Thanks to the level of spirituality that the author was experiencing, he was able to go deep in order to redraw the boundaries of human life in view of its existence and status (life experiences, its end, and its fate). It is a text that is consistent with religious values and has a philosophical depth. This poem can be shared in official and unofficial meetings, during feasts, and during popular celebrations, such as circumcision ceremonies, marriage, and condolences. It has also the ability to draw attention and appeal to the listener and let him travel into the imaginary world. It is the text related to the story of "Ras b’nadem", or "the head of a man", or rather, a "human skull", for which only a few academic studies have been devoted, and there are two copies of it, one attributed to Lakhdar Ibn Khalouf as a matter of suspicion, while the other is attributed to Qadour Ibn Ashour Al-Zarhouni. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ras%20B%E2%80%99Nadam" title="ras B’Nadam">ras B’Nadam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ras%20al%20mahna" title=" ras al mahna"> ras al mahna</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lakhdar%20ibn%20khalouf" title=" lakhdar ibn khalouf"> lakhdar ibn khalouf</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=qadour%20ibn%20ashour" title=" qadour ibn ashour"> qadour ibn ashour</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sufism" title=" sufism"> sufism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=melhoun%20poetry" title=" melhoun poetry"> melhoun poetry</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=resistance%20poetry" title=" resistance poetry"> resistance poetry</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157764/the-popular-imagination-through-the-poem-of-ras-bnadam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157764.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">192</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">274</span> Assessing and Characterizing Cellulose Acetate Films Enhanced with Natural Compounds for Active Packaging Applications</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abderrahim%20Bouftou">Abderrahim Bouftou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kaoutar%20Aghmih"> Kaoutar Aghmih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatima%20Lakhdar"> Fatima Lakhdar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sa%C3%A2d%20Oukkass"> Saâd Oukkass</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sanaa%20Majid"> Sanaa Majid</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Biodegradable and renewable-based polymeric packaging like cellulose acetate (CA) is an alternative to petroleum-based polymers, in the way of low cost and also creates a positive outcome on both environmentally. The objective of the present research was to develop bioactive packaging films from cellulose acetate incorporated with a low-cost cypress essential oil (EO). We prepared cellulose acetate films via solvent casting method incorporating 0, 10, 30, and 60 % (w/w) of EO, with the purpose of evaluating the possible changes caused by the cypress essential oil on the properties of the packaging. The films were characterized using FTIR, TGA, XRD and other analysis technologies. The mechanical, antibacterial and antioxidant properties of the films were analyzed. FTIR and XRD analysis indicated that cypress EO was homogenously distributed on the film. Meanwhile, TGA analysis demonstrated that the addition of EO had an impact on thermal properties. The impact of EO on mechanical and optical properties was explored. The results displayed that antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus increased as cypress essential oil percentage increased in cellulose acetate films. Moreover, free radical scavenger activity by DPPH of cellulose acetate films improved by increasing the cypress essential oil concentration. These results indicate that the films of cellulose acetate containing cypress essential oil have potential for use as active packaging for foods. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cellulose%20acetate" title="cellulose acetate">cellulose acetate</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=essential%20oil" title=" essential oil"> essential oil</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=active%20packaging" title=" active packaging"> active packaging</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=antibacterial" title=" antibacterial"> antibacterial</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=antioxidant" title=" antioxidant"> antioxidant</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/174790/assessing-and-characterizing-cellulose-acetate-films-enhanced-with-natural-compounds-for-active-packaging-applications" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/174790.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">82</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">273</span> In Vitro Antifungal Activity of Essential Oil Artemisia Absinthium</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bouchenak%20Fatima">Bouchenak Fatima</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lmegharbi%20Abdelbaki"> Lmegharbi Abdelbaki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Houssem%20Degaichia"> Houssem Degaichia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benrebiha%20Fatima"> Benrebiha Fatima</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The essential oil composition of the leaf of Artemisia absinthium from region of Cherchell (The south of Algeria) was investigated by GC, GC-MS. 27 constituents were identified correspond to 84, 63% of the total oil. The major components are Thujone (60, 82%), Chamazulènel (16, 62%), ρ-cymène (4, 29%) and 2-carène (4.25%). The antimicrobial activity of oil was tested in vitro by two methods (agar diffusion and microdilution) on three plant pathogenic fungi. This oil has been tested for antimicrobial activity against three pathogenic fungi (Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium culmorum and Helminthosporium Sp.).The study of activity was evaluated by two methods: Method of diffusion in gelose and the minimum inhibitory concentration MIC. This oil exhibited an interesting antimicrobial activity. A preliminary study showed that this oil presented high toxicity against this fungus. Green practices might thus face companies’ reluctance because managers can consider its implementation obviously as a performance lean degradation. To implement lean and green practices successfully, companies need relevant decision-making tools to highlight the correlation between them. To contribute to this issue, this work tries to answer the following research question: How to use simulation to assess correlation (antagonism or convergence) between lean and green goals? To answer this question, we propose in this paper a based simulation process that measures correlation generally between two variables. So as to prove its relevance, a logistics academic case study is used to illustrate all its stages. It shows, as for example, that Lean goal 'Stock' and Green goal 'CO₂ emission' are not conceptually correlated (linearly). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=simulation" title="simulation">simulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lean" title=" lean"> lean</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=green" title=" green"> green</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supply%20chain" title=" supply chain"> supply chain</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/92960/simulating-lean-and-green-correlation-in-supply-chain-context" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/92960.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">500</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">271</span> Unequal Error Protection of VQ Image Transmission System </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Khelifi%20Mustapha">Khelifi Mustapha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A.%20Moulay%20lakhdar"> A. In addition, it appears that if a property can be calculated for a given lattice then it can be extrapolated simply to any other lattice belonging to the same dimensionality. In this study, we have restricted ourselves on the spectral power amplification (SPA), we note that the SPA does not have an effect on the critical exponents but does have an effect by the criticality temperature of the lattice; the generalisation to other lattice could be shown according to the containment principle. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ising%20model" title="ising model">ising model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phase%20transitions" title=" phase transitions"> phase transitions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=critical%20temperature" title=" critical temperature"> critical temperature</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=critical%20exponent" title=" critical exponent"> critical exponent</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spectral%20power%20amplification" title=" spectral power amplification"> spectral power amplification</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/64570/the-spectral-power-amplification-on-the-regular-lattices" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/64570.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">310</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">267</span> Nurses&#039; Knowledge and Attitudes toward the Use of Physical Restraints</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatema%20Salman">Fatema Salman</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ridha%20Hammam"> Ridha Hammam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatima%20Khairallah"> Fatima Khairallah</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatima%20Aradi"> Fatima Aradi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nafeesa%20Abdulla"> Nafeesa Abdulla</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohammed%20Alsafar"> Mohammed Alsafar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Purpose: This study aims at measuring the extent of nurses’ knowledge and attitudes toward the use of physical restraints in different hospital wards at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC). Background: The habitual use of physical restraint is a widespread practice among nurses working in the clinical settings. Restraints inflict many deleterious consequences on patients physically and psychologically which in turn increases their morbidity and mortality risk and jeopardizes care quality. Nurses’ knowledge and attitudes toward physical restraints are crucial determinants of the persistence of this practice. Literature review: the evidence of lack of knowledge among nurses regarding the use of physical restraints is overwhelming in various clinical settings, especially in two main areas which are the negative consequences and the available alternatives to physical restraints. Studies explored nurses’ attitudes toward physical restraints yielded inconsistent findings. Equally comparable, some studies found that nurses hold positive attitudes toward the use of physical restraints while some others reported just the opposite. Methods: Self-administered knowledge and attitudes scales to 106 nurses working in the SMC. Findings: nurses hold the moderate level of knowledge about restraints (M=58%) with weak negative attitudes (M = -20%) toward using it. Significant moderately-strong negative correlation (r= -0.57, r2= 0.32, p= 0.000) was uncovered between nurses knowledge and their attitudes which provided an empirical explanation of this phenomenon (use of physical restraints). Recommendations: Induction of awareness program that especially focuses on the negative consequences and encourages the use of alternatives is an evident need. This effort necessarily should be adjoined with policy and procedure adjustments. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=attitudes" title="attitudes">attitudes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=knowledge" title=" knowledge"> knowledge</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nurses" title=" nurses"> nurses</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=restraints" title=" restraints"> restraints</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/57820/nurses-knowledge-and-attitudes-toward-the-use-of-physical-restraints" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/57820.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">316</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">266</span> Power Consumption for Viscoplastic Fluid in a Rotating Vessel with an Anchor Impeller </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Draoui%20Belkacem">Draoui Belkacem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rahmani%20Lakhdar"> Rahmani Lakhdar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benachour%20Elhadj"> Benachour Elhadj</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Seghier%20Oussama"> Seghier Oussama</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Rheology is known to have a strong impact on the flow behavior and the power consumption of mechanically agitated vessels. The laminar 2D agitation flow and power consumption of viscoplastic fluids with an anchor impeller in a stirring tank is studied by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In this work the objective of this paper is: to evaluate the power consumption for yield stress fluids in standard mixing system. The power consumption is calculated for the different types of anchor impeller configurations and an optimum configuration is proposed. The hydrodynamic fields of incompressible yield stress fluid with model of Bingham in a cylindrical vessel not chicaned equipped with anchor stirrer was undertaken by means of numerical simulation. The flow structures, and especially the effect of inertia, the plasticity and the yield stress, are discussed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rheology" title="rheology">rheology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=2D" title=" 2D"> 2D</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=numerical" title=" numerical"> numerical</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=anchor" title=" anchor"> anchor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rotating%20vissel" title=" rotating vissel"> rotating vissel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=non-Newtonien%20fluid" title=" non-Newtonien fluid "> non-Newtonien fluid </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20884/power-consumption-for-viscoplastic-fluid-in-a-rotating-vessel-with-an-anchor-impeller" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20884.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">520</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">265</span> Comparison Between PID and PD Controllers for 4 Cable-Based Robots</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fouad%20Inel">Fouad Inel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lakhdar%20Khochemane"> Lakhdar Khochemane</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This article presents a comparative response specification performance between two controllers of three and four cable based robots for various applications. In the modeling of complex structures by finite elements, various elements can be used: beam element, membrane element, solid element, plates and shells elements. These elements formulated according to the classical formulation and do not generally share the same nodal degrees of freedom, which complicates the development of a compatible model. The compatibility of the elements with each other is often a difficult problem for modeling complicated structure. This compatibility is necessary to ensure the convergence. To overcome this problem, we have proposed finite elements with a rotational degree of freedom. The study used is based on the strain approach formulation with 2D and 3D formulation with different degrees of freedom at each node. For the comparison and confrontation of results; the finite elements available in ABAQUS/Standard are used. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=compatibility%20requirement" title="compatibility requirement">compatibility requirement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=complex%20structures" title=" complex structures"> complex structures</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=finite%20elements" title=" finite elements"> finite elements</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=modeling" title=" modeling"> modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=strain%20approach" title=" strain approach"> strain approach</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34144/modeling-of-complex-structures-shear-wall-with-openings-and-stiffened-shells" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34144.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">443</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">261</span> A Dam Break Analysis Using MIKE11</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oussama%20Derdous">Oussama Derdous</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lakhdar%20Djemili"> Lakhdar Djemili</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hamza%20Bouchahed"> Hamza Bouchahed</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The consequences of a dam breach can be devastating; both in terms of lives lost and damaged infrastructure and property. Hydraulic modeling provides a clear picture of the possible consequences of partial or complete failure of a dam, which is the key to carry out emergency planning and conduct reliable risk assessments. In this paper, the MIKE11 model developed by the Danish Hydrologic Institute (DHI) was used to simulate the flood wave propagation associated with a potential failure analysis failure of Zardezas dam located in the city of Skikda in the North East of Algeria. MIKE11 results including inundation maps and the representative channel/valley cross-sections depicting flow depth and maximal flow velocities showed that Zardezas reservoir presents a significant risk to downstream areas in the event of a dam failure. These results can be used as the basis of the development of an Emergency Action Plan (EAP).The main objective of this plan is to predict the appropriate steps to avoid or at least decrease the consequences of unexpected failure of Zardezas dam. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MIKE11" title="MIKE11">MIKE11</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dam%20break" title=" dam break"> dam break</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inundation%20maps" title=" inundation maps"> inundation maps</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emergency%20action%20plan" title=" emergency action plan"> emergency action plan</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/9525/a-dam-break-analysis-using-mike11" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/9525.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">463</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">260</span> Dambreak Flood Analysis Using HEC-RAS and GIS Technologies</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oussama%20Derdous">Oussama Derdous</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lakhdar%20Djemili"> Lakhdar Djemili</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hamza%20Bouchehed"> Hamza Bouchehed </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The potential risks associated with dam break flooding could be considerable and result in major damage, including loss of life and property destruction. In the past, Algeria experienced such flood disasters; let’s recall the failure of Fergoug dam in 1881, this accident cost 200 lives, many houses and bridges were destroyed by the flooding. Recently the Algerian government have obligated to dam owners the development of detailed dam break Emergency Action Plans for its 64 major dams. The research presented here was conducted within this framework, Zardezas dam which is located in the city of Skikda in the North East of Algeria was the case of study. The model HEC-RAS was used for the hydrodynamic routing of the dam break flood wave. In addition, Geographic Information System (GIS) was used to create inundation maps and produce a visualization of the flood propagation in the Saf-Saf River. The simulation results that demonstrate the significance of Zardezas dam break flooding; constitute a real tool for developing emergency response plans and assisting territorial communities in land use planning. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dam%20break" title="dam break">dam break</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HEC-RAS" title=" HEC-RAS"> HEC-RAS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=GIS" title=" GIS"> GIS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inundation%20maps" title=" inundation maps"> inundation maps</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Emergency%20Action%20Plan" title=" Emergency Action Plan "> Emergency Action Plan </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/9527/dambreak-flood-analysis-using-hec-ras-and-gis-technologies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/9527.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">395</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">259</span> Environmental Quality in Urban Areas: Legal Aspect and Institutional Dimension: A Case Study of Algeria </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Youcef%20Lakhdar%20Hamina">Youcef Lakhdar Hamina</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In order to tame the ecological damage specificity, it is imperative to assert the procedural and objective liability aspect, which leads us to analyse current trends based on the development of preventive civil liability based on the precautionary principle. In our approach, a polyphase filter is used to obtain the four 90&deg; phase shift outputs to feed a square microstrip patch antenna. The antenna can be switched between four states of polarization in transmission as well as in receiving mode. Switches are interconnected with the polyphase filter network to produce left-hand circular polarization, right-hand circular polarization, horizontal linear polarization, and vertical linear polarization. Additional advantage of using polyphase filter is its filtering capability for cross polarization filtering in right-hand circular polarization and left-hand circular polarization operation. The theoretical and simulated results demonstrated that polyphase filter is a good candidate to drive microstrip patch antenna to accomplish polarization diversity and cross polarization filtering operation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=active%20antenna" title="active antenna">active antenna</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=polarization%20diversity" title=" polarization diversity"> polarization diversity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=patch%20antenna" title=" patch antenna"> patch antenna</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=polyphase%20filter" title=" polyphase filter"> polyphase filter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59013/a-reconfigurable-microstrip-patch-antenna-with-polyphase-filter-for-polarization-diversity-and-cross-polarization-filtering-operation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59013.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">411</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">257</span> A Thorough Analysis on The Dialog Application Replika</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Weeam%20Abdulrahman">Weeam Abdulrahman</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gawaher%20Al-Madwary"> Gawaher Al-Madwary</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatima%20Al-Ammari"> Fatima Al-Ammari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Razan%20Mohammad"> Razan Mohammad</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This research discusses the AI features in Replika which is a dialog with a customized characters application, interaction and communication with AI in different ways that is provided for the user. spreading a survey with questions on how the AI worked is one approach of exposing the app to others to utilize and also we made an analysis that provides us with the conclusion of our research as a result, individuals will be able to try out the app. In the methodology we explain each page that pops up in the screen while using replika and Specify each part and icon. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Replika" title="Replika">Replika</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=AI" title=" AI"> AI</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=artificial%20intelligence" title=" artificial intelligence"> artificial intelligence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dialog%20app" title=" dialog app"> dialog app</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145068/a-thorough-analysis-on-the-dialog-application-replika" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145068.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">176</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">256</span> An Efficient Design of Static Synchronous Series Compensator Based Fractional Order PID Controller Using Invasive Weed Optimization Algorithm</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdelghani%20Choucha">Abdelghani Choucha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lakhdar%20Chaib"> Lakhdar Chaib</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Salem%20Arif"> Salem Arif</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper treated the problem of power system stability with the aid of Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) installed in the transmission line of single machine infinite bus (SMIB) power system. This is mainly achieved by using high cutting speed and feed rates. Elevated temperatures in the cutting zone under these conditions shorten tool life and adversely affect the dimensional accuracy and surface integrity of component. Thus it is necessary to find optimum cutting conditions (cutting speed, feed rate, machining environment, tool material and geometry) that can produce components in accordance with the project and having a relatively high production rate. Response surface methodology is a collection of mathematical and statistical techniques that are useful for modelling and analysis of problems in which a response of interest is influenced by several variables and the objective is to optimize this response. The work presented in this paper examines the effects of cutting parameters (cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut) on to the surface roughness through the mathematical model developed by using the data gathered from a series of milling experiments performed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Statistical%20analysis%20%28RSM%29" title="Statistical analysis (RSM)">Statistical analysis (RSM)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bearing%20steel" title=" Bearing steel"> Bearing steel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Coating%20inserts" title=" Coating inserts"> Coating inserts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tool%20life" title=" Tool life"> Tool life</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Surface%20Roughness" title=" Surface Roughness"> Surface Roughness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=End%20milling." title=" End milling."> End milling.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21079/statistical-analysis-of-surface-roughness-and-tool-life-using-rsm-in-face-milling" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21079.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">432</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">253</span> An Efficient Stud Krill Herd Framework for Solving Non-Convex Economic Dispatch Problem</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bachir%20Bentouati">Bachir Bentouati</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lakhdar%20Chaib"> Lakhdar Chaib</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saliha%20Chettih"> Saliha Chettih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gai-Ge%20Wang"> Gai-Ge Wang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The problem of economic dispatch (ED) is the basic problem of power framework, its main goal is to find the most favorable generation dispatch to generate each unit, reduce the whole power generation cost, and meet all system limitations. A heuristic algorithm, recently developed called Stud Krill Herd (SKH), has been employed in this paper to treat non-convex ED problems. The proposed KH has been modified using Stud selection and crossover (SSC) operator, to enhance the solution quality and avoid local optima. We are demonstrated SKH effects in two case study systems composed of 13-unit and 40-unit test systems to verify its performance and applicability in solving the ED problems. In the above systems, SKH can successfully obtain the best fuel generator and distribute the load requirements for the online generators. The results showed that the use of the proposed SKH method could reduce the total cost of generation and optimize the fulfillment of the load requirements. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stud%20krill%20herd" title="stud krill herd">stud krill herd</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=economic%20dispatch" title=" economic dispatch"> economic dispatch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crossover" title=" crossover"> crossover</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stud%20selection" title=" stud selection"> stud selection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=valve-point%20effect" title=" valve-point effect"> valve-point effect</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78035/an-efficient-stud-krill-herd-framework-for-solving-non-convex-economic-dispatch-problem" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78035.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">198</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">252</span> Integration of a Load Switch with DC/DC Buck Converter for Power Distribution in Low Cost Educational Nanosatellite</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bentoutou%20Houari">Bentoutou Houari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Boutte%20Aissa"> Boutte Aissa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Belaidi%20El%20Yazid"> Belaidi El Yazid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Limam%20Lakhdar"> Limam Lakhdar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The integration of a load switch with a DC/DC buck converter using LM2596 for power distribution in low-cost educational nanosatellites is a technique that aims to efficiently manage the power distribution system in these small spacecraft. The converter is based on the LM2596 regulator and designed to step down the input voltage of +16.8V to +12V, +5V, and +3.3V output, which are suitable for the nanosatellite's various subsystems. The load switch is based on MOSFET and is used to turn on or off the power supply to a particular load and protect the nanosatellite from power surges. A prototype of a +12V DC/DC buck converter with a high side load switch has been realized and tested, which meets our requirements and shows a good efficiency of 89%. In addition, the prototype features a capacitor between the source and gate of the MOSFET, which has effectively reduced the inrush current, demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach in reducing surges of current when the load is connected. The output current and voltage were measured at 0.7A and 11.89V, respectively, making this design suitable for use in low-cost educational nanosatellites. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DC%2FDC%20buck%20converter" title="DC/DC buck converter">DC/DC buck converter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=load%20switch" title=" load switch"> load switch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LM2596" title=" LM2596"> LM2596</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electrical%20power%20subsystems" title=" electrical power subsystems"> electrical power subsystems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nanosatellite" title=" nanosatellite"> nanosatellite</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inrush%20current" title=" inrush current"> inrush current</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166405/integration-of-a-load-switch-with-dcdc-buck-converter-for-power-distribution-in-low-cost-educational-nanosatellite" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/166405.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">101</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">251</span> Women Education in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nuzhat%20Fatima">Nuzhat Fatima</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This is very misleading conception that Islam is the religion of terrorists or terrorism. The governing equations were solved in a non-uniform unstructured grid by employing the Galerkin finite element method using the software COMSOL Multiphysics. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of Rayleigh number (103 < Ra < 105), the position of the obstacle, which is located in three different positions (center, bottom, and top side ), and the effect of Nanoparticles volume concentration (0 < Ø < 0.2) on the thermal behavior inside the enclosure, The results are reported as contours of isotherms, streamlines, and average Nusselt numbers. The obtained results illustrate that the increase in the Rayleigh number (Ra) and the Nanoparticles concentration ( Ø ) leads to an increase in the Nusselt number (Nu average ) that signifies the rate of heat transfer in the studied enclosure, in addition to the best performance observed with the position of obstacle that is located at the middle of the enclosure, where has a high effect in improving the heat transfer along the enclosure comparatively with the rest different positions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=natural%20convection" title="natural convection">natural convection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nanofluid%20%28water-Cu%29" title=" nanofluid (water-Cu)"> nanofluid (water-Cu)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hexagonal%20enclosure" title=" hexagonal enclosure"> hexagonal enclosure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nusselt%20numbers" title=" Nusselt numbers"> Nusselt numbers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rayleigh%20number" title=" Rayleigh number"> Rayleigh number</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161401/analysis-of-natural-convection-within-a-hexagonal-enclosure-full-with-nanofluid-water-cu-under-effect-of-the-position-of-the-inner-obstacle" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161401.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">90</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">248</span> The Role of Innovative Marketing on Achieving Quality in Petroleum Company</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Malki%20Fatima%20Zahra%20Nadia">Malki Fatima Zahra Nadia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kellal%20Chaimaa"> Kellal Chaimaa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Brahimi%20Houria"> Brahimi Houria</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The following research aims to measure the impact of innovative marketing in achieving product quality in the Algerian Petroleum Company. Finally, implications and recommendations were drawn. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=classroom" title="classroom">classroom</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=discourse" title=" discourse"> discourse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=learning" title=" learning"> learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=student" title=" student"> student</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=strategies" title=" strategies"> strategies</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=communication" title=" communication"> communication</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/22918/classroom-discourse-and-english-language-teaching-issues-importance-and-implications" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/22918.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">607</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">246</span> Characterization of the in 0.53 Ga 0.47 as n+nn+ Photodetectors</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatima%20Zohra%20Mahi">Fatima Zohra Mahi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luca%20Varani"> Luca Varani</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We present an analytical model for the calculation of the sensitivity, the spectral current noise and the detectivity for an optically illuminated In0.53Ga0.47As n+nn+ diode. The photocurrent due to the excess carrier is obtained by solving the continuity equation. Moreover, the current noise level is evaluated at room temperature and under a constant voltage applied between the diode terminals. The analytical calculation of the current noise in the n+nn+ structure is developed. The responsivity and the detectivity are discussed as functions of the doping concentrations and the emitter layer thickness in one-dimensional homogeneous n+nn+ structure. <p
