if<MG1437> anyone<MG5100> enters<MG1525> through<MG1223> Me, he will be saved<MG4982>, and will go<MG1525, 1831> in<MG1525> and out<MG1831> and find<MG2147> pasture<MG3542>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>The thief<MG2812> comes<MG2064> only<MG3756, 1487, 3361> to steal<MG2813> and kill<MG2380> and destroy<MG622>; I came<MG2064> so<MG2443> that<MG2443> they would have<MG2192> life<MG2222>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>have<MG2192> <i>it</i> abundantly<MG4053>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“I am<MG1510> the good<MG2570> shepherd<MG4166>; the good<MG2570> shepherd<MG4166> lays<MG5087> down<MG5087> His life<MG5590> for the sheep<MG4263b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>He who is a hired<MG3411> hand<MG3411>, and not a shepherd<MG4166>, who<MG3739> is not the owner<MG2398> of the sheep<MG4263b>, sees<MG2334> the wolf<MG3074> coming<MG2064>, and leaves<MG863> the sheep<MG4263b> and flees<MG5343>; and the wolf<MG3074> snatches<MG726> them and scatters<MG4650> <i>the flock.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><i>He flees</i> because<MG3754> he is a hired<MG3411> hand<MG3411> and does not care<MG3199> about<MG4012> the sheep<MG4263b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>I am<MG1510> the good<MG2570> shepherd<MG4166>, and I know<MG1097> My own<MG1699>, and My own<MG1699> know<MG1097> Me, <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> the Father<MG3962> knows<MG1097> Me and I know<MG1097> the Father<MG3962>; and I lay<MG5087> down<MG5087> My life<MG5590> for the sheep<MG4263b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And I have<MG2192> other<MG243> sheep<MG4263b> that are not of this<MG3778> fold<MG833>; I must<MG1163> bring<MG71> them also<MG2548>, and they will listen<MG191> to My voice<MG5456>; and they will become<MG1096> one<MG1520> flock<MG4167>, <i>with</i> one<MG1520> shepherd<MG4166>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>For this<MG3778> reason<MG1223> the Father<MG3962> loves<MG25> Me, because<MG3754> I lay<MG5087> down<MG5087> My life<MG5590> so<MG2443> that<MG2443> I may take<MG2983> it back<MG3825>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>No<MG3762> one<MG3762> has taken<MG142> it away<MG142> from Me, but I lay<MG5087> it down<MG5087> on My own<MG1683>. I have<MG2192> authority<MG1849> to lay<MG5087> it down<MG5087>, and I have<MG2192> authority<MG1849> to take<MG2983> it back<MG3825>. This<MG3778> commandment<MG1785> I received<MG2983> from My Father<MG3962>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Dissension<MG4978> occurred<MG1096> again<MG3825> among<MG1722> the Jews<MG2453> because<MG1223> of these<MG3778> words<MG3056>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Many<MG4183> of them were saying<MG3004>, “He has<MG2192> a demon<MG1140> and is<MG3105> insane<MG3105>. Why<MG5101> do you listen<MG191> to Him?” <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>Others<MG243> were saying<MG3004>, “These<MG3778> are not the words<MG4487> of one who is demon-possessed<MG1139>. A demon<MG1140> cannot<MG1410, 3361> open<MG455> the eyes<MG3788> of those who are blind<MG5185>, can it?” <p class="hdg">Jesus Asserts His Deity</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>At that time<MG5119> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>Feast<MG1456> of<MG1456> the<MG1456> Dedication<MG1456> took<MG1096> place<MG1096> in Jerusalem<MG2414>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>it was winter<MG5494>, and Jesus<MG2424> was walking<MG4043> in the temple<MG2413> <i>area,</i> in the portico<MG4745> of Solomon<MG4672>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>The Jews<MG2453> then<MG3767> surrounded<MG2944> Him and <i>began</i> saying<MG3004> to Him, “How<MG2193> long<MG2193, 4219> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>will You keep<MG142> us in<MG5590, 142> suspense<MG5590, 142>? If<MG1487> You are the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>Christ<MG5547>, tell<MG3004> us plainly<MG3954>.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Jesus<MG2424> answered<MG611> them, “I told<MG3004> you, and you do not believe<MG4100>; the works<MG2041> that I do<MG4160> in My Father’s<MG3962> name<MG3686>, these<MG3778> testify<MG3140> of Me. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>But you do not believe<MG4100>, because<MG3754> you are not of My sheep<MG4263b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>My sheep<MG4263b> listen<MG191> to My voice<MG5456>, and I know<MG1097> them, and they follow<MG190> Me; <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>and I give<MG1325> them eternal<MG166> life<MG2222>, and they will never<MG3756, 3361> perish<MG622>; and no<MG3756> one<MG5100> will snatch<MG726> them out of My hand<MG5495>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>My Father<MG3962>, who<MG3739> has given<MG1325> <i>them</i> to Me, is greater<MG3173> than all<MG3956>; and no<MG3762> one<MG3762> is able<MG1410> to snatch<MG726> <i>them</i> out of the Father’s<MG3962> hand<MG5495>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>I and the Father<MG3962> are <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>one<MG1520>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>The Jews<MG2453> picked<MG941> up stones<MG3037> again<MG3825> to stone<MG3034> Him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>Jesus<MG2424> replied<MG611> to them, “I showed<MG1166> you many<MG4183> good<MG2570> works<MG2041> from the Father<MG3962>; for which<MG4169> of them are you stoning<MG3034> Me?” <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>The Jews<MG2453> answered<MG611> Him, “We are not stoning<MG3034> You for a good<MG2570> work<MG2041>, but for blasphemy<MG988>; and because<MG3754> You, being<MG1510> a man<MG444>, make<MG4160> Yourself<MG4572> <i>out to be</i> God<MG2316>.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>Jesus<MG2424> answered<MG611> them, “Has it not been<MG1510> written<MG1125> in your Law<MG3551>: ‘I SAID<MG3004>, YOU ARE GODS<MG2316>’? <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>If<MG1487> he called<MG3004> them gods<MG2316>, to whom<MG3739> the word<MG3056> of God<MG2316> came<MG1096> (and the Scripture<MG1124> cannot<MG1410, 3756> be nullified<MG3089>), <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/10-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span>are you saying<MG3004> of Him whom<MG3739> the Father<MG3962> sanctified<MG37> and sent<MG649> into the world<MG2889>, ‘You are blaspheming<MG987>,’ because<MG3754> I said<MG3004>, ‘I am<MG1510> the Son<MG5207> of God<MG2316>’?
