This team of 2025 Driskell Award winners began experimenting on-site in October 2024 with vocals, clarinet, field recordings, electronics, and sound sculpture prototypes. By January 2025, the trio collaborated with our team to install two tapestries, a sculpture, and a video that showcases the sounds and stories embedded within their materials. "Deity of the Circle" is both a multimedia installation* (running from February to May 2025) and a one-time performance on April 3. Through their exhibition and performance, the trio hybridizes new worship rituals for collectively grieving our historical traumas while illuminating the multidimensionality and timelessness of our human desire to connect with the past and future through cyclical time.
