<MG3568> I am coming<MG2064> to You; and these<MG3778> things<MG3778> I speak<MG2980> in the world<MG2889> so<MG2443> that<MG2443> they may have<MG2192> My joy<MG5479> made<MG4137> full<MG4137> in themselves<MG1438>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>I have given<MG1325> them Your word<MG3056>; Your word<MG3056> is truth<MG225>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> You sent<MG649> Me into the world<MG2889>, I also<MG2532> sent<MG649> them into the world<MG2889>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And for<MG5228> their sakes<MG5228> I sanctify<MG37> Myself<MG1683>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> they themselves<MG846> also<MG2532> may be sanctified<MG37> in truth<MG225>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>“I am not asking<MG2065> on behalf<MG4012> of these<MG3778> alone<MG3441>, but also<MG2532> for those<MG3588> who believe<MG4100> in Me through<MG1223> their word<MG3056>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/17-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>that they may all<MG3956> be one<MG1520>;
