You have no idea what a pleasant surprise it was for us to discover that there is a freemium prodact that complies with all our needs. We are a small startup that cannot afford spending top dollars on project management, and we are so thankful Zoho Projects exists! You'd probably be interested to know it supports both kanban and waterfall styled management, meaning you can coordinate projects with the teams you've chosen. We use it to allocate tasks, manage milestones, and mostly to track bugs. All features are unbelievable! </p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The notification thing has not been thought about carefully, but this is more of a consideration. I guess, if pushed, I would say the calendar feature and the forum features are interesting but by no means makes up for the lack of features overall of Zoho Project. We are a small to medium business that recently, and regrettably, transitioned from Harvest to Zoho. There is quite a gap in pricing between the two platforms but you get what you pay for, mainly how many users you have. Zoho Project feels more like a bata test platform, then an actual product that should be live and used by any business. If you are doing very basic project management, like planning a wedding or a home renovation this tool would be good for you. But why would you pay for it when you can get any template on-line for free. The only other "pros" I could manage to list is their support. They have a help representative chat feature which is good and they are responsive. Unfortunately for them and mean most of it was used to inform me that "that feature is currently not available". </p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Does not integrate with Quickbooks. Cannot add basic client contact information. Can't view all invoices that are due or in draft form (they force you to use another one of their clunky platforms). The Zoho Dashboard is terribly unhelpful and uninformative. You cannot run basic reports like; time reports for team members across projects, expenses, invoiced projects, etc. You can't even simply alphabetize Client Users, so as you add clients they are sorted by when you entered them, only. You can only export information in one format and the reports provide very little (helpful) information; for example if you want to export your Clients. The report that is generated only provides the internal Client ID#, Name, User Name, Email Address, Role, Invoice. It does not provide State/End Dates, what Projects are associated with Clients, any Budget information, and so on, and so on. Invoice, Expense, and Time information are shown and available only through each individual Project. You cannot see all invoices due, total amount outstanding, time sheets, across Projects and Clients. You are forced to click into each individual project to access that information and once again, the reports you are able to generate are very limited. It has all the functionality required without getting into any over-developed intricacies seen in some software. You get to make customized forms for any task or project. You'll be updated with unpaid and paid hours thanks to its pre-installed timetable. You can also editing on any doc in real-time. It's a bit hard adding employess to a number of projects at the same time. The UI is super-friendly. It gives a wide range of choices so you won't be led to doing things the wrong way. At the same time, you can manage things well to keep things at optimal performance.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Certain small UI issues are spotted in the Chrome browser. This needs to be fixed badly. For instance, when you try opening the bug view, and re-sizing the chrome browser, the view would somehow go missing. It's very much layered with a ton of features. These include tasks, groups, projects, and etc. I like how it's easy enough for anyone to learn and getting their way around the software. It'd be nice to bring doc folders and certain users whenever I'm putting up a new product. When that fails, at least I can carry user groups so it'd be possible to include the whole team for a single project at the same time. Keeping time spent for a planned duration of a task under the Different Chart where I can look into the progress of the current project I'm working on is great. I can take the necessary actions needed.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> From time to time, it would run really slow. Some users may find this a little annoying. This is particulary true for some users who really don't have the patience to do things with their software. The same goes for sending out alerts to more than one person. It's an excellent product for any team who lack a reliable ticketing system. You can easily follow a ticket to be updated as it migrates its way to colleagues.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Its lacking the funtionality of copying a project so that other users can be in the same page. It would be great if they have that ability. It's never a good idea to come up with a new one from scratch and then re-adding each person. You have no idea what a pleasant surprise it was for us to discover that there is a freemium prodact that complies with all our needs. We are a small startup that cannot afford spending top dollars on project management, and we are so thankful Zoho Projects exists! You'd probably be interested to know it supports both kanban and waterfall styled management, meaning you can coordinate projects with the teams you've chosen. We use it to allocate tasks, manage milestones, and mostly to track bugs. All features are unbelievable! </p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The notification thing has not been thought about carefully, but this is more of a consideration. You can get where you want with a single click, without bothering to go back through all the steps you've already made. Features are amazing, and so are choices-the program is really focused on optimal performance, and that's what I like the most. They are working rapidly and devotedly to introduce new features, and they always have few positive surprises for you in the sleeve.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I have minor UI concerns when it comes to accessing it through Chrome, but nothing that cannot be solved. For instance, resizing the browser windows makes the bug view disappear, and you have to start all over. Besides, everything is good. If we ought to discuss appeal, I'd say there is room to make the interface more graphically pleasant, or at least more customizable. The same applies for sending out alerts to more than one person at the same time. It's an awesome product for a team who lack a fully functioning ticketing system. You follow a ticket in acquiring updatese as makes it way along with other co-workers.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Making it possible to copy a project. That way, other users can also be in it. It'd be nice to have something like that. I admire the streamlined project set-up, and the efficiency of time and bug tracking. We were comparing tools for quite a while, and the thing that led us to Zoho Projects were recurring tasks (I don't think you'll find them in any similar program!), as they are compulsory for our business. </p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> See, setting up new products is good, but it depends how deep you wanna dive. I have my dislikes regarding templates, carrying document folders and involving key users. Obviously, if you can't import users you can't have the entire team on board, and that's a disaster. Adding users is actually a disaster itself, especially if you have 100 projects and multiple user to add to each, as I do. Alphabetic order is simply non-existent. I guess, if pushed, I would say the calendar feature and the forum features are interesting but by no means makes up for the lack of features overall of Zoho Project. We are a small to medium business that recently, and regrettably, transitioned from Harvest to Zoho. There is quite a gap in pricing between the two platforms but you get what you pay for, mainly how many users you have. Zoho Project feels more like a bata test platform, then an actual product that should be live and used by any business. If you are doing very basic project management, like planning a wedding or a home renovation this tool would be good for you. But why would you pay for it when you can get any template on-line for free. The only other "pros" I could manage to list is their support. They have a help representative chat feature which is good and they are responsive. Unfortunately for them and mean most of it was used to inform me that "that feature is currently not available". </p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Does not integrate with Quickbooks. Cannot add basic client contact information. Can't view all invoices that are due or in draft form (they force you to use another one of their clunky platforms). The Zoho Dashboard is terribly unhelpful and uninformative. You cannot run basic reports like; time reports for team members across projects, expenses, invoiced projects, etc. You can't even simply alphabetize Client Users, so as you add clients they are sorted by when you entered them, only. You can only export information in one format and the reports provide very little (helpful) information; for example if you want to export your Clients. The report that is generated only provides the internal Client ID#, Name, User Name, Email Address, Role, Invoice. It does not provide State/End Dates, what Projects are associated with Clients, any Budget information, and so on, and so on. Invoice, Expense, and Time information are shown and available only through each individual Project. You cannot see all invoices due, total amount outstanding, time sheets, across Projects and Clients. You are forced to click into each individual project to access that information and once again, the reports you are able to generate are very limited.
