advancements in recent years. These advancements have revolutionized our understanding of life processes, disease mechanisms and even opened avenues for therapeutic interventions. This study, explores into some of the advanced <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/methods-in-molecular-biology-17054.html'>methods in molecular biology</a> that are moving innovations and reshaping the field.</p> <p><strong>Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats – Cas9 (CRISPR-Cas9) technology:</strong> One of the most important groundbreaking advancements in <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/molecular-biology-9790.html'>molecular biology</a> is the development of CRISPR-Cas9 technology. CRISPR Cas9 enzyme allows precise editing of DNA sequences. This technique has transformed genetic engineering, enabling studies to easily and accurately modify genes in various organisms. Its applications range from creating genetically modified organisms for agricultural purposes to potential gene therapies for genetic disorders [<a href="#1" title="1">1</a>].</p> <p><strong>Single-cell sequencing:</strong> Traditional sequencing methods analyze genetic material from a pool of cells, masking the inherent heterogeneity within tissues. Single-cell sequencing techniques have emerged to address this limitation, allowing researchers to study individual cells' genetic profiles. This technology provides insights into cell-to-cell variations, cellular diversity and complex biological processes like development, immune responses and disease progression. Single-cell sequencing holds assurance for personalized medicine by enabling the identification of rare cell populations and disease <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/biomarkers-52789.html'>biomarkers</a> [<a href="#2" title="2">2</a>].</p> <p><strong>Next Generation Sequencing (NGS):</strong> Next-generation sequencing technologies have significantly increased sequencing throughput and reduced costs compared to traditional Sanger sequencing. NGS allows rapid and <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/highthroughput-sequencing-3030.html'>high-throughput sequencing</a> of Deoxy Ribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) and Ribo Nucleic Acid (RNA) molecules, facilitating genome-wide analyses, metagenomics, transcriptomics and <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/epigenomics-29347.html'>epigenomics</a> studies. These advancements have accelerated genomic research, leading to the discovery of novel genes, regulatory elements and genetic variations associated with diseases.</p> <p><strong>Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM):</strong> Cryo-electron microscopy is revolutionizing <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/structural-biology-26.html'>structural biology</a> by providing high-resolution images of biological <a target='_blank' href='https://www.longdom.org/peer-reviewed-journals/macromolecules-2817.html'>macromolecules</a> in their native state. This technique involves flash-freezing samples in liquid nitrogen, preserving their structure and imaging them using an electron microscope.
