Normal dash and n-dash look practically identical in some fonts, especially the monospaced editing font. The MOS requires n-dashes for numerical ranges. I find it impossible to verify if a ndash has been used by simple inspection in editing mode if &ndash; has been replaced by the unicode character. They appear absolutely identically to the reader, which is why there is no requirement that one or the other be used. One minor thing, though, I spotted a typo. Where De la Rey's forces are depicted it says "c. 200-3000", but it should be "c. 2000-3000". In regards to the re-org: looks fine. I've taken out the third level headings now, though, as they didn't seem necessary when they were below second level headings. Finally, I'm just wondering if I should try to work in Pakenham and Wilcox before taking to GAN. Fairly sure that those works are considered pretty definitive for the topic, so it might be considered a failing not to include them. I'll order them from the library next week and once I've worked them in, look to nominate for GAN. What do you think? It was created a little while ago by Deathlibrarian. I'm a bit concerned that some of the text that they added is too closely paraphrased from the NSW Lancers Museum site, so I'm trying to rework it (I've listed my concerns on the talk page). However, I'm also in the process of trying to expand it. I've added a background and aftermath, and begun expanding the first of four sections. In terms of sources, I only have Dexter at the moment, though, but really need Johnston's <i>The Magnificent 9th</i> and Coates' <i>Bravery Above Blunder</i>. I think you have both of these, don't you? Anyway, if you are keen to work together, please take a look. If you maybe wanted to work on one of the middle sections (e.g. "Horace's Ears" or "Kalung Lakes"), you could rewrite the paraphrased sections, injecting Johnston and Coates, while I work on writing the two unwritten sections using Dexter. Once you've done your two sections, you could then work in Johnston and Coates into my two sections ("Nongora-Christmas Hill" and "Drive on Kuanko and Wareo"). Also, I'm trying to hunt around for images, but to be honest I'm not sure I can be bothered any more given the whole Commons issue. There is so much written on the battle that writting an article which summarises the bulk of the literature is tricky without being verbose (at least for me).
