and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>this <i>is</i> not of yourselves<MG4771>, <i>it is</i> the gift<MG1435> of God<MG2316>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>not a result<MG1537> of works<MG2041>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> no<MG3361> one<MG5100> may boast<MG2744>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>For we are His workmanship<MG4161>, created<MG2936> in Christ<MG5547> Jesus<MG2424> for good<MG18> works<MG2041>, which<MG3739> God<MG2316> prepared<MG4282> beforehand<MG4282> so<MG2443> that<MG2443> we would walk<MG4043> in them. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>Therefore<MG1352> remember<MG3421> that previously<MG4218> you, the Gentiles<MG1484> in the flesh<MG4561>, who are called<MG3004> “Uncircumcision<MG203>” by the so-called<MG3004> “Circumcision<MG4061>” <i>which is</i> performed<MG5499> in the flesh<MG4561> by<MG5499> human<MG5499> hands<MG5499>— <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><i>remember</i> that you were at that time<MG2540> separate<MG5565> from Christ<MG5547>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>excluded<MG526> from <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>the people<MG4174> of Israel<MG2474>, and strangers<MG3581> to the covenants<MG1242> of the promise<MG1860>, having<MG2192> no<MG3361> hope<MG1680> and without<MG112> God<MG112> in the world<MG2889>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>But now<MG3570> in Christ<MG5547> Jesus<MG2424> you who<MG3739> previously<MG4218> were far<MG3112> away<MG3112> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>have been<MG1096> brought<MG1096> near<MG1451> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>by the blood<MG129> of Christ<MG5547>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>For He Himself<MG846> is our peace<MG1515>, who made<MG4160> both<MG297> <i>groups into</i> one<MG1520> and broke<MG3089> down<MG3089> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>barrier<MG5418> of the dividing<MG3320> wall<MG3320>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ephesians/2-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>by abolishing<MG2673> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>in His flesh<MG4561> the hostility<MG2189b>, <i>which is</i> the Law<MG3551> <i>composed</i> of commandments<MG1785> <i>expressed</i> in ordinances<MG1378>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> in Himself<MG846> He might <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>make<MG2936> the two<MG1417> one<MG1520> new<MG2537> person<MG444>, <i>in this way</i> establishing<MG4160> peace<MG1515>;
