href="https://www.iucc.ac.il/he/infrastructuretechnologies/networking/iif/">eduGAIN</a> – ה-Identity Federation של מחב”א הינו האוניברסיטאות בישראל אשר הגיעו להסכם על הליך סטנדרטי של שיתוף מידע על משתמשים ומשאבים בכדי לאפשר למשתמשים גישה לאותם משאבים ושירותים. השירות מנוהלת בידי מחב”א ומהווה חלק מ-<a href="https://www.iucc.ac.il/he/infrastructuretechnologies/networking/iif/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">eduGAIN</a>, השותפות הפן-אירופית בין הפדרציות של <a href="http://geant.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GÉANT</a>.</li> <li><a ידי האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים</li> <li>גישה למערכות תפוצת דואר כגון MAILMAN או LISTSERV המספקת שירותים לצוות האקדמי, המנהלתי והטכני של האוניברסיטאות.</li> <li>הנפקת תעודה אלקטרונית (אישור דיגיטלי או class="post-title"> טופולוגיה</h2> <div class="t-freeText"> <p dir="RTL" style="text-align: right;" align="left">רשת ILAN מבוססת על רשת כוכב כפול ייחודית בעלת שמונה צמתים. החיבור של שני POPs אלו (האחד ממוקם באוניברסיטת תל-אביב, והשני באתר ניטרלי סמוך המכונה Med-1) הוא קישור סיב אפל, הפועל במהירות של 20 ג'יגה-סיביות/שנייה. כל אחת משמונה האוניברסיטאות של ישראל מתחברת לשני POPs אלו בקישורי 10-20 ג'יגה-סיביות/שנייה ו 1-2 ג'יגה-סיביות/שנייה , המסופקים על ידי ספקי טלקומוניקציה מסחריים שונים. המעבר האוטומטי לגיבוי בעת כשל של קישורים אלו מטופל על ידי פרוטוקול הניתוב OSPF.</p> <p dir="RTL" style="text-align: right;" align="left">התקשורת הבינלאומית מסופקת לחברים דרך שני קישורי 40 ג'יגה-סיביות/שנייה, שמסתיים בפרנקפורט ובלונדון. הקישורים האלה מחברים את מחב"א לרשת <a <div class="t-freeText"> <p dir="RTL" style="text-align: right;" align="left">תשתית הטלקומוניקציה של מחב"א נוצרה בשנת 1984 עם קו קדם-אינטרנט בינלאומי של 9.6 קילו-בתים/שנייה לרשת ה-EARN האירופית. בשנת 1990, החל לפעול קו האינטרנט הבינלאומי הראשון מישראל לארה"ב בקצב של 64 קילו‑בתים/שנייה.</p> <p dir="RTL" style="text-align: right;" align="left">במשך שלוש שנים (1994‏-‏1996), הפעילה מחב"א צומת מרכזי לחיבורי אינטרנט עבור חברות היי-טק בישראל, וכן עבור ספקי טלקומוניקציה שונים (לפני קיומו של הצומת המרכזי של אגודת האינטרנט הישראלית, המכונה IIX‏). בשנת 1997, הועברה האחריות על מחלף האינטרנט הישראלי (IIX) אל <a href="http://www.isoc.org.il/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">איגוד האינטרנט הישראלי (<b>ISOC-IL</b>‏),</a> ובשנת 1999 חוברה מחב"א לרשת <a href="http://www.internet2.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">אינטרנט-2</a> בארה"ב ולרשת המחקר האירופית <a href="http://map.geant.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GÉANT</a>.</p> <p dir="RTL" style="text-align: right;" align="left">מחב"א היתה
