Through a series of open calls, interested parties can apply to implement a selection of current tools and methods and receive financial support to enable their participation. We aim to support around 50 organisations over the life of the project ensuring that different domains, geographic areas and stakeholder groups are represented.</p> <p><a href="https://fair-impact.eu/">Visit the FAIR-IMPACT to find out more</a></p> <h2>Skills4EOSC</h2> <p>Skills4EOSC ‘<strong>Skills for the European Open Science commons: creating a training ecosystem for Open and FAIR science</strong>’ is funded by the European Commission Horizon Europe programme (GA 101058527). Coordinated by Consortium GARR and supported by 44 partners in 18 European countries, Skills4EOSC will set up a pan-European network of competence centres to speed up the training of European researchers and harmonise the training of new professional figures for scientific data management.</p> <p><a href="https://www.skills4eosc.eu/">Read the Skills4EOSC publication</a><a href="https://www.dcc.ac.uk/biblio/d61-mapping-existing-professional-networks"> - Mapping of existing professional networks</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.skills4eosc.eu/">Visit the Skills4EOSC website</a></p> <h2>Fostering FAIR Data Practices in Europe (FAIRsFAIR) </h2> <p>FAIRsFAIR - Fostering Fair Data Practices in Europe - aims to supply practical solutions for the use of the FAIR data principles throughout the research data life cycle. Emphasis is on fostering FAIR data culture and the uptake of good practices in making data FAIR. FAIRsFAIR will play a key role in the development of global standards for FAIR certification of repositories and the data within them contributing to those policies and practices that will turn the EOSC programme into a functioning infrastructure.</p> <p>In the end, FAIRsFAIR will provide a platform for using and implementing the FAIR principles in the day to day work of European research data providers and repositories. FAIRsFAIR will also deliver essential FAIR dimensions of the Rules of Participation (RoP) and regulatory compliance for participation in the EOSC. The EOSC governance structure will use these FAIR aligned RoPs to establish whether components of the infrastructure function in a FAIR manner.</p> <p><a href="https://www.dcc.ac.uk/publications/research-publications?f%5Bkeyword%5D=15">Read our FAIRsFAIR publications</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.fairsfair.eu/">Visit FAIRsFAIR website</a></p> <h2>FAIR4Health</h2> <p>Being able to freely reuse and/or share sensitive data has always posed unique barriers in the burgeoning communities of FAIR and open research. Specifically, health research has had to contend with issues surrounding data that could identify individuals – how could such data be shared? The DCC is one of 17 partners across Europe that forms the EU H2020 funded project FAIR4Health. Its objective is to address reuse of health research data through establishing FAIRification guidelines that can be adopted at the EU level and beyond. The project also aims to establish a technical platform upon which these goals can be achieved. Community building is a big part of the project and the DCC, with its diverse and extensive list of contacts, is leading this aspect of the project while also utilising its strong presence in the RDA to further this aim. The RDA community is also being consulted with the ambition to produce an output that will be a set of guidelines that can be adopted by the global health research community. FAIR4Health is a 3 year funded project and will end in Dec 2020.</p> <p><a href="https://www.fair4health.eu">Visit page</a></p> <h2>RDA Europe 4.0</h2> <p>Research Data Alliance (RDA) is an international organisation focused on the development of infrastructure and community activities to promote data sharing at an international level. It is a neutral global forum. RDA Europe is the European plug-in to the global initiative. RDA 4.0 is a project funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 programme. It is a 27-month project, due to end in May-June 2020. It will build on previous. The main scope of the project is to become the centerpiece for an EU Open Science Strategy by putting in place a network of national nodes which carry out specific operational activities and act as national champions for their respective region.</p> <p><a href="https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/777388">Visit page</a></p> <h2>OpenAIRE-Advance</h2> <p>OpenAIRE-Advance continues the mission of OpenAIRE to support the Open Access/Open Data mandates in Europe.
