Over the years, advances in technology and research have led to the development of a wide range of radiopharmaceuticals that are used in a variety of medical applications. One of the most common uses of radiopharmaceuticals is in diagnostic imaging. These drugs are designed to accumulate in specific organs or tissues, which allows them to be detected by specialized imaging equipment such as PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scanners or SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) scanners.
