These contemporary repositories <br>of knowledge appear as complex information systems, development and use of which <br>require the solution of many scientific, technological, methodological, economic, <br>legal and other issues. Alongside with textual and multimedia digital objects, <br>usual for traditional libraries, such systems have to deal with structured data, <br>with a great variety of digital objects of a various nature as well as with <br>metadata describing them. Challenges associated with the management of so diverse <br>information resources and the increasing variety of user needs invoke multitude <br>of advanced information system technologies and standards. Such technologies include <br>those developed for Semantic Web, data intensive sciences, Big Data to address <br>system interoperability, data parallel computing, data integration under conditions <br>of the rapidly increasing heterogeneity and volume of data. Innovations that enhance <br>the exchange of information with rich semantics are becoming the center of discussions <br>in the Digital Library community. <br> <br>The series of the All-Russian scientific conferences RCDL is presented on the <br>site http://rcdl.ru. The doctoral <br>workshop provides to the authors of papers selected on the basis of preliminary <br>reviewing, the opportunity to present current results of their research and <br>discuss their strengths and weaknesses with more experienced colleagues. <br> <br>CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS <br> <br>Conference Proceedings will be published as a collection of texts <br>of accepted full papers, short papers and abstracts of posters as well as <br>in electronic form on a permanent conference website http://rcdl.ru. <br>Full papers will be also published on the CEUR Workshop Proceedings repository, <br>to provide for better visibility of RCDL-2013 publications for the <br>international scientific community. <br> <br>PAPER SUBMISSION <br> <br>Working languages are Russian and English. Extended abstracts and papers can <br>be in any of them. The Program Committee expects the original papers, <br>not published earlier and having a research orientation. <br>It is strongly recommended that the languages of the paper and presentation <br>were different, it helps to follow the thread of speech to both Russian <br>and foreign participants. <br>Extended abstracts are to be presented to the Program Committee in <br>electronic form via the conference website in PDF or RTF. Volume <br>of extended abstracts may not be less than 2000 words. Abstracts should <br>provide a fairly complete picture of the paper content, include a list <br>of references and/or links to Internet resources. When submitting extended <br>abstracts, authors should specify to which of the basic topics of the <br>conference their papers are related. Several suitable areas listed <br>above in the conference topics can be specified simultaneously. <br>The selection of papers by the Conference Program Committee is <br>based on peer reviewing the texts of extended abstracts. The Program <br>Committee may accept the submission as a full paper, as a short paper (2000 - 3000 words) if it contains interesting results, but does not look sufficient for publication <br>as a full article, and as a poster. Accepted papers must be prepared in accordance <br>with the rules, which will be published on the conference website. <br>RCDL conferences hold face to face.
