The research aims to prove the existence of an evolutionary axis in the genre of prelude's history, which is believed to be fading. In this research, Bach, Chopin, and Debussy's works are demonstrated and explored by creating a definition of the genre on his own terms and having an impact on future composers in the following generations. Taking into account, the educational aspect of the prelude and its connection to the genre of study, a brief conversation about it is also provided with an assessment of shorter versions of the genre, for instance, Chopin's preludes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=music" title="music">music</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=piano" title=" piano"> piano</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prelude" title=" prelude"> prelude</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bach" title=" Bach"> Bach</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chopin" title=" Chopin"> Chopin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Debussy" title=" Debussy"> Debussy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186517/the-evolution-of-the-piano-preludes-by-focusing-on-bach-chopin-and-debussys-work" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186517.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">47</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">309</span> External Store Safe Separation Evaluation Process Implementing CFD and MIL-HDBK-1763</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thien%20Bach%20Nguyen">Thien Bach Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nhu-Van%20Nguyen"> Nhu-Van Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Phi-Minh%20Nguyen"> Phi-Minh Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Minh%20Hien%20Dao"> Minh Hien Dao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The external store safe separation evaluation process implementing CFD and MIL-HDBK-1763 is proposed to support the evaluation and compliance of the external store safe separation with the extensive using CFD and the criteria from MIL-HDBK-1763. The criteria of safe separation are researched and investigated for the various standards and handbooks such as MIL-HDBK-1763, MIL-HDBK-244A, AGARD-AG-202 and AGARD-AG-300 to acquire the appropriate and tailored values and limits for the typical applications of external carriages and aircraft fighters. The CFD and 6DOF simulations are extensively used in ANSYS 2023 R1 Software for verification and validation of moving unstructured meshes and solvers by calibrating the position, aerodynamic forces and moments of the existing air-to-ground missile models. The verified CFD and 6DoF simulation separation process is applied and implemented for the investigation of the typical munition separation phenomena and compliance with the tailored requirements of MIL-HDBK-1763. The prediction of munition trajectory parameters under aircraft aerodynamics interference and specified rack unit consideration after munition separation is provided and complied with the tailored requirements to support the safe separation evaluation of improved and newly external store munition before the flight test performed. The proposed process demonstrates the effectiveness and reliability in providing the understanding of the complicated store separation and the reduction of flight test sorties during the improved and new munition development projects by extensively using the CFD and tailoring the existing standards. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=external%20store%20separation" title="external store separation">external store separation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MIL-HDBK-1763" title=" MIL-HDBK-1763"> MIL-HDBK-1763</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CFD" title=" CFD"> CFD</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=moving%20meshes" title=" moving meshes"> moving meshes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flight%20test%20data" title=" flight test data"> flight test data</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=munition." title=" munition."> munition.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/192199/external-store-safe-separation-evaluation-process-implementing-cfd-and-mil-hdbk-1763" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/192199.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">24</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">308</span> The Difficulties Encountered in Overseeing Learner-Centered Instructional Activities for Elementary School Children in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Van%20Son%20Huynh">Van Son Huynh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thanh%20Huan%20Nguyen"> Thanh Huan Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tat%20Thien%20Do"> Tat Thien Do</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thi%20Mai%20Thu%20Nguyen"> Thi Mai Thu Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thien%20Vu%20Giang"> Thien Vu Giang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Given the necessity for substantial and all-encompassing educational reform, particularly in elementary Education, it is imperative to prioritize learner-centered instruction at the elementary level. A case study of Phuc Thien Company which is classified as a medium enterprise in the country, specialising on animal feed production. Since the technological development rapidly changes, companies have implemented advanced technologies in supply chain management to increase efficiency and gain collaboration amidst partners in their manufacturing and development activities. The findings of this research reveal strengths and ongoing weaknesses when Phuc Thien company internally implemented eProcurement system. Although cost savings, visibility of payment and speedy procurement process are one of the largest benefits of eProcurement implementation, the company faces greater hurdles, such as employee capability to use technology and their resistance to change, that overshadow everything else. In terms of governmental policy, the adaptation of e-invoicing has commenced since June 2015 in Vietnam, legal regulations and administrative framework related to e-Procurement carries various ambiguous in its content and extremely fragment. Hence, this adds a great burden to enterprises in general and Phuc Thien in particular in view of creating higher competitive advantage for animal feed industry in Vietnam as well as South East Asia region. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=procurement" title="procurement">procurement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=e-procurement" title=" e-procurement"> e-procurement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=animal%20feed%20industry" title=" animal feed industry"> animal feed industry</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=efficiency" title=" efficiency"> efficiency</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66946/the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly-in-e-procurement-a-case-study-of-agricultural-company-in-vietnam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66946.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">334</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">306</span> An Application of Hip Arthroscopy after Acute Injury - A Case Report</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Le%20Nguyen%20Binh">Le Nguyen Binh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luong%20Xuan%20Binh"> Luong Xuan Binh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Le%20Van%20Tuan"> Le Van Tuan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tran%20Binh%20Duong"> Tran Binh Duong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Truong%20Nguyen%20Khanh%20Hung"> Truong Nguyen Khanh Hung</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Do%20Le%20Hoang%20Son"> Do Le Hoang Son</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pham%20Quang%20Vinh"> Pham Quang Vinh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hoang%20Quoc%20Huy"> Hoang Quoc Huy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Bach"> Nguyen Bach</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Quoc%20Khanh%20Le"> Nguyen Quoc Khanh Le</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jiunn%20Horng%20Kang"> Jiunn Horng Kang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Introduction: Traumatic hip dislocation is an emergency in young adult which can cause avascular necrosis of femoral head or osteoarthritis of hip joint. The reasons for these may be the loose body of bony or chondral fragments, which are difficult to be detected on CT scan or MRI. In those cases, Hip arthroscopy may be the method of choice for diagnosis and treatment of loose bodies in hip joint after traumatic dislocation. Methods: A case report is performed. A 55-year-old male patient was under hip arthroscopy to retrieve the loose body in the right hip joint. Results: The patient’s hip was reduced under anesthesia in the opeation room. Xray and CT scan post-reduction showed that his right hip was wide and a small fragment of femoral head (< 5mm) locking inside the joint. A hip arthroscopy was done to take the fragment out. Post-operation, the patient went under rehabilition. After 6 months, he can walk with full-weight bearing; no further dislocaion was noted, and the Harris score was 84 points. Conclusions: Although acute traumatic injury of hip joint is usually treated with open surgeries, these methods have many drawbacks, such as soft tissue destruction, blood-loss,….Despite its technical requirement, hip arthroscopy is less invasive and effective treatment. Therefore, it may be an alternative treatment for a traumatic hip injury and can be applied frequently in the near future. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hip%20dislocation" title="hip dislocation">hip dislocation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hip%20arthroscopy" title=" hip arthroscopy"> hip arthroscopy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hip%20osteoarthritis" title=" hip osteoarthritis"> hip osteoarthritis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=acute%20hip%20trauma" title=" acute hip trauma"> acute hip trauma</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162276/an-application-of-hip-arthroscopy-after-acute-injury-a-case-report" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162276.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">86</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">305</span> Flood Planning Based on Risk Optimization: A Case Study in Phan-Calo River Basin in Vinh Phuc Province, Vietnam</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Quang%20Kim">Nguyen Quang Kim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Thu%20Hien"> Nguyen Thu Hien</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Thien%20Dung"> Nguyen Thien Dung</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Flood disasters are increasing worldwide in both frequency and magnitude. Every year in Vietnam, flood causes great damage to people, property, and environmental degradation. The flood risk management policy in Vietnam is currently updated. The planning of flood mitigation strategies is reviewed to make a decision how to reach sustainable flood risk reduction. This paper discusses the basic approach where the measures of flood protection are chosen based on minimizing the present value of expected monetary expenses, total residual risk and costs of flood control measures. This approach will be proposed and demonstrated in a case study for flood risk management in Vinh Phuc province of Vietnam. Research also proposed the framework to find a solution of optimal protection level and optimal measures of the flood. It provides an explicit economic basis for flood risk management plans and interactive effects of options for flood damage reduction. The results of the case study are demonstrated and discussed which would provide the processing of actions helped decision makers to choose flood risk reduction investment options. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=drainage%20plan" title="drainage plan">drainage plan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flood%20planning" title=" flood planning"> flood planning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flood%20risk" title=" flood risk"> flood risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=residual%20risk" title=" residual risk"> residual risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=risk%20optimization" title=" risk optimization"> risk optimization</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/87574/flood-planning-based-on-risk-optimization-a-case-study-in-phan-calo-river-basin-in-vinh-phuc-province-vietnam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/87574.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">242</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">304</span> Generating Product Description with Generative Pre-Trained Transformer 2</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Minh-Thuan%20Nguyen">Minh-Thuan Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Phuong-Thai%20Nguyen"> Phuong-Thai Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Van-Vinh%20Nguyen"> Van-Vinh Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Quang-Minh%20Nguyen"> Quang-Minh Nguyen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Research on automatically generating descriptions for e-commerce products is gaining increasing attention in recent years. However, the generated descriptions of their systems are often less informative and attractive because of lacking training datasets or the limitation of these approaches, which often use templates or statistical methods. In this paper, we explore a method to generate production descriptions by using the GPT-2 model. In addition, we apply text paraphrasing and task-adaptive pretraining techniques to improve the qualify of descriptions generated from the GPT-2 model. Experiment results show that our models outperform the baseline model through automatic evaluation and human evaluation. Especially, our methods achieve a promising result not only on the seen test set but also in the unseen test set. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=GPT-2" title="GPT-2">GPT-2</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=product%20description" title=" product description"> product description</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transformer" title=" transformer"> transformer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=task-adaptive" title=" task-adaptive"> task-adaptive</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=language%20model" title=" language model"> language model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pretraining" title=" pretraining"> pretraining</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141901/generating-product-description-with-generative-pre-trained-transformer-2" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141901.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">197</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">303</span> Some Observations on the Analysis of Four Performances of the Allemande from J.S. Bach's Partita for solo flute (BWV 1013) presents many unique challenges for any flautist, especially in terms of segmentation analysis required to select breathing places in the first half. Without claiming to identify a 'correct' solution to this problem, this paper analyzes the section in terms of a set of techniques based around a statistical property commonly (if not ubiquitously) found in music, namely Zipf’s law. Specifically, the paper considers violations of this expected profile at various levels of analysis, an approach which has yielded interesting insights in previous studies. The investigation is then grounded by considering four actual solutions to the problem found in recordings made by different flautists, which opens up the possibility of expanding Zipfian analysis to include a consideration of inter-onset-intervals (IOIs). It is found that significant deviations from the expected Zipfian distributions can reveal and highlight stylistic choices made by different performers. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inter-onset-interval" title="inter-onset-interval">inter-onset-interval</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Partita%20for%20solo%20flute" title=" Partita for solo flute"> Partita for solo flute</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=BWV%201013" title=" BWV 1013"> BWV 1013</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=segmentation%20analysis" title=" segmentation analysis"> segmentation analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zipf%E2%80%99s%20law" title=" Zipf’s law"> Zipf’s law</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/92755/some-observations-on-the-analysis-of-four-performances-of-the-allemande-from-js-bachs-partita-for-solo-flute-bwv-1013-in-terms-of-zipfs-law" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/92755.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">182</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">302</span> A Method for Processing Unwanted Target Caused by Reflection in Secondary Surveillance Radar</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Khanh%20D.Do">Khanh D.Do</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Loi%20V.Nguyen"> Loi V.Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thanh%20N.Nguyen"> Thanh N.Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thang%20M.Nguyen"> Thang M.Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vu%20T.Tran"> Vu T.Tran</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Along with the development of Secondary surveillance radar (SSR) in air traffic surveillance systems, the Multipath phenomena has always been a noticeable problem. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to quantify the level of sustainable use of marine ecosystems, which have been paid attention for more than two decades in the direction of a quantitative approach by indicator and index development using methods of building and analyzing indicators and indices. With the employment of the above methods, over the past two decades, a number of marine ecosystems in Vietnam have been quantitatively evaluated for sustainable use for integrated coastal and marine management. Thirty indicators for sustainable use of marine ecosystems in the Northeast of Vietnam, together with indices, have been developed to assess mangrove, coral, and beach ecosystems. An assessment shows the following results. The mangrove ecosystem declined from sustainable to unsustainable uses in the period 1989-2007. The coral ecosystem in 2003 was at a sensitive point between sustainable and unsustainable uses. The beach ecosystem was evaluated with ten selected beaches in the period 2013-2018, showing that nine beaches are at a sustainable level, and one beach is at an unsustainable level. The Thua Thien-Hue coastal lagoon ecosystem assessed by 21 indicators of environmental vulnerability in 2014 showed less sustainability. The marine ecosystems around the offshore islands of Bach Long Vi, Con Co, and Tho Chu were tested to assess the level of sustainable use by the index of total economic value. The results show that these ecosystems are being used sustainably but are also at risk of falling to an unsustainable level (Tho Chu). The use of the environmental vulnerability index or economic value index to evaluate ecosystem sustainability only reflects parts of the function or value of the system but does not fully reflect the sustainability of the system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=index" title="index">index</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=indicators" title=" indicators"> indicators</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainability%20evaluation" title=" sustainability evaluation"> sustainability evaluation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vietnam%20marine%20ecosystems" title=" Vietnam marine ecosystems"> Vietnam marine ecosystems</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/152831/development-of-sustainability-indicators-for-marine-ecosystem-management-initial-research-results-in-vietnam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/152831.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">108</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">298</span> A Sociological Investigation on the Population and Public Spaces of Nguyen Cong Tru, a Soviet-Style Collective Housing Complex in Hanoi in Regards to Its New Community-Focused Architectural Design</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duy%20Nguyen%20Do">Duy Nguyen Do</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bart%20Julien%20Dewancker"> Bart Julien Dewancker</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Many Soviet-style collective housing complexes (also known as KTT) were built since the 1960s in Hanoi to support the post-war population growth. Those low-rise buildings have created well-knitted, robust communities, so much to the point that in most complexes, all families in one housing block would know each other, occasionally interact and provide supports in need. To understand how the community of collective housing complexes have developed and maintained in order to adapt their advantages into modern housing designs, the study is executed on the site of Nguyen Cong Tru KTT. This is one of the oldest KTT in Hanoi, completed in 1954. The complex also has an unique characteristic that is closely related to its community: the symbiotic relationship with Hom – a flea market that has been co-developing with Nguyen Cong Tru KTT since its beginning. The research consists of three phases: the first phase is a sociological investigation with Nguyen Cong Tru KTT’s current residents and a site survey on the complex’s economic and architectural characteristics. In the second phase, the collected data is analyzed to find out people’s opinions with the KTT’s concerning their satisfaction with the current housing status, floor plan organization, community, the relationship between the KTT’s dedicated public spaces with the flea market and their usage. Simultaneously, the master plan and gathered information regarding current architectural characteristics of the complex are also inspected. On the third phase, the analyses’ results will provide information regarding the issues, positive trends and significant historical features of the complex’s architecture in order to generate suitable proposals for the redesigning project of Nguyen Cong Tru KTT, a design focused on vitalizing modern apartments’ communities. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=collective%20house%20community" title="collective house community">collective house community</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=collective%20house%20public%20space" title=" collective house public space"> collective house public space</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=community-focused" title=" community-focused"> community-focused</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=redesigning%20Nguyen%20Cong%20Tru%20KTT" title=" redesigning Nguyen Cong Tru KTT"> redesigning Nguyen Cong Tru KTT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sociological%20investigation" title=" sociological investigation "> sociological investigation </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68487/a-sociological-investigation-on-the-population-and-public-spaces-of-nguyen-cong-tru-a-soviet-style-collective-housing-complex-in-hanoi-in-regards-to-its-new-community-focused-architectural-design" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68487.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">363</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">297</span> A Novel Search Pattern for Motion Estimation in High Efficiency Video Coding</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Phong%20Nguyen">Phong Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Phap%20Nguyen"> Phap Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thang%20Nguyen"> Thang Nguyen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or H.265 Standard fulfills the demand of high resolution video storage and transmission since it achieves high compression ratio. However, it requires a huge amount of calculation. Since Motion Estimation (ME) block composes about 80 % of calculation load of HEVC, there are a lot of researches to reduce the computation cost. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to lower the number of Motion Estimation’s searching points. The number of computing points in search pattern is down from 77 for Diamond Pattern and 81 for Square Pattern to only 31. Meanwhile, the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and bit rate are almost equal to those of conventional patterns. The motion estimation time of new algorithm reduces by at 68.23%, 65.83%compared to the recommended search pattern of diamond pattern, square pattern, respectively. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=motion%20estimation" title="motion estimation">motion estimation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wide%20diamond" title=" wide diamond"> wide diamond</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=search%20pattern" title=" search pattern"> search pattern</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=H.265" title=" H.265"> H.265</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=test%20zone%20search" title=" test zone search"> test zone search</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HM%20software" title=" HM software"> HM software</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/22368/a-novel-search-pattern-for-motion-estimation-in-high-efficiency-video-coding" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/22368.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">611</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">296</span> Numerical Modelling of a Vacuum Consolidation Project in Vietnam</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Trong%20Nghia">Nguyen Trong Nghia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Huu%20Uy%20Vu"> Nguyen Huu Uy Vu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dang%20Huu%20Phuoc"> Dang Huu Phuoc</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sanjay%20Kumar%20Shukla"> Sanjay Kumar Shukla</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Le%20Gia%20Lam"> Le Gia Lam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Van%20Cuong"> Nguyen Van Cuong</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper introduces a matching scheme for selection of soil/drain properties in analytical solution and numerical modelling (axisymmetric and plane strain conditions) of a ground improvement project by using Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD) in combination with vacuum and surcharge preloading. A total of 13 outfall samples, 30 surface water samples, and 2 groundwater samples were analyzed for fecal contamination and untreated human waste using a suite of 25 chemical markers and 5 bio-markers. Pearson rank correlation tests were conducted to establish associations between the abundances of bio-markers and the concentrations of chemical markers. Results show that 16S rRNA gene of human-associated Bacteroidales (BacH) was very strongly correlated (0.76 – 0.97, p < 0.05) with labile chemical markers acetaminophen, cotinine, estriol, and urobilin. Likewise, human-specific F- RNA coliphages (F-RNA-II) and labile chemical markers, urobilin, ibuprofen, cotinine and estriol, were significantly correlated (0.77 – 0.95, p < 0.05). Similarly, a strong positive correlation (0.67 – 0.91, p < 0.05) was evident between the abundances of bio-markers BacH and F-RNA-II, and the concentrations of the conservative markers, trimethoprim, meprobamate, diltiazem, triclocarban, metformin, sucralose, gemfibrozil, sulfamethoxazole, and carbamazepine. Human mitochondrial DNA (MitoH) correlated moderately with labile markers nicotine and salicylic acid as well as with conservative markers metformin and triclocarban (0.31 – 0.47, p<0.05). This study showed that by associating chemical and biological markers, a robust technique was developed for fingerprinting source-specific untreated waste and fecal contamination in source waters. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=anthropogenic%20markers" title="anthropogenic markers">anthropogenic markers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bacteroidales" title=" bacteroidales"> bacteroidales</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fecal%20pollution" title=" fecal pollution"> fecal pollution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=source%20waters" title=" source waters"> source waters</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wastewater" title=" wastewater"> wastewater</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/192663/the-simultaneous-application-of-chemical-and-biological-markers-to-identify-reliable-indicators-of-untreated-human-waste-and-fecal-pollution-in-urban-philadelphia-source-waters" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/192663.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">15</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">294</span> Payments for Forest Environmental Services: Advantages and Disadvantages in the Different Mechanisms in Vietnam North Central Area</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Huong%20Nguyen%20Thi%20Thanh">Huong Nguyen Thi Thanh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Van%20Mai%20Thi%20Khanh"> Van Mai Thi Khanh</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> For around the world, payments for environmental services have been implemented since the late 1970s in Europe and North America; then, it was spread to Latin America, Asia, Africa, and finally Oceania in 2008. In Vietnam, payments for environmental services are an interesting issue recently with the forest as the main focus and therefore known as the program on payment for forest environmental services (PFES). PFES was piloted in Lam Dong and Son La in 2008 and has been widely applied in many provinces after 2010. PFES is in the orientation for the socialization of national forest protection in Vietnam and has made great strides in the last decade. By using the primary data and secondary data simultaneously, the paper clarifies two cases of implementing PFES in the Vietnam North Central area with the different mechanisms of payment. In the first case at Phu Loc district (Thua Thien Hue province), PFES is an indirect method by a water supply company via the Forest Protection and Development Fund. In the second one at Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh Province), tourism companies are the direct payers to forest owners. The paper describes the PFES implementation process at each site, clarifies the payment mechanism, and models the relationship between stakeholders in PFES implementation. Based on the current status of PFES sites, the paper compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the two payment methods. The cost of rebuilding houses after flood and typhoon has been always a burden for low income households. These costs often lead to the elimination of essential construction practices for disaster resistance. Despite relief efforts from international non-profit organizations and Vietnam government, the impacts of flood and typhoon damages to residential construction has been reoccurring to the same neighborhood annually. Notwithstanding its importance, this topic has not been systematically investigated. The study is limited to assistance provided to low income households documenting existing conditions of low income homes impacted by post flood and typhoon conditions in the Thua Thien Hue Province. The research identifies leading causes of the building failure from the natural disasters. Relief efforts and progress made since the last typhoon is documented. The quality of construction and repairs are assessed based on Home Builders Guide to Coastal Construction by Federal Emergency Management Agency. Focus group discussions and individual interviews with local residents from four different communities were conducted to get incites on repair effort by the non-profit organizations and Vietnam government, and their needs post flood and typhoon. The findings from the field study informed that many of the local people are now aware of the importance of improving housing conditions as one of the key coping strategies to withstand flood and typhoon events as it makes housing and community more resilient to future events. While there has been a remarkable improvement of housing and infrastructure with the support from the local government as well as the non-profit organizations, many households in the study areas are found to still live in weak and fragile housing conditions without gaining access to the aid to repair and strengthen the houses. Given that the major immediate recovery action taken by the local people tends to focus on repairing damaged houses, and on this ground, low-income households spend a considerable amount of their income on housing repair, providing proper and applicable construction practices will not only improve the housing condition, but also contribute to reducing poverty in Vietnam. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=disaster%20coping%20mechanism" title="disaster coping mechanism">disaster coping mechanism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=housing%20welfare" title=" housing welfare"> housing welfare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=low-income%20housing" title=" low-income housing"> low-income housing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=recovery%20reduction" title=" recovery reduction"> recovery reduction</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46389/the-impact-of-floods-and-typhoons-on-housing-welfare-case-study-of-thua-thien-hue-province-vietnam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46389.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">271</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">292</span> An Assessment of Tai Chi Exercise on Cognitive Performance in Vietnamese Older Adults</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hung%20Manh%20Nguyen">Hung Manh Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duong%20Dai%20Nguyen"> Duong Dai Nguyen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Objective: To evaluate the effects of Tai Chi exercise on cognitive performance of community-dwelling elderly in Vinh city, Vietnam. The ambiguity resolution method is an adaptive implementation of the coincidence algorithm, which is implemented on a two-dimensional (2D) range-velocity matrix to resolve range and velocity ambiguities simultaneously, with a proposed clustering filter to enhance the anti-error ability of the system. Here we consider the scenario of multiple target environments. The ghost target removal process, which is based on the power after Doppler processing, is proposed to mitigate ghosting detections to enhance the performance of ground-based radars using a short PRF schedule in multiple target environments. Simulation results on a ground-based pulsed Doppler radar model will be presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ambiguity%20resolution" title="ambiguity resolution">ambiguity resolution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=coincidence%20algorithm" title=" coincidence algorithm"> coincidence algorithm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=medium%20PRF" title=" medium PRF"> medium PRF</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ghosting%20removal" title=" ghosting removal"> ghosting removal</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/154205/ambiguity-resolution-for-ground-based-pulse-doppler-radars-using-multiple-medium-pulse-repetition-frequency" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/154205.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">151</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">290</span> Some Observations on the Preparation of Zinc Hydroxide Nitrate Nanoparticles</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Krasimir%20Ivanov">Krasimir Ivanov</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Elitsa%20Kolentsova"> Elitsa Kolentsova</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Nguyen"> Nguyen Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Alexander%20Peltekov"> Alexander Peltekov</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Violina%20Angelova"> Violina Angelova</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The nanosized zinc hydroxide nitrate has been recently estimated as perspective foliar fertilizer, which has improved zinc solubility, but low phytotoxicity, in comparison with ZnO and other Zn containing compounds. The mechanism of this disease is a failure of hepatic excretion of copper to the bile, and it leads to copper deposits in the liver and other organs. Most clinical symptoms of Wilson’s disease can present as liver disease and/or neurologic disease. Objective: The goal of the study is prenatal diagnosis for pregnant women at high risk of Wilson’s disease in Northern Vietnam. Material and method: Three probands with clinically diagnosed liver disease were detected in the mutations of 21 exons and exon-intron boundaries of the ATP7B gene by direct Sanger-sequencing. Prenatal diagnoses were performed by amniotic fluid sampling from pregnant women in the 16th-18th weeks of pregnancy after the genotypes of parents with the probands were identified. Result: A total of three different mutations of the probands, including of S105*, P1052L, P1273G, were detected. Among three fetuses which underwent prenatal genetic testing, one fetus was homozygote; two fetuses were carriers. Conclusion: Genetic testing provided a useful method for prenatal diagnosis, and is a basis for genetic counseling. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ATP7B%20gene" title="ATP7B gene">ATP7B gene</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=genetic%20testing" title=" genetic testing"> genetic testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prenatal%20diagnosis" title=" prenatal diagnosis"> prenatal diagnosis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pedigree" title=" pedigree"> pedigree</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wilson%20disease" title=" Wilson disease"> Wilson disease</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58248/application-of-atp7b-gene-mutation-analysis-in-prenatal-diagnosis-of-wilsons-disease" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58248.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">455</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">288</span> Enhancing the Stability of Vietnamese Power System - from Theory to Practical</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Edwin%20Lerch">Edwin Lerch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dirk%20Audring"> Dirk Audring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Cuong%20Nguyen%20Mau"> Cuong Nguyen Mau</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duc%20Ninh%20Nguyen"> Duc Ninh Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=The%20Cuong%20Nguyen"> The Cuong Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=The%20Van%20Nguyen"> The Van Nguyen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The National Load Dispatch Centre of Electricity Vietnam (EVNNLDC) and Siemens PTI investigated the stability of the electrical 500/220 kV transportation system of Vietnam. The general scope of the investigations is improving the stability of the Vietnam power system and giving the EVNNLDC staff the capability to decide how to deal with expected stability challenges in the future, which are related to the very fast growth of the system. Rapid system growth leads to a very high demand of power transmission from North to South. This was investigated by stability studies of interconnected power system with neighboring countries. These investigations are performed in close cooperation and coordination with the EVNNLDC project team. This important project includes data collection, measurement, model validation and investigation of relevant stability phenomena as well as training of the EVNNLDC staff. Generally, the power system of Vietnam has good voltage and dynamic stability. The main problems are related to the longitudinal system with more power generation in the North and Center, especially hydro power, and load centers in the South of Vietnam. Faults on the power transmission system from North to South risks the stability of the entire system due to a high power transfer from North to South and high loading of the 500 kV backbone. An additional problem is the weak connection to Cambodia power system which leads to interarea oscillations mode. Therefore, strengthening the power transfer capability by new 500kV lines or HVDC connection and balancing the power generation across the country will solve many challenges. Other countermeasures, such as wide area load shedding, PSS tuning and correct SVC placement will improve and stabilize the power system as well. Primary frequency reserve should be increased. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dynamic%20power%20transmission%20system%20studies" title="dynamic power transmission system studies">dynamic power transmission system studies</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=blackout%20prevention" title=" blackout prevention"> blackout prevention</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20system%20interconnection" title=" power system interconnection"> power system interconnection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stability" title=" stability"> stability</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58895/enhancing-the-stability-of-vietnamese-power-system-from-theory-to-practical" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58895.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">359</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">287</span> Comparison between Continuous Genetic Algorithms and Particle Swarm Optimization for Distribution Network Reconfiguration</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Linh%20Nguyen%20Tung">Linh Nguyen Tung</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anh%20Truong%20Viet"> Anh Truong Viet</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nghien%20Nguyen%20Ba"> Nghien Nguyen Ba</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chuong%20Trinh%20Trong"> Chuong Trinh Trong</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper proposes a reconfiguration methodology based on a continuous genetic algorithm (CGA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) for minimizing active power loss and minimizing voltage deviation. Its expensive computational cost encouraged many researchers to improve the speed of the algorithm. Recent works proposed schemes that work on parallel computing platforms such as CUDA. However, the problem of low convergence speed prevents the usage of GraphCut for real time applications. In this paper, we propose global suppression heuristic to boost the conver-gence process of the algorithm. A parallel implementation of GraphCut algorithm on CUDA designed for the image stitching problem is introduced. Our method achieves up to 3× time boost on the graph of size 80 × 480 compared to the best sequential GraphCut algorithm while achieving satisfactory stitched images, suitable for panorama applications. To achieve above results we carry out a progression following: Firstly, the input images are preprocessed with the aim to enhance key information of circumscribed masses; Next, we calculate and evaluate statistically basic features of abnormal regions on training database; Then, mammograms on testing database are divided into equal blocks which calculated corresponding features. Finally, using priority order of basic features to classify blocks as an abnormal or normal regions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mammograms" title="mammograms">mammograms</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=circumscribed%20masses" title=" circumscribed masses"> circumscribed masses</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=evaluated%20statistically" title=" evaluated statistically"> evaluated statistically</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=priority%20order%20of%20basic%20features" title=" priority order of basic features"> priority order of basic features</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/48163/using-priority-order-of-basic-features-for-circumscribed-masses-detection-in-mammograms" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/48163.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">334</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">283</span> The Photon-Drag Effect in Cylindrical Quantum Wire with a Parabolic Potential </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hoang%20Van%20Ngoc">Hoang Van Ngoc</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Thu%20Huong"> Nguyen Thu Huong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nguyen%20Quang%20Bau"> Nguyen Quang Bau</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Using the quantum kinetic equation for electrons interacting with acoustic phonon, the density of the constant current associated with the drag of charge carriers in cylindrical quantum wire by a linearly polarized electromagnetic wave, a DC electric field and a laser radiation field is calculated. The mechanism of this disease is the failure of hepatic excretion of copper to bile, and leads to copper deposits in the liver and other organs. The <em>ATP7B</em> gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 13 (13q14.3). This study aimed to investigate the gene mutation in the Vietnamese patients with WD, and make a presymptomatic diagnosis for their familial members. Forty-three WD patients and their 65 siblings were identified as having <em>ATP7B</em> gene mutations. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples; 21 exons and exon-intron boundaries of the <em>ATP7B</em> gene were analyzed by direct sequencing. We recognized four mutations ([R723=; H724Tfs*34], V1042Cfs*79, D1027H, and IVS6+3A>G) in the sum of 20 detectable mutations, accounting for 87.2% of the total. Mutation S105* was determined to have a high rate (32.6%) in this study. The hotspot regions of <em>ATP7B</em> were found at exons 2, 16, and 8, and intron 14, in 39.6 %, 11.6 %, 9.3%, and 7 % of patients, respectively. Among nine homozygote/compound heterozygote siblings of the patients with WD, three individuals were determined as asymptomatic by screening mutations of the probands. They would begin treatment after diagnosis. In conclusion, 20 different mutations were detected in 43 WD patients. Of this number, four novel mutations were explored, including [R723=; H724Tfs*34], V1042Cfs*79, D1027H, and IVS6+3A>G. The mutation S105* is the most prevalent and has been considered as a biomarker that can be used in a rapid detection assay for diagnosis of WD patients. Exons 2, 8, and 16, and intron 14 should be screened initially for WD patients in Vietnam. Based on risk profile for WD, genetic testing for presymptomatic patients is also useful in diagnosis and treatment. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ATP7B%20gene" title="ATP7B gene">ATP7B gene</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mutation%20detection" title=" mutation detection"> mutation detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=presymptomatic%20diagnosis" title=" presymptomatic diagnosis"> presymptomatic diagnosis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vietnamese%20Wilson%E2%80%99s%20disease" title=" Vietnamese Wilson’s disease"> Vietnamese Wilson’s disease</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58250/mutation-analysis-of-the-atp7b-gene-in-43-vietnamese-wilsons-disease-patients" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58250.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">380</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">281</span> Study on Media Literacy and Its Role in Iranian Society (Case Study: Students of Mahmoudabad City)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Enayat%20Davoudi">Enayat Davoudi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper is about the study of media literacy and its role in Iranian society.
