This means the BBC is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such information. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal information about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law. </p> <p> BBC Together is an experimental additional feature to your BBC Account which lets you watch BBC content as a group, with family or friends, at exactly the same time using a unique URL. Before sending the unique URL, you will need to ensure you that you have the agreement of the person receiving it. The service syncs the content so everyone in your group can laugh at the same joke, watch the same goal and so on. </p> <p> You are also invited once you have used BBC Together, to complete the anonymous optional survey and provide feedback on your experience. </p> <h2> What we will collect and how we use it </h2> <p> The BBC will collect and process the personal information that you have provided to us about yourself as set out below. </p> <h2> Personal Data we collect from you </h2> <p> You must be 13 years or older to use BBC Together. If you use BBC Together the BBC will collect and process the following personal information: </p> <ul><li> your IP address information to determine if the browser visiting the page is within the UK or the E.U,  </li><li> device type used to visit the website, (for example; mobile, desktop or tablet).  </li><li> your geolocation (City) </li><li> your Browser ID </li><li> Hashed ID, where personalisation is enabled in your BBC Account for analytics purposes only </li><li> your BBC account information -  We check to make sure you’ve signed in and if  you have switched on the parental lock on your BBC Account.  </li></ul> <p> Additional data collected: </p> <ul><li> analytics data - we do collect analytics data to measure how BBC services are being used, accessed and to improve our services to you </li><li> how many devices are connected per session  </li><li> how long the session lasted  </li><li> the content played in the session </li></ul> <p> BBC Together is an experimental prototype. Programmes you watch on BBC Together won’t appear in your watch history and nor will they influence any recommendations made to you by the BBC (should you have personalisation enabled in your BBC Account). </p> <h2> Who is the Data Controller? </h2> <p> The BBC is a “data controller” of your personal information. This means that the BBC decides how it will use and collect your personal information and what it will use your personal information for. The BBC will be using and collecting your personal information solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice and the BBC is responsible for complying and demonstrating its compliance with data protection law. </p> <h2> Lawful basis for processing your personal information </h2> <p> The legal basis on which the BBC processes your personal information is the BBC’s legitimate interest to make available BBC content and services to our audiences.
