Report for Degree Apprenticeships </h2> <div class="newsItemAbstract"> <p>The University of Warwick has been rated as ‘Good’ in a recent Ofsted report, underscoring the University’s commitment to delivering high-quality and transformative degree apprenticeship programmes.<br /><br /><img src="https://warwick.ac.uk/newsandevents/pressreleases/240430_0514_hollis_tif_30054213016.jpg?maxWidth=396&maxHeight=264" alt="" style="margin: 5px;" align="left" border="0" />The inspection highlighted Warwick's dedication to fostering valuable learning experiences across its degree apprenticeships, which are provided by key departments including WMG, Warwick Medical School (WMS), the School of Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, and the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL).<br /><br />This full inspection was the first for degree apprenticeships at the University and follows on from the Outstanding rating for the University’s Centre for Teacher Education (CTE) in June 2024.<br /><br />This result reaffirms the University’s commitment to equipping apprentices with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, positioning them to succeed in their chosen careers.<br /><br />Warwick's collaborative, industry-driven approach was noted by the Ofsted inspectors, who found that the training offered aligns closely with local, regional and national skills shortages.<br /><br />Professor Emma Flynn, Provost at The University of Warwick, commended the work that contributed to this achievement. She said: "This Ofsted report is a testament to the dedication and collaboration among our teams and our academic departments.<br /><br />We’re committed to ensuring that our apprentices develop progressive, in-demand skills that lead to increased employment opportunities underpinned by Warwick’s world-leading teaching and education”.<br /><br /><img src="https://warwick.ac.uk/newsandevents/pressreleases/240430_0881_hollis_tif_30054214208.jpg" alt="" align="right" style="margin: 5px;" border="0" />The Ofsted report commended Warwick’s approach to degree apprenticeships, with particular emphasis on the university’s commitment to creating supportive, industry-integrated environments, providing a talent pipeline for employers and industries.<br /><br />Apprentices across sectors—ranging from engineering to healthcare—are prepared with hands-on, relevant training designed to meet the demands of their fields.<br /><br />Professor Lorenzo Frigerio, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), shared his pride in the ‘Good’ rating. He added: "This rating from Ofsted reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff.<br /><br />“We are committed to supporting the next generation, and this recognition underscores the impact we aim to make on education in the UK. I am proud of our team’s hard work and the inspiring results they achieve with our trainees."<br /><br />Warwick’s degree apprenticeships reflect a commitment to providing high-quality education and practical skills development.
