I did take my time and read the quests and look around. If you don't care about lore or plan to do a slower playthrough once flying is unlocked - it would be much faster. I needed guides because it lets you accept quests out of order and nothing makes sense for which quests are tied to which without one. I needed guides because it lets you accept quests out of order and nothing makes sense for which quests are tied to which without one.
