style="white-space:pre-wrap;">LEAF was initiated in 1999 by the Forest in Schools programme in Norway, Sweden and Finland. In cooperation with the Foundation for Environmental Education, the programme rolled out globally in the spring of 2000. Today, these three founders still play a role in the LEAF organisation, by being part of the <a href="https://www.leaf.global/international-steering-committee" target="_blank">International Steering Committee</a>.  </p><p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The International LEAF Coordinator and FEE Head Office are responsible for the day-to-day management of the LEAF programme and its activities.
