<t><p class="indent1">My <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>wound<MH2671> is incurable<MH605>, <i>though I am</i> without<MH1097> wrongdoing<MH6588>.’ <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“What<MH4310> man<MH1397> is like Job<MH347>, <t><p class="indent1">Who<MH4310> drinks<MH8354> up<MH8354> derision<MH3933> like water<MH4325>, <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Who goes<MH732> in company<MH2274> with the workers<MH6466> of injustice<MH205>, <t><p class="indent1">And walks<MH1980> with wicked<MH7562> people<MH376>? <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“For he has said<MH559>, ‘It is<MH5532a> of<MH5532a> no<MH3808> use<MH5532a> to a man<MH1397> <t><p class="indent1">When he becomes<MH7521> friends<MH7521> with God<MH430>.’ <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>“Therefore<MH3651>, listen<MH8085> to me, you men<MH376> of understanding<MH3824>. <t><p class="indent1">Far<MH2486> be it from God<MH410> to do<MH7562> evil<MH7562>, <t><p class="indent1">And from the Almighty<MH7706b> to do<MH5766> wrong<MH5766>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“For He repays<MH7999a> a person<MH120> for his work<MH6467>, <t><p class="indent1">And lets<MH4672> <i>things</i> happen<MH4672> in correspondence to a man’s <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>behavior<MH734>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“God<MH410> certainly<MH637, 551> will not act<MH7561> wickedly<MH7561>, <t><p class="indent1">And the Almighty<MH7706b> will not pervert<MH5791> justice<MH4941>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“Who<MH4310> gave<MH6485> Him authority<MH6485> over<MH5921> the earth<MH776>? <t><p class="indent1">And when He hides<MH5641> His face<MH6440>, who<MH4310> then can look<MH7789> at<MH7789> Him, <t><p class="indent1">That is, regarding<MH5921> both<MH3162> nation<MH1471> and a person<MH120>?— <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>“So<MH4480> that<MH4480> godless<MH2611> people<MH120> would not<MH4480> rule<MH4427a>, <t><p class="indent1">Nor<MH4480> be snares<MH4170> for the people<MH5971a>. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>“For has anyone said<MH559> to God<MH410>, <t><p class="indent1">‘I have endured<MH5375> <i>punishment;</i> <t><p class="indent1">I will not offend<MH2254b> <i>anymore;</i> <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/34-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>Teach<MH3384> me what I do not see<MH2372>; <t><p class="indent1">If<MH518> I have done<MH6466> wrong<MH5766>, <t><p class="indent1">I will not do<MH3254> it again<MH3254>’?
