and the LORD<MH3068> gave<MH5414> them to me. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Then I turned<MH6437> and came<MH3381> down<MH3381> from the mountain<MH2022>, and I put<MH7760> the tablets<MH3871> in the ark<MH727> which<MH834> I had made<MH6213a>; and they are there<MH8033>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> commanded<MH6680> me.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>(Now the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> set<MH5265> out<MH5265> from <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>Beeroth<MH885> Bene-jaakan<MH885> to Moserah<MH4149>. There<MH8033> Aaron<MH175> died<MH4191> and there<MH8033> he was buried<MH6912>, and his son<MH1121> Eleazar<MH499> served<MH3547> as<MH3547> priest<MH3547> in<MH8478> his place<MH8478>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>From there<MH8033> they set<MH5265> out<MH5265> to Gudgodah<MH1412>, and from Gudgodah<MH1412> to Jotbathah<MH3193>, a land<MH776> of streams<MH5158a> of water<MH4325>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>At that time<MH6256> the LORD<MH3068> singled<MH914> out<MH914> the tribe<MH7626> of Levi<MH3878> to carry<MH5375> the ark<MH727> of the covenant<MH1285> of the LORD<MH3068>, to stand<MH5975> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> to serve<MH8334> Him and to bless<MH1288> in His name<MH8034>, until<MH5704> this<MH2088> day<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Therefore<MH5921, 3651>, Levi<MH3878> does not have<MH1961> a portion<MH2506> or inheritance<MH5159> with his brothers<MH251>; the LORD<MH3068> is his inheritance<MH5159>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> your God<MH430> spoke<MH1696> to him.) <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>“I, moreover, stayed<MH5975> on the mountain<MH2022> for forty<MH705> days<MH3117> and forty<MH705> nights<MH3915> like the first<MH7223> time<MH3117>, and the LORD<MH3068> listened<MH8085> to me that time<MH6471> also<MH1571>; the LORD<MH3068> was<MH14> not willing<MH14> to destroy<MH7843> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>Then the LORD<MH3068> said<MH559> to me, ‘Arise<MH6965>, proceed<MH1980> on your journey<MH4550> ahead<MH6440> of the people<MH5971a>, so that they may go<MH935> in<MH935> and take<MH3423> possession<MH3423> of the land<MH776> which<MH834> I swore<MH7650> to their fathers<MH1> to give<MH5414> them.’ <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“And now<MH6258>, Israel<MH3478>, what<MH4100> does the LORD<MH3068> your God<MH430> require<MH7592> of you, but to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>fear<MH3372a> the LORD<MH3068> your God<MH430>, to walk<MH1980> in all<MH3605> His ways<MH1870> and love<MH157> Him, and to serve<MH5647> the LORD<MH3068> your God<MH430> with all<MH3605> your heart<MH3824> and with all<MH3605> your soul<MH5315>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/deuteronomy/10-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><i>and</i> to keep<MH8104> the LORD’S<MH3068> commandments<MH4687> and His statutes<MH2708> which<MH834> I am commanding<MH6680> you today<MH3117> for your good<MH2896b>?
