Led by medical director and UCSF health radiation oncologist, Emi Yoshida, the ROC’s multidisciplinary team uses leading-edge treatment planning and delivery systems. Dr. Yoshida collaborates and works closely with physicians at the UCSF – Washington Cancer Center and others in the community.</p> <h2>Genetic counseling program</h2> <p>For families with a history of cancer, UCSF offers the largest genetic testing center for cancer in Northern California. Genetic counselors, conveniently located in Fremont at Washington Hospital, offer genetic counseling and testing for patients and their families. Based on your family history and other risk factors, genetic counselors provide individualized risk management recommendations, which include options for cancer screening and preventive measures. Genetic counseling is provided for both men and women. A doctor's referral is preferred but not required.
