and they will inherit their land, on the other side Jordan from the rising of the sun, from the torrent Arnon, even to the mountain Hermon, and all the desert from the sunrising: <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>Sihon, king of the Amorites, dwelling in Heshbon, he ruled from Aroer, which is upon the lip of the torrent Arnon, and between the torrent and half Gilead, and even to the torrent Jabbok, the boundary of the sons of Ammon; <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>And the desert even to the sea of Cinneroth from the sunrising, and even to the sea of the desert, the salt sea, from the sunrising, the way of the house of Jeshimoth; and from the south under the ravines of Pisgah: <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>And the bound of Og, king of Bashan, being left of the Rephaims dwelling in Aahtaroth and in Edrei, <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>And he ruled in mount Hermon and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, even to the bound of Geshurite and the Maachathite and half Gilead, the bound of Sihon, king of Heshbon. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Moses the servant of Jehovah, and the sons of Israel, smote them: and Moses the servant of Jehovah will give it a possession to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh.<p> <A name="8"></a><p class="hdg">The Kings Defeated West of the Jordan<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/joshua/12-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And these the kings of the land which Joshua smote, and the sons of Israel, on the other side Jordan to the sea, from lord Gad in the plain of Lebanon, and even to the smooth mountain going up to Seir;
