It started from user analysis, trying to understand what the user's needs and motivations were for using the app. </p><p>In this sense, a taskflow was done to identify the focal points of interaction and personas were built to identify the type of user to focus on. </p><p>After several exchanges with the client and the development team, we moved on to the creation of the information architecture, which could summarize how to structure the app. Next came the design of wireframes and the presentation of the first prototypes. </p><p>Once the structure of the app was consolidated, the design, the set of all the components that are needed in the app, was designed. </p><p>At this stage there were some delays since Gallerie d'Italia went through a rebranding phase that had to be respected in the appearance of the user interface. </p><p>Once the design system was defined, the first fully functional prototype was made and developed by the Inmagik team.</p></div></div></div><div Solution</div></div><div id="w-node-_16c92035-6978-6014-59fb-5b4fa216e76d-8fecc64b" class="contents"><div class="h3 ux">Simplicity over all</div><div class="p ux gray w-richtext"><p>The app went through several stages of redesign, in which at the request of the client various user features were integrated. </p><p>It is divided into four sections: </p><ul role="list"><li>the museum section houses general information, such as current exhibitions and schedules, as well as space for featured content to be placed as desired</li><li>the visit section that contains the map, which is activated during the visit helping the user on wayfinding, and details about the permanent collection</li><li>the Galleries+ section with museum-curated content such as videos and podcasts about the exhibitions</li><li>Calendar with the entire schedule of exhibitions and events. </li></ul><p>‍</p><p>To solve the multi-location issue, a pop-up selector has been designed that allows the user to switch from a general "project" view of all the museums' offerings, to the view of each individual location where the contents of the different sections of the app are filtered by the chosen location. </p><p>In addition to these, there are other features such as local notifications to help with wayfinding, a user menu, and an end-of-visit questionnaire to collect
