Thereafter, an international project on technical and vocational education was initiated and the UNEVOC Network was officially launched in 1992.</p> <p>At the UNESCO General Conference in 1999, Member States passed a resolution to set up an international centre for TVET. The Government of Germany generously offered to host the centre in Bonn and the inauguration ceremony took place in April 2002. Since then, the <a href="https://www.unbonn.org" class=line1 target=_blank title="https://www.unbonn.org">UN presence in Bonn</a><img src="/pix/ext.png" width="12" height="12" border="0" hspace="4"/>
