In this way, we make a decisive contribution to the development of the German economy. This includes in particular the development and provision of reference methods and reference materials. Furthermore, we are strongly involved in the further development of the German system for traceability of chemical analyses.</p> <p>We have numerous methods, test procedures and test laboratories and provide reference procedures that evaluate the accuracy and reliability of measurement procedures. Companies can use reference procedures provided by us as testing standards. Reference materials are indispensable when it comes to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement results.</p> <p>We develop and certify reference materials to ensure correct and reliable measurement results. In addition, the BAM laboratories involved are regularly audited by DAkkS.</p> <p>Interlaboratory comparisons are an effective tool to establish the comparability of measurement and test results of different laboratories. The objectives are the validation of test methods, the characterization of reference materials and the proof of measurement capability, for example in audits.
