of two different plants sage (Salvia officinalis) and American paper (Schinus molle) with they’re full dose and half dose, on a black bean aphid populations (Aphis fabae) on a bean crop planted in pots at semi-controlled conditions. Five formulations were achieved (Met, Fd, F1/2d, Sd et S1/2d) and tested on six blocks each one contained six pots. This study revealed that four (04) formulations exercised an influence over black bean aphid (Met, Fd, F1/2d, Sd), of which Metarhizium marked the most elevated and aggressive toxicity with an efficiency of 99,24%, however, sage formulation with the half dose (S1/2d ) marked a weak toxicity with an efficiency of 18%. Test of Metarhizium anisopliae on bees didn’t show toxicity, and no mortality has been marked, and no trace of green Muscardine observed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Metarhizium%20anisopliae" title="Metarhizium anisopliae">Metarhizium anisopliae</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=salvia%20officinalis" title=" salvia officinalis"> salvia officinalis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Schinus%20molle" title=" Schinus molle"> Schinus molle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aphis%20fabae" title=" Aphis fabae"> Aphis fabae</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=efficiency%20degree" title=" efficiency degree"> efficiency degree</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15071/impact-of-a-biopesticide-formulated-an-entomopathogenic-fungus-metarhizium-anisopliae-et-abstracts-of-two-different-plants-sage-salvia-officinalis-and-american-paper-schinus-molle-on-aphis-fabae-homoptera-aphididae" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15071.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">372</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">28</span> Resistance to Change as a Lever of Innovation: Case of Tangier, Tetouan and Hoceima Region, Morocco</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jihane%20Abdessadak">Jihane Abdessadak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Achelhi"> Hicham Achelhi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kamal%20Reklaoui"> Kamal Reklaoui</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> For any company or organization, change must be natural and binding in order to evolve its business, protect its durability and remain competitive. These models, Which can be used directly in the time and frequency domains, take into account the presence of both the transfer impedance and admittance. The conducted susceptibility is studied by using an injection current on the cable shield as the source. Two examples are studied, a coaxial shielded cable and shielded cables with two parallel wires (i.e., twinax cables). This shield has an asymmetry (one slot on the side). Results obtained by these models are in good agreement with those obtained by other methods. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=circuit%20models" title="circuit models">circuit models</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multiconductor%20shielded%20cables" title=" multiconductor shielded cables"> multiconductor shielded cables</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Branin%E2%80%99s%20method" title=" Branin’s method"> Branin’s method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=coaxial%20shielded%20cable" title=" coaxial shielded cable"> coaxial shielded cable</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=twinax%20cables" title=" twinax cables "> twinax cables </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/25541/circuit-models-for-conducted-susceptibility-analyses-of-multiconductor-shielded-cables" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/25541.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">516</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25</span> Cyber Attacks Management in IoT Networks Using Deep Learning and Edge Computing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Asmaa%20El%20Harat">Asmaa El Harat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Toumi%20Hicham"> Toumi Hicham</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Youssef%20Baddi"> Youssef Baddi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This survey delves into the complex realm of Internet of Things (IoT) security, highlighting the urgent need for effective cybersecurity measures as IoT devices become increasingly common. The governing equations are solved numerically using the finite-volume. Results are presented in the form of streamlines, isotherms, and average Nusselt number. In addition, a parametric study is carried out to examine explicitly the volume fraction effects of nanoparticles (Ψ= 0.1, 0.2), the Rayleigh number (Ra=103, 104, 105, 106),the inclination angle of the cavity( égale à 0°, 30°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°), types of temperature (constant ,random), types of (NF) (Ag andTiO2). The results reveal that (NPs) addition remarkably enhances heat transfer in the cavity especially for (Ψ= 0.2). Besides, the effect of inclination angle and type of temperature is more pronounced at higher Rayleigh number. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nanofluid" title="nanofluid">nanofluid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=natural%20convection" title=" natural convection"> natural convection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inclined%20cavity" title=" inclined cavity"> inclined cavity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=random%20temperature" title=" random temperature"> random temperature</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=finite-volume" title=" finite-volume"> finite-volume</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45433/numerical-study-of-natural-convection-heat-transfer-performance-in-an-inclined-cavity-nanofluid-and-random-temperature" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45433.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">287</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">22</span> The Impact of Karst Structures on the Urban Environment in Semi-Arid Area</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benhammadi%20Hocine">Benhammadi Hocine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chaffai%20Hicham"> Chaffai Hicham</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Urban development is often dependent on adequate land for expansion, except that sometimes these areas have vulnerability. This is the case of karst regions characterized by carbonate geological formations marked by the presence of cavities and cracks. The impact of climate variability in Cheria area marked by a growing shortage of rainfall, the impact resulted in the development of the vulnerability of these structures. This vulnerability has led to the appearance of collapse phenomena as well in both agricultural and urban areas. Two phenomena have emerged to explain the collapses, the first is assigned a filling process in the cavities, and the second is due to a weakening of the resistance that collapses limestone slab shear phenomenon. In urban areas, the weight of the buildings has increased the load on the limestone slab and accelerated the collapse. The analysis of the environmental process is in the context of our modest work, after which we indicate the appropriate methods for management policy of urban expansion. This management more preventive (upstream), much less expensive than remedial solutions (downstream) needed after the event and sometimes ineffective. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Cheria" title="Cheria">Cheria</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=urban" title=" urban"> urban</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=climate%20variability" title=" climate variability"> climate variability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=vulnerability%20karst%20collapse" title=" vulnerability karst collapse"> vulnerability karst collapse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=extension" title=" extension"> extension</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=management" title=" management"> management</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/23603/the-impact-of-karst-structures-on-the-urban-environment-in-semi-arid-area" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/23603.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">468</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">21</span> Multisignature Schemes for Reinforcing Trust in Cloud Software-As-A-Service Services</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mustapha%20Hedabou">Mustapha Hedabou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20Azougaghe"> Ali Azougaghe</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmed%20Bentajer"> Ahmed Bentajer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Boukhris"> Hicham Boukhris</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mourad%20Eddiwani"> Mourad Eddiwani</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zakaria%20Igarramen"> Zakaria Igarramen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Software-as-a-service (SaaS) is emerging as a dominant approach to delivering software. It encompasses a range of business, technical opportunities, issue, and challenges. Trustiness in the cloud services regarding the security and the privacy of the delivered data is the most critical issue with the SaaS model. In this paper, we survey the security concerns related to the SaaS model, and we propose the design of a trusted SaaS model that gives users more confidence into SaaS services by leveraging a trust in a neutral source code certifying authority. The proposed design is based on the use of the multisignature mechanism for signing the source code of the application service. In our model, the cloud provider acts as a root of trust by ensuring the integrity of the application service when it was running on its platform. The proposed design prevents insider attacks from tampering with application service before and after it was launched in a cloud provider platform. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cloud%20computing" title="cloud computing">cloud computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SaaS%20Platform" title=" SaaS Platform"> SaaS Platform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TPM" title=" TPM"> TPM</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=trustiness" title=" trustiness"> trustiness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=code%20source%20certification" title=" code source certification"> code source certification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multi-signature%20schemes" title=" multi-signature schemes"> multi-signature schemes</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/74689/multisignature-schemes-for-reinforcing-trust-in-cloud-software-as-a-service-services" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/74689.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">275</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">20</span> The Dynamics of Algeria’s Natural Gas Exports to Europe: Evidence from ARDL Bounds Testing Approach with Breakpoints</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Benamirouche">Hicham Benamirouche</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oum%20Elkheir%20Moussi"> Oum Elkheir Moussi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purpose of the study is to examine the dynamics of Algeria’s natural gas exports through the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach with break points. The analysis was carried out for the period from 1967 to 2015. Based on imperfect substitution specification, the ARDL approach reveals a long-run equilibrium relationship between Algeria’s Natural gas exports and their determinant factors (Algeria’s gas reserves, Domestic gas consumption, Europe’s GDP per capita, relative prices, the European gas production and the market share of competitors). All the long-run elasticities estimated are statistically significant with a large impact of domestic factors, which constitute the supply constraints. In short term, the elasticities are statistically significant, and almost comparable to those of the long term. Furthermore, the speed of adjustment towards long-run equilibrium is less than one year because of the little flexibility of the long term export contracts. Two break points have been estimated when we employ the domestic gas consumption as a break variable; 1984 and 2010, which reflect the arbitration policy between the domestic gas market and gas exports. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=natural%20gas%20exports" title="natural gas exports">natural gas exports</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=elasticity" title=" elasticity"> elasticity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ARDL%20bounds%20testing" title=" ARDL bounds testing"> ARDL bounds testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=break%20points" title=" break points"> break points</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Algeria" title=" Algeria"> Algeria</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82749/the-dynamics-of-algerias-natural-gas-exports-to-europe-evidence-from-ardl-bounds-testing-approach-with-breakpoints" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82749.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">199</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">19</span> Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in the Supply Chain: Impact on Customer Satisfaction</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Amine">Hicham Amine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdelouahab%20Mesnaoui"> Abdelouahab Mesnaoui</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Electronic data interchange EDI is the computer-to-computer exchange of structured business information. This information typically takes the form of standardized electronic business documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading, and so on. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact EDI might have on supply chain and typically on customer satisfaction keeping in mind the constraints the organization might face. This study included 139 subject matter experts (SMEs) who participated by responding to a survey that was distributed. 85% responded that they are extremely for the implementation while 10% were neutral and 5% were against the implementation. From the quality assurance department, we have got 75% from the clients agreed to move on with the change whereas 10% stayed neutral and finally 15% were against the change. From the legal department where 80% of the answers were for the implementation and 10% of the participants stayed neutral whereas the last 10% were against it. The survey consisted of 40% male and 60% female (sex-ratio (F/M=1,5), who had chosen to participate. Our survey also contained 3 categories in terms of technical background where 80% are from technical background and 15% were from nontechnical background and 5% had some average technical background. This study examines the impact of EDI on customer satisfaction which is the primary hypothesis and justifies the importance of the implementation which enhances the customer satisfaction. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20data%20interchange" title="electronic data interchange">electronic data interchange</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supply%20chain" title=" supply chain"> supply chain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=subject%20matter%20experts" title=" subject matter experts"> subject matter experts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=customer%20satisfaction" title=" customer satisfaction"> customer satisfaction</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15468/electronic-data-interchange-edi-in-the-supply-chain-impact-on-customer-satisfaction" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15468.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">340</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">18</span> Comparison of the Effect of Two Rootstocks Citrus Macrophylla and Citrus Volkameriana on Water Productivity of Citrus “Orogrande” Under Three Irrigation Doses</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Elomari">Hicham Elomari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Absa%20Fall"> Absa Fall</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Taoufiq%20Elkrochni"> Taoufiq Elkrochni</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This present work mainly concerns the improvement of citrus water productivity in the Souss Massa region. The objective is to evaluate the effect of deficit irrigation applied during the fruit growth stage on fruit size, quality and yield of the Orogrande variety grafted on Citrus macrophylla and Citrus volkameriana. Three irrigation regimes were adopted, a control D0 of 3.6 l/h and two doses D1 (58% D0 =2.1 l/h) and D2 (236% D0 =8.5 l/h). The experimental design was a randomized complete block while keeping the same spacing between drippers, the same duration of irrigation and the beginning of trials (fruit growth stage). Results showed that at the end of the cycle from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, a total water supply of 732 mm and 785 mm using the D1 dose was provided to trees of Orogrande variety, respectively grafted on Citrus macrophylla and Citrus volkameriana rootstocks. Citrus macrophylla presented largest fruit size of 38 mm compared to Citrus volkameriana (33mm) with a significant difference. Total soluble sugar (8°Brix) and juice content level (40%) were higher with the application of the D1 dose on both rootstocks. Yield of 36 Tons was not affected by the deficit irrigation. Reduction of water supply by 18% increases agronomic productivity (6 MAD/m³) and economic productivity (3 MAD/m³). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=citrus" title="citrus">citrus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=irrigation" title=" irrigation"> irrigation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fruit%20size" title=" fruit size"> fruit size</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fruit%20quality" title=" fruit quality"> fruit quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=yield" title=" yield"> yield</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/178789/comparison-of-the-effect-of-two-rootstocks-citrus-macrophylla-and-citrus-volkameriana-on-water-productivity-of-citrus-orogrande-under-three-irrigation-doses" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/178789.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">65</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">17</span> Influence of Cation Substitution on Magnetic Transitions and Ordering in La2NixCo1-xMnO6 Compounds (x = 0.2 - 0.8)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amine.Harbia">Amine.Harbia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham.%20Moutaabbidb"> Hicham. Utilizing X-ray powder diffraction and SQUID magnetometry, we analyzed the compounds that consistently exhibit a monoclinic structure with the P21/n space group at ambient temperature. it findings reveal that as Ni2+ is progressively substituted by Co2+, there is a corresponding decrease in cell parameters, attributable to the smaller ionic radius of Ni2+ (0.69 Å) compared to Co2+ (0.74 Å). The crystal structure features octahedrally coordinated (Co/Ni)2+ and Mn4+ cations with oxygen, forming (Co/Ni)O6 and MnO6 octahedra linked via oxygen atoms along different crystallographic axes. Magnetic characterization conducted over a temperature range of 2 to 300 K in both DC and AC magnetic fields, showed a predominant paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition between 232 K and 260 K, with the Curie temperature notably increasing with higher x values. Samples with x=0.2, 0.25, and 0.5 exhibited a secondary PM-FM transition between 200 K and 208 K. Cation ordering was quantitatively assessed, indicating a higher ordering in Ni2+-rich samples (x=0.75 and 0.8) at over 96%, whereas the sample with x=0.25 showed minimal ordering. Furthermore, the out-of-phase component of the AC susceptibility displayed frequency-dependent transitions between 65 K and 110 K, suggesting the presence of superparamagnetic domains across all samples. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=double%20perovskite%20oxides" title="double perovskite oxides">double perovskite oxides</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20transitions" title=" magnetic transitions"> magnetic transitions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cation%20ordering" title=" cation ordering"> cation ordering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=squid%20magnetometry" title=" squid magnetometry"> squid magnetometry</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186377/influence-of-cation-substitution-on-magnetic-transitions-and-ordering-in-la2nixco1-xmno6-compounds-x-02-08" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186377.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">57</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">16</span> Estimation of the Road Traffic Emissions and Dispersion in the Developing Countries Conditions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Gourgue">Hicham Gourgue</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmed%20Aharoune"> Ahmed Aharoune</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmed%20Ihlal"> Ahmed Ihlal</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We present in this work our model of road traffic emissions (line sources) and dispersion of these emissions, named DISPOLSPEM (Dispersion of Poly Sources and Pollutants Emission Model). In its emission part, this model was designed to keep the consistent bottom-up and top-down approaches. It also allows to generate emission inventories from reduced input parameters being adapted to existing conditions in Morocco and in the other developing countries. While several simplifications are made, all the performance of the model results are kept. A further important advantage of the model is that it allows the uncertainty calculation and emission rate uncertainty according to each of the input parameters. In the dispersion part of the model, an improved line source model has been developed, implemented and tested against a reference solution. It provides improvement in accuracy over previous formulas of line source Gaussian plume model, without being too demanding in terms of computational resources. In the case study presented here, the biggest errors were associated with the ends of line source sections; these errors will be canceled by adjacent sections of line sources during the simulation of a road network. In cases where the wind is parallel to the source line, the use of the combination discretized source and analytical line source formulas minimizes remarkably the error. Because this combination is applied only for a small number of wind directions, it should not excessively increase the calculation time. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=air%20pollution" title="air pollution">air pollution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dispersion" title=" dispersion"> dispersion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emissions" title=" emissions"> emissions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=line%20sources" title=" line sources"> line sources</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=road%20traffic" title=" road traffic"> road traffic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=urban%20transport" title=" urban transport"> urban transport</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43382/estimation-of-the-road-traffic-emissions-and-dispersion-in-the-developing-countries-conditions" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43382.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">442</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">15</span> Numerical Analysis of the Aging Effects of RC Shear Walls Repaired by CFRP Sheets: Application of CEB-FIP MC 90 Model</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yeghnem%20Redha">Yeghnem Redha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Guerroudj%20Hicham%20Zakaria"> Guerroudj Hicham Zakaria</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hanifi%20Hachemi%20Amar%20Lemiya"> Hanifi Hachemi Amar Lemiya</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Meftah%20Sid%20Ahmed"> Meftah Sid Ahmed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tounsi%20Abdelouahed"> Tounsi Abdelouahed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adda%20Bedia%20El%20Abbas"> Adda Bedia El Abbas</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Creep deformation of concrete is often responsible for excessive deflection at service loads which can compromise the performance of elements within a structure. Although laboratory test may be undertaken to determine the deformation properties of concrete, these are time-consuming, often expensive and generally not a practical option. Therefore, relatively simple empirically design code models are relied to predict the creep strain. This paper reviews the accuracy of creep and shrinkage predictions of reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls structures strengthened with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets, which is characterized by a widthwise varying fibre volume fraction. This review is yielded by CEB-FIB MC90 model. The time-dependent behavior was investigated to analyze their static behavior. In the numerical formulation, the adherents and the adhesives are all modelled as shear wall elements, using the mixed finite element method. Several tests were used to dem¬onstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method. Numerical results from the present analysis are presented to illustrate the significance of the time-dependency of the lateral displacements. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RC%20shear%20walls%20strengthened" title="RC shear walls strengthened">RC shear walls strengthened</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CFRP%20sheets" title=" CFRP sheets"> CFRP sheets</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=creep%20and%20shrinkage" title=" creep and shrinkage"> creep and shrinkage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CEB-FIP%20MC90%20model" title=" CEB-FIP MC90 model"> CEB-FIP MC90 model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=finite%20element%20method" title=" finite element method"> finite element method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=static%20behavior" title=" static behavior"> static behavior</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51255/numerical-analysis-of-the-aging-effects-of-rc-shear-walls-repaired-by-cfrp-sheets-application-of-ceb-fip-mc-90-model" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51255.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">309</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14</span> Surface Modified Quantum Dots for Nanophotonics, Stereolithography and Hybrid Systems for Biomedical Studies</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Redouane%20Krini">Redouane Krini</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lutz%20Nuhn"> Lutz Nuhn</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20El%20Mard%20Cheol%20Woo%20Ha"> Hicham El Mard Cheol Woo Ha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yoondeok%20Han"> Yoondeok Han</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kwang-Sup%20Lee"> Kwang-Sup Lee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dong-Yol%20Yang"> Dong-Yol Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jinsoo%20Joo"> Jinsoo Joo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rudolf%20Zentel"> Rudolf Zentel</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> To use Quantum Dots (QDs) in the two photon initiated polymerization technique (TPIP) for 3D patternings, QDs were modified on the surface with photosensitive end groups which are able to undergo a photopolymerization. We were able to fabricate fluorescent 3D lattice structures using photopatternable QDs by TPIP for photonic devices such as photonic crystals and metamaterials. The QDs in different diameter have different emission colors and through mixing of RGB QDs white light fluorescent from the polymeric structures has been created. Metamaterials are capable for unique interaction with the electrical and magnetic components of the electromagnetic radiation and for manipulating light it is crucial to have a negative refractive index. In combination with QDs via TPIP technique polymeric structures can be designed with properties which cannot be found in nature. This makes these artificial materials gaining a huge importance for real-life applications in photonic and optoelectronic. Understanding of interactions between nanoparticles and biological systems is of a huge interest in the biomedical research field. We developed a synthetic strategy of polymer functionalized nanoparticles for biomedical studies to obtain hybrid systems of QDs and copolymers with a strong binding network in an inner shell and which can be modified in the end through their poly(ethylene glycol) functionalized outer shell. These hybrid systems can be used as models for investigation of cell penetration and drug delivery by using measurements combination between CryoTEM and fluorescence studies. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biomedical%20study%20models" title="biomedical study models">biomedical study models</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lithography" title=" lithography"> lithography</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=photo%20induced%20polymerization" title=" photo induced polymerization"> photo induced polymerization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20dots" title=" quantum dots"> quantum dots</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/28367/surface-modified-quantum-dots-for-nanophotonics-stereolithography-and-hybrid-systems-for-biomedical-studies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/28367.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">526</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13</span> The Role of Leukocyte-Derived IL-10 on Postoperative ileus and Intestinal Macrophage Differentiation in Mice</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kathy%20Stein">Kathy Stein</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mariola%20Lysson"> Mariola Lysson</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anja%20Schmidt"> Anja Schmidt</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Beatrix%20Schumak"> Beatrix Schumak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sabine%20Specht"> Sabine Specht</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Bouabe"> Hicham Bouabe</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=J%C3%BCrgen%20Heesemann"> Jürgen Heesemann</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Axel%20Roers"> Axel Roers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Joerg%20C.%20Kalff"> Joerg C. Monocyte infiltration is a hallmark of POI. The polarization of macrophages/monocytes in this process is not well understood. We aimed to investigate if and how M2 macrophage/monocyte differentiation is involved in POI pathogenesis. Design: POI was induced by intestinal manipulation (IM). C57Bl/6, CCR2-/-, IL-10 reporter (ITIB), IL-10-/- and LysMcre/IL-10fl/fl mice underwent IM. At various points in time leukocyte influx, gene and protein expression of cytokines, chemokines and M2 differentiation markers and intestinal motility were analyzed. Results: IM induced the postoperative expression of the M2 markers Arginase-1 and YM-1, predominantly in F4/80+Ly6C+ monocytes. Gene expression analyses indicated an IL-10-dependent, IL-4-independent M2 polarization of these monocytes. IL-10 dependency of M2 differentiation was confirmed in IL-10 deficient mice. Leukocytes, in the order of infiltrating monocytes, neutrophils, and resident macrophages were the main IL-10 producers during POI. IL-10 producing monocytes as well as M2 marker expression were almost absent in CCR2-deficient mice. However, postoperative IL-10 expression was not altered in CCR2-/- mice. The loss of M2 polarized monocytes neither protected CCR2-/- mice from nor affected resolution of POI. In contrast, IL-10 deficiency reduced postoperative neutrophil numbers and ameliorated POI. IL-10Ra expression was strongly induced in neutrophils but not in monocytes. Conclusion: We conclude that IL-10 counteracts POI resolution by activating IL-10Ra-expressing neutrophils in the late phase of disease while IL-10-dependent M2 differentiation is not pivotal to POI manifestation and resolution. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interleukin-10" title="interleukin-10">interleukin-10</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=macrophages" title=" macrophages"> macrophages</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=neutrophils" title=" neutrophils"> neutrophils</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=postoperative%20ileus" title=" postoperative ileus"> postoperative ileus</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60378/the-role-of-leukocyte-derived-il-10-on-postoperative-ileus-and-intestinal-macrophage-differentiation-in-mice" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60378.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">355</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12</span> Geophysical Approach in the Geological Characterization of a Dam Site: Case of the Chebabta-Dam, Meskiana, Oum El-Bouaghi</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benhammadi%20Hocine">Benhammadi Hocine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Djamel%20Boubaya"> Djamel Boubaya</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chaffai%20Hicham"> Chaffai Hicham</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Meskiana Area is characterized by a semi-arid climate where the water supply for irrigation and industry is not sufficient as the priority goes for domestic use. To meet the increasing population growth and development, the authorities have considered building a new water retaining structure on some major temporary water streams. For this purpose Chebabta site on Oued Meskiana was chosen as the future dam site. It is large enough to store the desired volume of water. This study comes to investigate the conditions of the site and the adequacy of the ground as a foundation for the projected dam. The conditions of the site include the geological structure and mainly the presence of discontinuities in the formation on which the dam will be built, the nature of the lithologies under the foundation and the future lake, and the presence of any hazard. This site characterization is usually carried out using different methods in order to highlight any underground buried problematic structure. In this context, the different geophysical technics remain the most used ones. Three geophysical methods were used in the case of the Chebabta dam site, namely, electric survey, seismic refraction, and tomography. The choice of the technics and the location of the scan line was made on the basis of the available geological data. In this sense, profiles have been established on both banks of Oued Meskiana. The obtained results have allowed a better characterization of the geological structure, defining the limit between the surface cover and the bedrock, which is, in other words, the limit between the weathered zone and the bedrock. Their respective thicknesses were also determined by seismic refraction and electrical resistivity sounding. However, the tomography imaging technic has succeeded in positioning a fault structure passing through the right bank of the wadi. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dam%20site" title="dam site">dam site</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fault" title=" fault"> fault</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=geophysic" title=" geophysic"> geophysic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=investigation" title=" investigation"> investigation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Meskiana" title=" Meskiana"> Meskiana</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160184/geophysical-approach-in-the-geological-characterization-of-a-dam-site-case-of-the-chebabta-dam-meskiana-oum-el-bouaghi" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160184.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">88</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">11</span> Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production, Effect of Metal Particle Size and Their Electronic/Optical Properties on the Reaction</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Idriss">Hicham Idriss</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Hydrogen production from water is one of the most promising methods to secure renewable sources or vectors of energy for societies in general and for chemical industries in particular. At present over 90% of the total amount of hydrogen produced in the world is made from non-renewable fossil fuels (via methane reforming). There are many methods for producing hydrogen from water and these include reducible oxide materials (solar thermal production), combined PV/electrolysis, artificial photosynthesis and photocatalysis. The most promising of these processes is the one relying on photocatalysis; yet serious challenges are hindering its success so far. In order to make this process viable considerable improvement of the photon conversion is needed. Among the key studies that our group has been conducting in the last few years are those focusing on synergism between the semiconductor phases, photonic band gap materials, pn junctions, plasmonic resonance responses, charge transfer to metal cations, in addition to metal dispersion and band gap engineering. In this work results related to phase transformation of the anatase to rutile in the case of TiO2 (synergism), of Au and Ag dispersion (electron trapping and hydrogen-hydrogen recombination centers) as well as their plasmon resonance response (visible light conversion) are presented and discussed. It is found for example that synergism between the two common phases of TiO2 (anatase and rutile) is sensitive to the initial particle size. It is also found, in agreement with previous results, that the rate is very sensitive to the amount of metals (with similar particle size) on the surface unlike the case of thermal heterogeneous catalysis. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=photo-catalysis" title="photo-catalysis">photo-catalysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrogen%20production" title=" hydrogen production"> hydrogen production</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=water%20splitting" title=" water splitting"> water splitting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=plasmonic" title=" plasmonic"> plasmonic</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58967/photocatalytic-hydrogen-production-effect-of-metal-particle-size-and-their-electronicoptical-properties-on-the-reaction" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58967.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">253</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10</span> Microalgae as Promising Biostimulants of Plant Tolerance Against Heavy Metals</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Soufiane%20Fal">Soufiane Fal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abderahim%20Aasfar"> Abderahim Aasfar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20Ouhssain"> Ali Ouhssain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hasnae%20Choukri"> Hasnae Choukri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abelaziz%20Smouni"> Abelaziz Smouni</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20El%20Arroussi"> Hicham El Arroussi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Heavy metals contamination is a major environmental concern around the world. It has a harmful impact on plant productivity and poses a serious risk to humans and animals health. In the present study, the effect of Microalgae Crude Extract (MCE) on tomato growth and nutrients uptake exposed to 2 mM Pb2+ and Cd2+ was investigated. In results, 2 mM Pb2+ and Cd2+ showed a significant reduction of tomatobiomass and perturbation in nutrients absorption. Moreover, MCE application in tomato plant exposed to Pb2+ and Cd2+ showed a significant enhancement of biomass compared to tomato plants under Pb2+ and Cd2+. On the other hand, MCE application favoured heavy metals accumulation in root and inhibited their translocation to shoot as phytostabilisation mechanism. Tomato plants showed biochemical responses to Pb2+ and Cd2+ stress with elevation of scavenging enzymes and molecules such as POD, CAT, SOD, Proline, and polyphenols, etc. In addition, the treatment by MCE showed a significant reduction level of the majority of these parameters. Furthermore, the metabolomic analysis revealed a significant change in important metabolites. Pb2+ and Cd2+ showed decrease in SFA and increase of UFA, VLFA, alkanes, alkenes, sterols, which known accumulated as tolerance and resistance mechanism to heavy metal (H.M) stress. However, MCE treatment showed the inverse of these response to return tomato plants to normal state and enhanced tolerance and resistance to heavy metal stress. In the present study, we emphasized that MCE can alleviate H.M stress, enhance tomato plant growth nutrients absorption and improve biochemical responses. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=microalgae%20crude%20extract" title="microalgae crude extract">microalgae crude extract</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=heavy%20metal%20stress" title=" heavy metal stress"> heavy metal stress</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nutrient%20uptake" title=" nutrient uptake"> nutrient uptake</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=metabolomic%20analysis" title=" metabolomic analysis"> metabolomic analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=solanum%20lycopersicum%20%28Tomato%29" title=" solanum lycopersicum (Tomato)"> solanum lycopersicum (Tomato)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phytostabilisation" title=" phytostabilisation"> phytostabilisation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145310/microalgae-as-promising-biostimulants-of-plant-tolerance-against-heavy-metals" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145310.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">114</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">9</span> From Sampling to Sustainable Phosphate Recovery from Mine Waste Rock Piles</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Amar">Hicham Amar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mustapha%20El%20Ghorfi"> Mustapha El Ghorfi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yassine%20Taha"> Yassine Taha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdellatif%20Elghali"> Abdellatif Elghali</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachid%20Hakkou"> Rachid Hakkou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mostafa%20Benzaazoua"> Mostafa Benzaazoua</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Phosphate mine waste rock (PMWR) generated during ore extraction is continuously increasing, resulting in a significant environmental footprint. The main objectives of this study consist of i) elaboration of the sampling strategy of PMWR piles, ii) a mineralogical and chemical characterization of PMWR piles, and iii) 3D block model creation to evaluate the potential valorization of the existing PMWR. Destructive drilling using reverse circulation from 13 drills was used to collect samples for chemical (X-ray fluorescence analysis) and mineralogical assays. The 3D block model was created based on the data set, including chemical data of the realized drills using Datamine RM software. The optical microscopy observations showed that the sandy phosphate from drills in the PMWR piles is characterized by the abundance of carbonate fluorapatite with the presence of calcite, dolomite, and quartz. The mean grade of composite samples was around 19.5±2.7% for P₂O₅. The mean grade of P₂O₅ exhibited an increasing tendency by depth profile from bottom to top of PMWR piles. 3D block model generated with chemical data confirmed the tendency of the mean grades’ variation and may allow a potential selective extraction according to %P₂O₅. The 3D block model of P₂O₅ grade is an efficient sampling approach that confirmed the variation of P₂O₅ grade. This integrated approach for PMWR management will be a helpful tool for decision-making to recover the residual phosphate, adopting the circular economy and sustainability in the phosphate mining industry. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=3D%20modelling" title="3D modelling">3D modelling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reverse%20circulation%20drilling" title=" reverse circulation drilling"> reverse circulation drilling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=circular%20economy" title=" circular economy"> circular economy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phosphate%20mine%20waste%20rock" title=" phosphate mine waste rock"> phosphate mine waste rock</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sampling" title=" sampling"> sampling</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/172201/from-sampling-to-sustainable-phosphate-recovery-from-mine-waste-rock-piles" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/172201.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">77</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8</span> Integrative Transcriptomic Profiling of NK Cells and Monocytes: Advancing Diagnostic and Therapeutic Strategies for COVID-19</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Salma%20Loukman">Salma Loukman</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Reda%20Benmrid"> Reda Benmrid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Najat%20Bouchmaa"> Najat Bouchmaa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Hboub"> Hicham Hboub</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachid%20El%20Fatimy"> Rachid El Fatimy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachid%20Benhida"> Rachid Benhida</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, it use integrated transcriptomic datasets from the GEO repository with the purpose of investigating immune dysregulation in COVID-19. Thus, in this context, we decided to be focused on NK cells and CD14+ monocytes gene expression, considering datasets GSE165461 and GSE198256, respectively. Other datasets with PBMCs, lung, olfactory, and sensory epithelium and lymph were used to provide robust validation for our results. This approach gave an integrated view of the immune responses in COVID-19, pointing out a set of potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets with special regard to standards of physiological conditions. IFI27, MKI67, CENPF, MBP, HBA2, TMEM158, THBD, HBA1, LHFPL2, SLA, and AC104564.3 were identified as key genes from our analysis that have critical biological processes related to inflammation, immune regulation, oxidative stress, and metabolic processes. Consequently, such processes are important in understanding the heterogeneous clinical manifestations of COVID-19—from acute to long-term effects now known as 'long COVID'. Subsequent validation with additional datasets consolidated these genes as robust biomarkers with an important role in the diagnosis of COVID-19 and the prediction of its severity. Moreover, their enrichment in key pathophysiological pathways presented them as potential targets for therapeutic intervention. The results provide insight into the molecular dynamics of COVID-19 caused by cells such as NK cells and other monocytes. It is used in different nutritional and therapeutic fields. Algerian honey was studied for its physicochemical parameters, nutritional values (moisture, brix, pH, electrical conductivity, and amounts of HMF, proteins, proline, total phenolic compounds and flavonoids) and some biological activities (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and enzymatic anti-browning). The antioxidant activities of the samples were estimated using different methods (ABTS, DPPH free radicals scavenging, reducing power, and chelating ferrous activity). All honeys were acidic (3.45≤pH≤4.65). The color varied from mimosa yellow to dark brown. The specific rotation was levorotatory in most honey samples, and the electrical conductivity, hydroxymethylfurfural, and proline values agreed with the international honey requirements. For anti-inflammatory activity, the results showed that the inhibiting capacity of the denaturation of the BSA of the honey analyzed varied from 15 to 75 % with a maximum of activity at the concentration of 0,5 mg/ml. All honey exhibited enzymatic anti-browning on different slices of fruits. In fact, the results showed that the controls have the greatest browning unit compared to the honeys studied and PPO and POD enzymes had the lowest enzyme activity. High significant correlations were found between the color of honey, its antioxidant content and its biological activities (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and enzymatic anti-browning). The dark color of honey is a good indicator of the best biological properties, therefore, the best nutritional and therapeutic values. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=honey" title="honey">honey</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=physico-chemical%20parameters" title=" physico-chemical parameters"> physico-chemical parameters</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bioactive%20compounds" title=" bioactive compounds"> bioactive compounds</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biological%20properties" title=" biological properties"> biological properties</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/185000/chemical-composition-and-biological-properties-of-algerian-honeys" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/185000.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">55</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6</span> Steady and Spatio-Temporal Monitoring of Water Quality Feeding Area Southwest of Great Casablanca (Morocco)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Maklache">Hicham Maklache</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajae%20Delhi"> Rajae Delhi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatiha%20Benzha"> Fatiha Benzha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohamed%20Tahiri"> Mohamed Tahiri </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In Morocco, where semi-arid climate is dominant, the supply of industrial and drink water is provided primarily by surface water. The results were performed in a spatio-temporal scale and helped to establish a history of monitoring water quality during the 2009-2011 cycles, the study also presents the development of quality according to the seasonal rhythmicity and rainfall. It gives also an overview on the concept of watershed stewardship. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crude%20surface%20water%20quality" title="crude surface water quality">crude surface water quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oum%20Er%20Rbia%20hydraulic%20basin" title=" Oum Er Rbia hydraulic basin"> Oum Er Rbia hydraulic basin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spatio-temporal%20monitoring" title=" spatio-temporal monitoring"> spatio-temporal monitoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Great%20Casablanca%20drink%20water%20quality" title=" Great Casablanca drink water quality"> Great Casablanca drink water quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Morocco" title=" Morocco"> Morocco</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38574/steady-and-spatio-temporal-monitoring-of-water-quality-feeding-area-southwest-of-great-casablanca-morocco" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38574.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">443</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">5</span> Climatic and Human Impact on Karst Aquifer in Semi Arid Zone</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benhammadi%20Hocine">Benhammadi Hocine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fehdi%20Chemseddine"> Fehdi Chemseddine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chaffai%20Hicham"> Chaffai Hicham</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The study site is the plateau Cheria, a city in south eastern Algeria (Tebessa) thanks to its structure perched syncline is the region of Tebessa a real water tower. Special rates provided by some boreholes and wells around the city Cheria have long been led to believe that the reserves were virtually limitless. The investigations carried out in this region have located karstified limestone areas at depth of 100 meters of the carbonate formation. During the last two decades a rainfall deficit has increased the effect of drought has caused an increase in flow from this aquifer. The effect on water resources is a significant and progressive reduction of the static level of the karst aquifer. The qualitative aspect has also been marked by degradation. This climate variability marked by the decade of drought (1990/2000) has had the effect on the local population, a forced change of their activity primarily agricultural. Abandoning agro pastoral mode due to prolonged drought, populations chose agriculture maraichère consumer a lot of water, this increasing the depletion of water resources. This change in activity was accompanied by a rural exodus to urban areas. The result has led to an increase in population in the urban areas, this has resulted in an increase in water demand and an increase in emissions (waste water). Uncontrolled discharges contribute to pollute a little more groundwater. The second consequence is type Geotechnical, it is the appearance of sinkholes, results of the alternating periods of drought and violent floods. Sinkholes are a real concern for the management and urban development. An interdisciplinary contribution (geology, hydrology, climatology and management) is essential to reduce or avoid impacts in different sectors. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aquifer" title="aquifer">aquifer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carbonate%20formation" title=" carbonate formation"> carbonate formation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=drought" title=" drought"> drought</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=exodus" title=" exodus"> exodus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=resources" title=" resources"> resources</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ch%C3%A9ria" title=" chéria"> chéria</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Alg%C3%A9ria" title=" Algéria"> Algéria</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17682/climatic-and-human-impact-on-karst-aquifer-in-semi-arid-zone" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17682.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">451</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4</span> Using Geographic Information System and Analytic Hierarchy Process for Detecting Forest Degradation in Benslimane Forest, Morocco</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Loubna%20Khalile">Loubna Khalile</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Lahlaoi"> Hicham Lahlaoi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hassan%20Rhinane"> Hassan Rhinane</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A.%20Kaoukaya"> A. They are a place of relaxation, walk and rest a playground for sport and youths. According to United Nations Organization Forests cover 31% of the land. In Morocco in 2013 that cover 12.65 % of the total land area, still, a small proportion compared to the natural needs of forests as a green lung of our planet. The Benslimane Forest is a large green area It belongs to Chaouia-Ouardigha Region and Greater Casablanca Region, it is located geographically between Casablanca is considered the economic and business Capital of Morocco and Rabat the national political capital, with an area of 12261.80 Hectares. The essential problem usually encountered in suburban forests, is visitation and tourism pressure it is anthropogenic actions, as well as other ecological and environmental factors. In recent decades, Morocco has experienced a drought year that has influenced the forest with increasing human pressure and every day it suffers heavy losses, as well as over-exploitation. The Moroccan forest ecosystems are weak with intense ecological variation, domanial and imposed usage rights granted to the population; forests are experiencing a significant deterioration due to forgetfulness and immoderate use of forest resources which can influence the destruction of animal habitats, vegetation, water cycle and climate. The purpose of this study is to make a model of the degree of degradation of the forest and know the causes for prevention by using remote sensing and geographic information systems by introducing climate and ancillary data. Analytic hierarchy process was used to find out the degree of influence and the weight of each parameter, in this case, it is found that anthropogenic activities have a fairly significant impact has thus influenced the climate. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=analytic%20hierarchy%20process" title="analytic hierarchy process">analytic hierarchy process</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=degradation" title=" degradation"> degradation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=forest" title=" forest"> forest</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=geographic%20information%20system" title=" geographic information system"> geographic information system</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61279/using-geographic-information-system-and-analytic-hierarchy-process-for-detecting-forest-degradation-in-benslimane-forest-morocco" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61279.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">325</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">3</span> Study of Phase Separation Behavior in Flexible Polyurethane Foam</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=El%20Hatka%20Hicham">El Hatka Hicham</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hafidi%20Youssef"> Hafidi Youssef</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saghiri%20Khalid"> Saghiri Khalid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ittobane%20Najim"> Ittobane Najim</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Flexible polyurethane foam (FPUF) is a low-density cellular material generally used as a cushioning material in many applications such as furniture, bedding, packaging, etc. It is commercially produced during a continuous process, where a reactive mixture of foam chemicals is poured onto a moving conveyor. FPUFs are produced by the catalytic balancing of two reactions involved, the blowing reaction (isocyanate-water) and the gelation reaction (isocyanate-polyol). The microstructure of FPUF is generally composed of soft phases (polyol phases) and rigid domains that separate into two domains of different sizes: the rigid polyurea microdomains and the macrodomains (larger aggregates). The morphological features of FPUF are strongly influenced by the phase separation morphology that plays a key role in determining the global FPUF properties. This phase-separated morphology results from a thermodynamic incompatibility between soft segments derived from aliphatic polyether and hard segments derived from the commonly used aromatic isocyanate. In order to improve the properties of FPUF against the different stresses faced by this material during its use, we report in this work a study of the phase separation phenomenon in FPUF that has been examined using SAXS WAXS and FTIR. Indeed, we have studied with these techniques the effect of water, isocyanates, and alkaline chlorides on the phase separation behavior. SAXS was used to study the morphology of the microphase separated, WAXS to examine the nature of the hard segment packing, and FTIR to investigate the hydrogen bonding characteristics of the materials studied. The prepared foams were shown to have different levels of urea phase connectivity; the increase in water content in the FPUF formulation leads to an increase in the amount of urea formed and consequently the increase of the size of urea aggregates formed. Alkali chlorides (NaCl, KCl, and LiCl) incorporated into FPUF formulations show that is the ability to prevent hydrogen bond formation and subsequently alter the rigid domains. FPUFs prepared by different isocyanate structures showed that urea aggregates are difficult to be formed in foams prepared by asymmetric diisocyanate, while are more easily formed in foams prepared by symmetric and aliphatic diisocyanate. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flexible%20polyurethane%20foam" title="flexible polyurethane foam">flexible polyurethane foam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hard%20segments" title=" hard segments"> hard segments</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phase%20separation" title=" phase separation"> phase separation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=soft%20segments" title=" soft segments"> soft segments</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/148288/study-of-phase-separation-behavior-in-flexible-polyurethane-foam" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/148288.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">162</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">2</span> Articulating the Colonial Relation, a Conversation between Afropessimism and Anti-Colonialism</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thomas%20Compton">Thomas Compton</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> As Decolonialism becomes an important topic in Political Theory, the rupture between the colonized and the colonist relation has lost attention. Focusing on the anti-colonial activist Madhi Amel, we shall consider his attention to the permanence of the colonial relation and how it preempts Frank Wilderson’s formulation of (white) culturally necessary Anti-Black violence. Both projects draw attention away from empirical accounts of oppression, instead focusing on the structural relation which precipitates them. As Amel says that we should stop thinking of the ‘underdeveloped’ as beyond the colonial relation, Wilderson says we should stop think of the Black rights that have surpassed the role of the slave. However, Amel moves beyond his idol Althusser’s Structuralism toward a formulation of the colonial relation as source of domination. Our analysis will take a Lacanian turn in considering how this non-relation was formulated as a relation how this space of negativity became a ideological opportunity for Colonial domination. Wilderson’s work shall problematise this as we conclude with his criticisms of Structural accounts for the failure to consider how Black social death exists as more than necessity but a cite of white desire. Amel, a Lebanese activist and scholar (re)discovered by Hicham Safieddine, argues colonialism is more than the theft of land, but instead a privatization of collective property and form of investment which (re)produces the status of the capitalist in spaces ‘outside’ the market. Although Amel was a true Marxist-Leninsist, who exposited the economic determinacy of the Colonial Mode of Production, we are reading this account through Alenka Zupančič’s reformulation of the ‘invisible hand job of the market’. Amel points to the signifier ‘underdeveloped’ as buttressed on a pre-colonial epistemic break, as the Western investor (debt collector) sees the (post?) colony narcissistic image. However, the colony can never become site of class conflict, as the workers are not unified but existing between two countries. In industry, they are paid in Colonial subjectivisation, the promise of market (self)pleasure, at home, they are refugees. They are not, as Wilderson states, in the permanent social death of the slave, but they are less than the white worker. This is formulated as citizen (white), non-citizen (colonized), anti-citizen (Black/slave). Here we may also think of how indentured Indians were used as instruments of colonial violence. Wilderson’s aphorism “there is no analogy to anti-Black violence” lays bare his fundamental opposition between colonial and specifically anti-Black violence. It is not only that the debt collector, landowner, or other owners of production pleasures themselves as if their hand is invisible. The absolute negativity between colony and colonized provides a new frontier for desire, the development of a colonial mode of production. An invention inside the colonial structure that is generative of class substitution. We shall explore how Amel ignores the role of the slave but how Wilderson forecloses the history African anti-colonial. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=afropessimism" title="afropessimism">afropessimism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fanon" title=" fanon"> fanon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=marxism" title=" marxism"> marxism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=postcolonialism" title=" postcolonialism"> postcolonialism</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/147120/articulating-the-colonial-relation-a-conversation-between-afropessimism-and-anti-colonialism" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/147120.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">154</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1</span> Nanofluids and Hybrid Nanofluids: Comparative Study of Mixed Convection in a Round Bottom Flask</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hicham%20Salhi">Hicham Salhi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This research project focuses on the numerical investigation of the mixed convection of Hybrid nanofluids in a round bottom flask commonly used in organic chemistry synthesis.
