With over 25 years of industry experience, he is also a consultant and corporate advisor on Asian strategy, focusing on the semiconductor equipment and materials industry.</p> <p>Prior to founding JSO TransPacific, Mr. Ohmine was President and Founder of TriArc Associates, a company that designed and manufactured specialized light sources for semiconductor manufacturing, which ultimately was bought out by a Hong Kong conglomerate. Prior to founding TriArc, Mr. Ohmine was Vice President and co-Founder of Quester Technology, a joint venture between Canon (Japan) and Lam Research.</p> <p>Earlier in his career, Mr. Ohmine was Manager of Japan Operations at Gemini Research, a company specializing in design and manufacturing of semiconductor wafer processing equipment. Mr. Ohmine started off his professional career in the USA as an R&D; engineer with Acurex Corporation.</p> <p>He earned an MS in Material Science from Pennsylvania State University. He also has a BA from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Mr. Ohmine resided in Japan until his freshman year at Seikei University (Tokyo). He transferred from Seikei University to SUNY at Stony Brook after he obtained an international scholarship grant from the Environment Agency of Japan.</p> <p>Mr. Ohmine, raised and educated in Japan, is also an established lecturer in USA-Japan/Korea/Taiwan/PRC relations and has made numerous presentations regarding this subject throughout Asia. He is completely bilingual in English-Japanese and bi-cultural in USA-Asia.
