宋体">教育信息技术学院成立于</span>2013年6月，其前身可追溯到1970年5月由华中师范学院物理系成立的“油膜光阀外光源大屏幕电视攻关组（简称：“攻关组”）。1985年6月经国家教委批准成立了华中师范学院电化教育系，1985年9月，在全国招收了首批电化教育专业本科生。1993年4月电化教育系更名为信息技术系。2012年5月，学校进行大改革，实行专业大调整，把信息技术系的电子信息工程专业（2001年开始招生本科专业）分离到物理学院，将信息技术系与文学院的新闻系整合成立信息与新闻传播学院。2013年6月，信息与新闻传播学院的新闻传播系分离独立建院，学院更名为教育信息技术学院。</span><span
