team of individuals dedicated to protecting the safety and security of everyone who lives, works and studies at the University.</strong></p> <p>We have an on-Campus presence <strong>24 hours a day, 365 days a year</strong> to provide pastoral support to everyone within our community.</p> <p>Additionally, we are responsible for helping to protect the University's physical assets and buildings to Look out for the blue Community Safety gazebo.</p> <p><strong>Planning on cycling to explore the area?</strong> Don't forget to register your bike with <a href="https://www.bikeregister.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BikeRegister<i class='new-window-link' aria-hidden='true' title='Link opens in a new window'></i><span class='sr-only'>Link opens in a new window</span></a> to help keep your bike safe and be sure to get yourself a solid D-Lock to deter would be thieves. We recommend locks with the <a href="https://thebestbikelock.com/best-bike-lock/sold-secure-gold-bike-locks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sold Secure<i class='new-window-link' aria-hidden='true' title='Link opens in a new window'></i><span class='sr-only'>Link opens in a new window</span></a> award. When the nights draw closer and it becomes dark sooner, don't forget to get some bike lights or reflectors to make sure you are visible while cycling in the dark.</p> <p><strong>If you live off campus and need to walk home, be sure to stick to well lit, populated areas.</strong> Take a look at our <a href="https://warwick.ac.uk/students/news/newsevents/personal_safety_when_travelling/canley_map.pdf">local area map</a> which shows the most well lit routes into the local area. If you are travelling further, consider taking the bus or a taxi to get home quickly and safely, while staying warm.
