Its main idea is that the whole innovation process is controlled by the enterprise which may gather a large member of participants (i.e., crowd intelligence) as sources of innovation based on project requirements; the attendees can efficiently solve the design problems by the way of guidance-collaboration in the process. The community of crowd intelligence collaborative innovation is a new type of open innovation community. Since such kind of community is still in its infancy, little work has been done heretofore to explore its characteristic and operation mechanism. In particular, no empirical research has specifically analyzed the user roles, the evolution and driving factors of participants’ innovation behavior. Therefore, to fill the gap, this research aims to probe the users’ participation behavior in the context of crowd intelligence collaborative innovation community. Research issues are as follows: explore the functions and characteristics of such community, and analyze the evolution rule of users’ contribution behavior in innovation projects; establish user relationship networks, probe the optimization methods of user clustering, analyze users’ ability characteristics, and then, define user roles based on the evolution rules and construct user segmentation model; build the evaluation system of participants, explore the identify methods towards different roles of users; probe the factors which influence the development of users’ participation behavior in innovation projects, and explore the incentive methods to stimulate the users’ initiative.
